Obituary: Judy White Ogilvy, 81, went to be with her Lord on 11, 2014. Judy was born 6, 1933 in Ozona, Texas to Evart and Ruth White. Judy was married in 1955 to Alex Buck Ogilvy III, the love her life. are now rejoined and he is able to care for her again in their new Heavenly life together. Judy was preceded in death by her parents, sister and brother-in-law Barbara and Sid Moughon, mother-in-law and father-in-law Alex and Bonnie Ogilvy, sister-in-law Bertha Joyce Ogilvy and daughter-in-law Cynthia Ogilvy. Judy attended Southern Methodist University and graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in English. She taught Kindergarten in Ozona; and after moving to Odessa in 1957, taught Special Education with ECISD at Pease Elementary and Bonham Junior High. She retired in 1980. Judy was very active in her community, and there are very few organizations in the Permian Basin that she did not touch in some way. Her volunteer work began as an active member of the Junior League of Odessa. She worked with its many projects including the founding of the Odessa Abused Children's now known as Harmony . she retired, she took on more volunteer jobs including the Board of Directors of the following organizations; the Texas Tech Science , Presidential Museum, Reach Out and Read, Midland Odessa Symphony, Contemporary Study Club, Permian Basin Rehabilitation , and the Crystal Ball Foundation. She was also an active member of First United Methodist Church. She was Chairman of the first Great American Smoke out and taught smoking cessation classes. She chaired the Boy Scouts Distinguished Citizen Fund Raiser; which honored First Lady Laura Bush. She and Buck Also supported many other organizations such as the ECISD Education Foundation, UTPB, Odessa , Permian Playhouse, Globe of the Great Southwest, Meals on Wheels and many others. Judy is survived by her sons Mike Ogilvy and wife Sarah Ogilvy, Tim Ogilvy, and daughter Judy Withrow and Mike of Odessa, grandchildren Christopher and wife Jaclyn, Stephen and Matthew Withrow, Lonnie McComas and wife Brenda of Odessa, Becky Boone and husband Bill of Midland and Jamie Davis and husband Chris of Kentucky. Great grandchildren Sarah Ann Bedwell, and Amanda Boone of Midland, Austin McComas of Odessa, Cynthia Lynn Davis and Cayden Davis of Kentucky, and Walker Withrow as well as many nieces and nephews. The family would like to extend a very special thank you to the staffs of Manor Park Helen Great House and Parks Methodist Retirement Village. We were very blessed to meet Ms. Mary at Parks. There are very few people as special as her. The family will receive friends from 2P.M. to 4P.M. , 13, 2014 at Frank W. Wilson , and there will be a graveside service on , 14, 2014 at 3P.M. at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Obituary: Alex Buck Ogilvy III, 77, went to be with his Lord on 29, 2010 after a courageously fought battle with cancer. Buck was born 18, 1933 in Baird, Texas to Alex Ogilvy and Juanita Bowlus Ogilvy. Bucks mother died when he was very young. His family moved to Odessa in 1937 where his father met and married Bonnie Birdwell who became his beloved mother. Buck is preceded in death by his parents, sister Bertha Joyce Ogilvy, mother and father-in-Law Ruth and Evart White, sister-in-law Barbara White Moughon and daughter-in-law Cynthia Ogilvy. serving in the U.S. Army from 1953 to 1955, he returned to Odessa and married his wife of 55 years Judy White Ogilvy. Buck attended Texas Tech University and graduated in 1958 with a Bachelors degree in Accounting. Buck joined his Father at Ector Abstract & Title Co. in 1958 and served as its President until his death. He took great joy in getting to celebrate the companys 100th anniversary this year as one of Ector s oldest businesses. He was a founding member of Asbury United Methodist Church, and later returned to the church in which he grew up, First United Methodist. Buck was a member of the Texas Land Title Association and served as a regional Vice President. He was a member of the Odessa Chamber of Commerce and served on many committees including the Odessa Jaycees, The Odessa Board of Realtors, The Texas Association of Realtors, Life Member of The Texas Real Estate Political Action Committee, the Commemorative Air Force and the Presidents Council of Texas Tech University. He was an Odessa Business Hall of Fame Inductee and received the Community Statesman Recipient for Service in a Profession award from the Heritage of Odessa Foundation. He was currently serving on the board of The Odessa Industrial Development Corporation, and the Historic Preservation Commission. Over many years he supported numerous local projects and charities such as The University of Texas of the Permian Basin Partners Scholarship Fund, Permian Playhouse, Meals on Wheels of Odessa, Junior League of Odessa, Midland-Odessa Symphony and Choral, Globe Theater of the Southwest, Permian Basin Rehabilitation , The Crystal Ball Foundation, Texas Tech University Science , Buffalo Trail Council of the Boy Scouts of America, the Presidential Museum, Ellen Noel Art Museum of the Permian Basin, Main Street Odessa, Odessa , Ector Independent School District Education Foundation, Youth Baseball and many others. Buck is survived by his wife Judy White Ogilvy, sons Mike Ogilvy and wife Sarah, Tim Ogilvy and daughter Judy Withrow and husband Mike of Odessa; grandchildren Christopher, Stephen and Matthew Withrow, Lonnie McComas and wife Brenda, Becky Boone and husband Bill of Midland, and Jamie Davis and husband Chris of Kentucky. Great grandchildren Sarah Ann Bedwell and Amanda Boone of Midland, Austin McComas of Odessa and Cynthia Lynn Davis of Kentucky as well as many nieces and nephews. The family would like to extend a very special thank you to his Dr. Eugene Wyszynski and Dr. John Doran as well as the entire staff of the CCU Unit and 5th floor of Medical Hospital. There will be a private family burial at Sunset Memorial Gardens Morning with a Celebration of His Life at 2 pm at the First United Methodist Church.
