Born in Manchester, 26, 1927, she was a daughter of Albert L. and Irene (Dionne) Leclerc Sr. She was a lifelong resident of Manchester. She worked at J.F. McElwain Shoe Co. for 30 years. She was predeceased by her first husband, Laurier A. Cote in 1979, and by her second husband, Francis T. OConnell, in 2002. She was also predeceased by a sister, Pauline Beaulieu. Family members include two daughters, Patricia A. Lefebvre and her husband Jacques, of Goffstown, and Joyce Rand and her husband Daniel, of Manchester; a son, Michael A. Cote and his fiancee Barbara Bickford, of Gilford; six grandchildren, Michael Labrecque, Jack Lefebvre Jr., Tiffany Crawford, Aaron Cote, Brad Cote, and Jonathan Cote; five great grandchildren, Alex Crawford, Felicia Crawford, Isaiah Crawford, Andre Lefebvre, and Dylan Cote; three sisters, Georgette Marcil, Anita Larochelle, and Connie Robidoux, all of Daytona, FL; three brothers, Albert L. Obituary: Joan Evelyn Obuchowski, 83, of Troy passed away peacefully 10, 2016 at the Genesis home in Keene. She spent five years at Genesis and was very well cared for by their loving staff. The staff always commented on Joans charming smile. She was born 5, 1932, daughter of Paul Daniels and Evelyn Conant Daniels Corbett. She was born in Randolph, VT and moved to Walpole, NH at a very young age. Joan went to school in Walpole for twelve years and made many lifelong friends. Her class had many reunions that Joan enjoyed attending. Joan played basketball for Walpole but her true love was cheerleading. She was captain of the cheerleading squad. Joan attended the Walpole Congregational Church where she was an acolyte and sang in the choir. graduation from Walpole HS she attended Northampton Commercial in Northampton, MA. She graduated with an Executive Secretary degree. Joan went to work in Springfield, MA at the Mass Mutual. Joan became engaged to her future husband Frank and moved back to Walpole. She went to work at Gay Express Trucking in Bellows Falls, VT. On 30, 1955 Joan married Frank Obuchowski at the Sacred Heart Church in Bellows Falls. lived in Bellows Falls for about two years and had a baby boy Peter who only lived one day. A tragedy. In Bellows Falls Joan was in the large ball bowling league. Joan made many friends in Bellows Falls and was active socially. Some of her Bellows Falls friends came to their 55th wedding anniversary. In 1957 Joan and Frank moved to Newport, NH where Frank was employed by the A&P Tea . In Newport, Joan went back to large ball bowling league. Joan was active in St. Patrick Church. While in Newport, Joan and Frank were blessed with three children David, Nancy and Mark. Three children, church, and bowling kept Joan busy. Many cookout and gatherings were held with friends and family at Lake Sunapee. In 1965 the family moved to Troy, NH as Frank went into retail business with Joans brother Bob. Joan was a Teachers Aide at Troy Elementary for more than ten years. More than fifty students would visit Mrs. O for Halloween trick or treating. She was an active volunteer, she served as Supervisor of Voting Checklist, worked at Helping Hand, and she was the first female lector at the Immaculate Conception Church of Troy as well as Treasurer of the Ladies Alter Society. Joan loved sports and attended many baseball, softball, basketball, field hockey and football games to watch her children. She enjoyed watching football and little league baseball on TV. Joan enjoyed guided bus tours having traveled on a 30-day cross country trip to California and back visiting 46 of the 48 States. She and Frank also visited Mexico and Eastern Canada including Nova Scotia, Cabot Trail, and Newfoundland and marveled at the ice bergs. On summer vacations all the family would go to Minerva, NY in the Adirondacks. Joan loved her children and grandchildren. She often cared for her grandchildren for the weekend. She was very proud of her children and grandchildren and would let any and all listeners know about it. She enjoyed reading, crossword puzzles and shopping. Joan retired from Monadnock School District, she turned her attention to her mother whose health was failing. Much time was spent traveling to and from South Deerfield, MA. She stayed with her mother many nights and weekends. Joan was loved by her family and surely will be missed by family and people who knew her. Survivors include her husband, Frank Obuchowski of Keene to whom she was married for 61 years, her children David, Nancy and Mark, their spouses and seven grandchildren. Joan had five brothers and is survived by her brother Randall. Calling Hours will be held on , 22, 2016, from 5:00 until 8:00 pm at the Fletcher . A funeral service will be held at the Immaculate Conception Church, 37 School St, Troy, NH on 23, 2016 at 11:00 am. The church will open at 9:00am. Obituary: Frank James Obuchowski passed , May 13, 2017 at the White River Junction Veteran Association Medical surrounded by family and the grace of God. Frank was the son of Harry Anthony Obuchowski and Helen Kissel Obuchowski. He was born 14, 1930 in Bellows Falls, VT, the youngest of four brothers and one sister: Joseph, Anthony, John and Elizabeth who have all previously passed. Frank attended elementary and high school in Bellows Falls and graduated in 1948. He played baseball and basketball in junior high and played three years of varsity baseball in high school. He also played summer baseball. Frank made many lifelong friends in school. He attended the Class of 1948s reunions every five years. He worked for the A&P Tea part-time all through his high school years, taking time off for sports. In 1952, Frank went into the Army during the Korean War. Four of Franks friends entered the service at the same time. All went overseas except Frank; he was schooled by the Army and became an instructor at Fort Knox, KY, A 761st Tank Battalion Combat Command B 3rd Armored Division. He was awarded two citations from the 3rd Armored Division for Outstanding Performance as an Instructor. Frank made some lifetime friends from the service. He served 2 years Active Duty, 6 years Reserve Duty, and then received an Honorable Discharge. On 30, 1955 Frank wed his long-time love Joan Evelyn Daniels at the Sacred Heart Church in Bellows Falls where Frank had been baptized and served as an alter boy. lived in Bellows Falls for two years where they had their first son Peter who lived for one day. moved to Newport, NH where Frank was employed by the A&P Tea as an assistance manager. Frank and Joan had three children in Newport: a son David, daughter Nancy, and son Mark. While in Newport Frank enjoyed hunting and fishing. Frank was the communicant of the St Patrick Church, member of the church committee, and member of the Knights of Columbus. Frank and Joan made many lifelong friends while in Newport. Sixty years after leaving Newport they still corresponded and visited with them. The family spent many summer days at Lake Sunapee. In 1966, Frank and family moved to Troy, NH to enter retail business with Joans brother Robert Daniels. Together they operated the Daniels Village store for multiple years then went into the hardware business. ran the Village Barn True Value Hardware store for twenty years. Frank served on many town committees and held multiple offices - the Board of Directors for the Troy Ambulance, Fair Hearings Office for Welfare, Water Commissioner, Trustee and Chair Person, and Town Auditor. He served on the Budget Committee and was Chair Person for twenty years, then later he served as the Water & Sewer Commissioner, Troy Industrial Development Committee, and the Helping Hand Board of Directors. Frank also served as the Chair Person for the Troy Summer Recreation Program (Sand Dam) for ten years. With help from federal grants and Tom Affiels, he turned the old swimming hole into a first-class summer recreational program - every child in Troy can swim. Later with matching funds he established a softball field on the north end of Troy for adults. One of Franks proudest accomplishments was the formation of the Gap Mountain Athletic Association, consisting of a Babe Ruth team that played in the city of Keene League, three little league baseball teams, two peewee baseball teams, and a girls lassie league softball team. The Gap Mountain Athletic Association was supported with gift donations and raffles. Franks children were all athletes in football, baseball, softball, field hockey and basketball. Frank and Joan stayed active, attending ball games to watch their children. Frank was an avid hunter of hare, turkey, deer, bear, and moose; he also loved to fish. His sons and grandsons hunted and fished with him. Frank, with sons and friends, hunted Utah, New Hampshire, New York and Pennsylvania with gun and bow. Frank was an active member of the Immaculate Conception Church in Troy for over forty-five years. He served on the committee for the church, was an usher, an alter server on many occasions, and the churchs handyman. Frank was also a Justice of the Peace and Bail Commissioner for the State of New Hampshire, Keene District Court, and Jaffrey District Court. Frank and Joan were married for nearly 61 years before her passing in of 2016. enjoyed vacations with the family; they would go to Lake Minerva and Lake Winnesquam. Frank and Joan also enjoyed guided bus tours, having traveled to all but 2 states in the lower 48, St Johns in Newfoundland and Labrador, Nova Scotia, and Mexico. Frank was very proud of his children and grandchildren. If you didn have 15 minutes to spare, don ask! Survivors include son David, his wife Wendi and their children Erin and Sean; daughter Nancy, her husband Ralph and her three children Tucker, Eli and Scout; son Mark, his wife Kasandra and their boys Dillon and Zachary; and brother-in-law Randy Daniels and wife Judy. Frank had many nephews, nieces, and cousins as well. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Immaculate Conception Church, 33 School St., Troy, NH.
