Obituary: Gregorio Allende-Osorio A.K.A Macho was a dedicated entrepreneur with many visions and many goals. Macho was born 20, 1981 in San Juan, Puerto Rico. He was only 14 years old when Mariel his mother brought him to Tampa. Macho was devoted, headstrong and very goal oriented young man. Nothing could stop him! He was a graduate from Sagrado Corazon, PR and University of South Florida. Macho spoke three languages (English, Spanish and Portuguese) However, he was devoted to learn Arabic. As a young man Macho developed the skill of a great break dancer; breaking barriers and showing a unique skill that was unmatched. High School he was professional Break Dancer for 10 years. Thru out that journey he discovers a hidden talent\ Bomba a unique call and response sound and dance that stirred his every motion. He developed an extraordinary technique that would demand your attention with every move. His vision was not to strengthen the knowledge of everyone in the Bomba community but to expand and educate all others that knew nothing of what Bomba was. Macho embraced his culture, his passion and mentored anyone who showed interest. Macho had broken many barriers in the Bomba community by adding electronic sounds and jazz to the already established music. Many disagreed and many encouraged and applauded his courage for reaching out side of the box. Like I said before\ Nothing can stop him!!! Macho was a great man, husband and father to our daughter Adalise. Macho and I had a long journey our selves. A funny one at that. I met Macho back in 98 in Math class. We had a substitute teacher one day and a group of us decided to play truth or dare! Ha, ha ha\ boy\ I never knew how fun Math class could be. I must say\ I was hooked! We dated for about three months. Unfortunately due to some family differences we had to end our relationship. We both went our separate ways. But for some reason fate always kept us close. Every time I saw him I got butterflies. One day, as I was working at Depot I saw his cousin Boro. His cousin wasted no time notifying Macho of his encounter with me and advised Macho where I was at. That was of 08. Little did I know, God had a plan. On a crazy day, I decided to invite my friend Joe and his wife Francis to the club called fuego. It was sure hot that day. I remember it like it was yesterday. My friends and I were having a few drinks as I look over\ I saw that smile! I instantly looked the other way and asked Joe\ Is that Macho??? He said well, it looks like Macho but if it is not him prepare yourself because he is coming your way. I swear, my buzz went away real fast! I knew I was in trouble when he approached me. He was determined. We talked, exchanged numbers immediately. (Not to mention he was with a girl there and I have no idea where she went because I never saw her again) And, so our journey began. We remained strong thru out our trials and tribulations. As he said 17 years ago; Janet, I love you and I will always love you. I thought it was kiddy talk back then. But, on his last day, last few hours\ he reminded me those words. He said Janet, I will Love you for the rest of my life. You were and always will be the woman for me. He was loved, admired, sought after, and cared for. He was an Icon. He was strong beyond belief. He made me a better woman, mother and a better friend. His smile lit up for days. He was always positive and believed that everyone had a purpose and encourage all to seek their individual strength and strive for success. Even in his worst moments he still gave thumbs up, smiled and told us all not to cry. He wanted his mother to know that she was the best mother he could have. He would not change anything. He wanted his father to know that he was an inspiration and despite that they did not talk everyday... he wanted him to know I will be listening every time you play your piano. He wanted his sister to finish everything she started; that he would be right there to support her. That he loved her and he was proud of the mother she is today. To his brother\ He wanted Juni to know that he admire his strength, he wanted to thank you for mentoring him; that he knows his purpose now and he will be forever grateful for all the knowledge he gave him. He wanted his Family to know that he appreciated every moment they took out there day to visit him. He wanted them to know that their support meant the world to him. Macho wanted to let all his friends know that you were his back bone, you were his friend, and you were his family too. He wanted everybody to know that he will live within us\ Forever!
