Obituary: James Robert Ojala, 64, was born on 15, 1948 in Hibbing, Minnesota, and passed away suddenly on , 10, 2013 in the beautiful waters of Cat Cay, Bahamas. He was a two time retiree - after completing a long career with United Parcel Service over 15 years ago, he recently retired from Lowes Improvement. He was full of character, never met a stranger in his life and was an avid fisherman, hunter and sport shooter. Jim is survived by his loving wife, Brenda, daughter's Jana McCranie & Stephanie Henry, his son-in-law John McCranie, Jr., brothers Raymond (Phyllis), Dale (Pam) and Bruce Ojala. Niece's Heather Ojala, Emilee Ojala, Brandy Bush, nephew Erik Ojala, grandson's Ian McCranie, Jacob, Jared and Jack Henry,great-niece's Madeline, Avonna, Amelia, great-nephew Kamren, along with a host of other loving family & friends, including his chair-side buddy Buster, his miniature schnauzer. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to either Susan G. Komen for the Cure , Breast Cancer Research or The National Rifle Association (Member ID #25243421). A memorial service will be held 16, 2:00 p.m., at the Hardage-Giddens , 729 S. Edgewood Ave., Jacksonville, with Pastor David Sheffield, Christ Redeemer Church Ponte Vedra, officiating, followed by a small reception. |
