Obituary: Charles Ross Ogle, 87, beloved husband and father, passed away 5, 2016, at his home in Lutz, Florida. Charles was born May 22, 1928, in Cincinnati, Ohio to Charlie Nicholson Ogle and Eva Ross Ogle. Charles left home at age 16 to serve his country during World War II in the Merchant Marine. the war, he enlisted in the U.S. Army and retired as a Lt. Colonel in 1971. He met his wife, Gloria Richers Ogle while stationed at Fort Bragg, N.C. and they married in 1954. Despite dropping out of school to join the war effort, he never lost sight of the importance of education, earning a bachelor’s degree, two master’s degrees and a doctorate degree during his lifetime. retiring from the Army, Charles pursued a career in the mental health profession, rising to the position of Assistant Commissioner of Mental for the State of Ohio. During his tenure with the State of Ohio, he managed two of the state’s mental hospitals on an interim basis. In addition to his work with the State of Ohio, Charles also taught at Embry Riddle University campuses in Ohio and Florida. Charles and Gloria retired to Florida in the early 90s and were active in their church and in the Tampa duplicate bridge community. Charles is survived by his wife of 61 years, Gloria Richers Ogle; his son, Charles Ross Ogle Jr. and his wife, Joan Ogle of Clearwater, Florida; his son, David Ogle and his wife, Malia Ogle of Powell, Ohio; grandsons, Christopher, Brian, Andrew, Matthew, Judd and Caleb Ogle; his sister, Wanda Moore and her husband, Bill Moore of Cincinnati, Ohio; his brother-in-law, Will Stauffer from Houston, Texas; numerous nieces and nephews; and a large number of friends. The visitation will be held 19, 2016 from 5-7 p.m. at the Blount & Curry , Carrollwood Chapel, 3207 West Bearss Avenue, Tampa, Florida, 33618. services will be held on , 20, 2016 at the Blount & Curry at 11 a.m. Graveside services will occur at a later date at Arlington National . In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the St Vincent de Paul Society. |

Obituary: Marie-Anna Ogilus, born 21, 1949, passed away at age 62 on , 8, 2012. Predeceased by her parents Jules and Marieannie and brothers Meprit and Odonel, and sister Presulie. A native of Gachinat Aubert, Port-De-Paix, Haiti, Marie-Anna migrated to Miami, FL in 1977 and was a longtime resident of Opa-Locka. She was a member of the Holy Family Catholic Church. Marie-Anna was a devoted sister to her brothers, Julson and Lefin, and sisters Juliana, Naila and Alicita. She was a committed aunt to her nieces and nephews, Frantz, Merlande, Shirley, Lubnie, Kenson, Juno Walkins, Betty, Nerlie, Sanchana, Valerie, Rachel, Guy, Bolivard, Egre, Rita, Natasha, Ketley, Rimand, Darline, Matino, Fanes. She had a close relationship with her cousins from the Blanc, Louis-Jean and Arne families. Marie-Anna will be remembered for her thinking of others, her outspoken nature and as the family archivist. Chances are she might have sent you a get-well card after an illness or accident, made you a congratulation plaque after an achievement, or mourned with you at the funeral of a loved one. She was also known for attending funerals, which became a family joke, when someone report to have seen her yet at another funeral. She was a politically savvy woman who spoke her mind by often offering her political views and attending protests for causes for which she believed in. Education and learning were important to her for she earned an Associate degree from Miami Dade Community . As the family historian, she had a collection of pictures of all members and could recall every detail about members and family occasions. A mass of christian burial will be celebrated at the Holy Family Catholic Church, 14500 NE 11 Avenue North Miami, FL R.C. Church at 11 am on , 21 at Entombment will follow in Southern Memorial Park Masoleum at 15100 West Dixie HWY, North Miami, FL. |
