Obituary: Rita Jean Nufer, 85, passed away Sept. 4, 2014. Survived by children, Jean Marie (Jim) Steward of McHenry, Ill., Ron (Betty) Nufer of Pueblo, Catherine Ann Nufer of Omaha, Neb. and Ken (Heidi) Nufer of Pueblo; ten grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by her spouse of 65 years, William Bill Nufer, Jr., her parents, Mae and Erwin Devitt, and brothers Ken and Don Devitt. Jean was born Dec. 20, 1928, in Chicago, Ill. Bill and Jean were married on Aug. 30, 1947, in Chicago. She dedicated her life to her family. Viewing, 6 to 7 p.m. followed by the Rosary on , Sept. 9, 2014 in the Montgomery & Steward Chapel. Obituary: Franklin (Frank) Daniel Nuebel, of Castle Rock, CO passed away evening 8th, 2015, after a long, courageous battle with cancer. He died peacefully at home with his wife of 24 years at his bedside. A memorial service will be held at 11:00am 8th, 2016 at Cherry Hills Community Church in Highlands Ranch, Colorado followed by a celebration of his well lived life. Olinger home in Castle Rock, CO are handling his final details. He chose to be cremated and his remains will be placed at the Memorial Garden at Cherry Hills. Franklin Daniel Nuebel was born in Le Mars, Iowa 12th, 1960 at Sacred Heart Hospital to Vincent S. Nuebel and Alvina C. Nuebel. He was the baby brother to eight siblings and, a much loved blessing to both his parents. Frank grew up on a beautiful farm near Le Mars, IA and is an Alumnus of Gehlen Catholic School in Le Mars. Frank married Rowena Hilton on 14th, 1991. In of 1993 they welcomed Andrew Kyle Nuebel into their world, he is their only child who Frank much loved. Frank had a successful career at MCI-GTE before starting his business in Real Estate. He truly had an eye and a passion for helping people connect and find their homes. Frank made many friends along the way who appreciated his skill, humor, dry wit, and laughter. Frank lived in Castle Rock, CO for over 25 years and really enjoyed the local county fair. The 4H and tractor pulls etc reminded him often of the good feelings he had growing up near the small town of Le Mars, IA. Frank was an accomplished artist, something of a family trait, following in his mother's footsteps. He enjoyed croquet in his early years, winning many trophies at the Denver Croquet Club. Frank was very generous and could often be found noticing homeless persons and others in need and giving them his signature two dollar bill. A tradition his brother Ron has an interest in carrying on. He loved his family, brothers and sisters along with his many friends. Survivors include his wife, Rowena, of Castle Rock, CO, his child (son) Andrew, of Lone Tree, CO, his brothers and sisters, Yvonne Reuter of Littleton, CO, Anita Beguin of Sun City, AZ, Daniel Nuebel of Santa Rosa, CA, Ronald Nuebel Northfield, MN and his twin brother Don Nuebel of Denver, CO, Kay Shimek of Apple Valley, MN, Bonnie Zelasney of Denver, CO, (and ) Connie Schnepf of Barrington, IL. Frank will be dearly missed by his many friends and family. It is our wish that his memory will live on through the fund established in his name below. Those that knew and loved him are encouraged to donate to the "Franklin Daniel Nuebel Memorial Fund" at Wells Fargo bank in lieu of Flowers.
