Obituary: Leafe Eric Bill Nicholas, 84, of Stuarts Draft passed away on , 29, 2014 at Envoy of Staunton. Born May 2, 1930 in Hurricane, WV; he was the son of the late Andrew Jackson and Ella Mae (Edwards) Nicholas. He was the last surviving member of his immediate family. Bill was a U.S. Army veteran having served his country honorably during the Korean War. He previously worked as a self-employed carpenter. He enjoyed building everything and traveling. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Nell Nicholas; son, Roger Nicholas; four brothers and three sisters. Survivors include his loving children Kathy Robertson and husband, Bucky of Stuarts Draft and Bobby Nicholas and wife, Crystal of North Carolina; step-daughters, Dreame Nycum and husband, Ike, Faye Acord and Donna Johnson and husband, Daily; grandchildren, Lori Branch and husband, Tracy, Allen Robertson and wife, Megan, Johnathan Nicholas and wife, Megan, Mindie Nicholas, Jacob Nicholas, Angel Nicholas and Abigail Nicholas; great-grandchildren, Ryleigh Robertson, Landon Robertson, Zoey Nicholas and Payton Nicholas; also surviving is the mother of his children, Phyllis Mays. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 A.M. on , 3, 2014 at the Stuarts Draft Chapel of Reynolds Hamrick s with Pastor Dennis Bradley officiating. Burial will follow in Stuarts Draft Christian Fellowship . Military honors will be provided graveside by the American Legion Post 340. The family will receive friends from 5:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. on , 2, 2014 at the funeral home and other times at the home of his daughter, Kathy, at 1163 Howardsville Turnpike, Stuarts Draft, VA. Obituary: We regret to announce the death of Delord Thanseh Nicholas who was born in Freetown, Sierra Leone. He went to be with The Lord on , 17th 2014. He is survived by his wife Fatu Nicholas, children Antoine, Etienne, Rita, Melick, Jennifer, Louise and adopted son Ahmed Shaban, his sister Linda Safiedeen, several grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. Closest family members and friends includes the Nicholass, Abouds, Lahoods, Akars, Thompson-Davies, Sayhouns, Badaways, Solomons, Anthonys, Georges, Saads, Cullens of Kingtom, Fawazs, Nassips, Halloways, Gbanis, Bamins, Shabans, Yacins, Zizers, Sharaffdeens, Sharara, Caulkers, Spencers, Thoronkas, Hashims and Joyce. Papa Delord as he was commonly known, graduated from St Edwards Secondary School in Freetown, Sierra Leone. He loved spending his time with his family, listening to country music, watching his favorite channel EWTN, telling funny jokes and quotes like Born stupid die stupid, ime will tell, do not trouble trouble until trouble troubles you. He is known to be an easy, peaceful man whose laugh will bring a smile to your face. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends here in the United States, Sierra Leone and abroad. The family will receive friends on , 1st from 10am to 12 noon at St. Theresas Catholic Church, 21371 St. Theresa Lane, Ashburn, VA, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 12 noon. Interment will immediately follow at Sterling , 45835 West Church Road, Sterling, VA 20167. Repast will be held at The Lakes Recreation , 44078 Cheltenham Circle, Ashburn, Va 20147 from 2pm- 6pm.
