Obituary: Francis Owen Nugent SR. Lt. Col. (Ret.) - Francis O. Nugent passed away peacefully surrounded by his loved ones on 7th, 2015. Francis was born in Ogdensburg NY on 15th, 1930 to Jessie and Hillarian Nugent. He is preceded in death by his parents, brother John, sisters Audrey, Betty , Leona and his son Michael Nugent. He is survived by his cherished bride of 61 years, Joan E. Nugent; sister Donna (Joe) Ashley; children Francis Jr. (Joanne), Sean (Jackie) and Joan E. (John) Chantrell, his adopted son Rustin Walker, grandchildren; Sean-Patrick, Elijah (Chrissy), Crystal (Julian), Ellen, Francis Owen III, Padrick (Roberta), Meghan, Bailey as well as two beautiful great- granddaughters; Adaelyn and Avalon. Franks distinguished army service lasted 25 years during which he participated in the Berlin airlift, Korea and Vietnam conflicts. When returning stateside he ran the jungle training center for young soldiers about to deploy. He was proud of his service and loved the men he served beside and mentored. In his civilian life he loved to play Big Band music on his clarinet, forming the band St. Francis and the Converts who entertained many people at Frank and Joans legendary parties. In his professional life he earned three BA degrees and was a Vice President of MBANK. Francis Owen Nugent was a man of family, country and faith. He was easy to laugh, easy to love and out to entertain. He always seemed to have a joke at hand and found great joy in later years mischief making with his grandchildren. He had a knack for making a good story great, and always knew where some slight exaggeration of facts was needed. He loved his family greatly and we consider ourselves lucky to call him husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. In his faith he will be reunited with his son Michael and family whom he deeply missed. The entire Nugent family sends our sincerest thanks to Bertha and Maria Alvarez for the loving care that they gave to our father while he was still at home. He loved you and we love you for that. We would also like to thank the staff at Las Palmas ICU for the gentle care they provided for him in his last hours. He will be remembered for his resolve, his stories, and the loving example he set as a father and husband. A Rosary Service will be held on , 10, 2015 at 2:00 PM at Harding-Orr & McDaniel . A Private Burial will be held at a later date by the family. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be sent to St. Judes childrens hospital. |

Obituary: Services for Donna Louise Lovelady Nugent, 75, of Lufkin, will be held at 2:00 p.m. , 10, 2015 in the Gipson Chapel, with Frank Thompson officiating. Interment will follow in the Old Union . Mrs. Nugent was born 10, 1940 in Angelina , Texas, the daughter of the late Thelma Elizabeth (Crawford) and Willie Lovelady. She passed away on , 5, 2015 in a local hospital. Mrs. Nugent had an extraordinary, loving blended family. spent summers, holidays, birthdays and special weekends together. Mrs. Nugent loved cooking for her large family and taking care of as many people as she could. She was a caregiver most of her life and was a home health nurse. She enjoyed camping, fishing, playing Bingo, nickel and dime slot machines, and spending time with her family. She treasured her grandchildren and had a caring heart. Mrs. Nugent was a lifelong member of Cross Road Baptist Church in Lufkin. Survivors include her daughters LaDonna Taylor and Teresa Chisolm, both of Lufkin; sons and daughters-in-law, Robert (Eddie) and Jamie Davidson of Wasilla, Alaska, George (Bo) and Stacy Nugent of Coushatta, Louisiana; daughters and sons-in-law, Paula and Jon Bazer of Haughton, Louisiana and Lisa and Phillip McKenzie of Bossier City, Louisiana; grandchildren, Jennifer Harvey, Christie Taylor, Angela Tambornino, Elizabeth Berry, Emily Chisolm, Kyle McKenzie and Cole McKenzie; nine great-grandchildren; sister and brother-in-law, Arbeline and Frank Thompson; sisters-in-law, Carolyn Wyant, Ethel Malone, Edna Lovelady, Kathryn Lovelady; brothers-in-law, Glen Sprowls and Tommy Harris; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives. Mrs. Nugent was preceded in death by her parents, Willie and Thelma Lovelady; husband, G. W. Nugent; two sisters; three brothers; and one great-grandson. Pallbearers will be Thomas Lowther, Pat Tomez, Allen Lovelady, Jon Bazer, Phillip McKenzie and John Berry. Honorary pallbearers will be Davion Hart and Matthew Bunn. Obituary: .Chester L. Nugent services for Chester L. Nugent, 86, of Longview, will be held at 10:00 a.m., , 30, 2015 at Lakeview , with Revs. Leon Veazey and Charles Hunt officiating. Mr. Nugent was born 23, 1929 in Olla, Louisiana, to John and Leora (Fairbanks) Nugent and passed into eternal life on 27, 2015 in Longview, Texas. Chester retired after 42 year of driving a truck. retirement, he enjoyed transporting cars for various car dealerships. Mr. Nugent loved to travel, so long as he could get there by car. He was a Mason and an Eastern Star. Chester was a veteran of the Korean War and served in the U.S. Army protecting the Pacific Coast. He served as a Deacon in the Baptist Church, and was very active in his church. Mr. Nugent loved to pick, tease, and make people laugh, but most of all he loved his family. He is preceded in death by his parents, his first wife Maxine Gamel Nugent, eight brothers, and one sister. He leaves behind to cherish his memory his loving wife of nine years, Beverly Wages Nugent, daughters, Karen Brooks; and LeAnne McClure-Oliver and husband, James Marcus Oliver; stepchildren, Dale Wages and wife Lisa; Karen Wages, and Rhonda Rancour, grandchildren, David McClure; SSGT.
