Obituary: ~ IN MEMORY OF ANDREW QUINN NEWTON ~ We grieve the passing of Andrew Quinn Newton, age 18, who died on , May 2, 2014 in his hometown, Austin, Texas. He is the beloved son of Gina Quinn-Newton and Lance Newton, the older brother to Ellie Newton, and the first grandchild of Ovie and Robert Quinn, and Mary and Andy Newton. Andrew was born on 21, 1995. He was a remarkable senior at Stephen F. Austin High School where he served one year as President in the theatre department. Along with his academic accolades, Andrew was regularly praised for his lead and supporting roles in several plays. He particularly liked playing comedic roles, such as Tom in Round and Round the Garden. Andrew was planning to attend St. Edwards University, with the ultimate goal of becoming a lawyer. Andrew was a happy teenager with many friends whom he loved. He enjoyed running on the hike and bike trail, reading books, watching Game of Thrones with his buddies, and spending time on his PlayStation. He was independent, exceptionally responsible and always trustworthy. He was on the straight and narrow path to becoming a good man. Everyone who knew Andrew admired him and was proud to call him a friend. Andrew deeply loved his family. He regularly hugged and told his mother that he loved her, a rare trait for a teenaged boy. Those were his last words to her, as he left for what everyone expected to be just another day at school. He deeply respected and loved his father, who modeled for him the importance of hard work and diligence. He loved his sister for her sense of humor, beauty and amazing dancing ability. He looked up to his Uncle Jim, who inspired him to be a lawyer someday. Andrew had a special relationship with his grandparents, Ovie and Bob Quinn. He would wake up early each school day to spend some time over a cup of coffee with his Granny and Papa. He never left their home without telling them both that he loved them, even if he had to walk to the back of the house to find his Papa through the stacks of books that fill his office. Andrew will be sadly missed. So many people have fond memories of times they shared with Andrew. Perhaps the most fitting is his sister Ellies story about recording Andrew when he was trying to learn a song for an audition. She couldn stop giggling through all of the takes as he worked to get the melody and words down. It was a moment that aptly captures Andrews desire to continually improve and be the best he could be, combined with the love and laughter of his family. The song was One Song Glory: Find glory in a song that rings truth Truth like a blazing fire, an eternal flame Find, one song, a song about love Glory, from the soul of a young man Andrew was loved and will be missed by his aunts and uncles, Teresa and Jim Davis, Cathy and Stacy Newton, and Andre and Benson Goebel. He was a friend and role model for his cousins, Maddie Davis, Jack Davis, Ryan Newton, Brandon Newton, Karis Goebel and Kinley Goebel. To all his family and friends, Andrew will be loyal forever. Obituary: Albert Harvey Newton III, 78, beloved husband, father, and grandfather, of Spring, Texas, went to meet the Lord on 30, 2015. He was born in Kingfisher, Oklahoma on 13, 1936 and for the next few decades left his mark across the country, including service in the Armed Forces in Alaska from 1954 to 1957. Al graduated from L.C.C.H.S. in Kansas and received a bachelors and masters degree in Geology from Northeast Louisiana State University (ULM). He married Karen Donaldson on 9, 1967 and began their 48 year journey together. Al had a career in the oil industry for 20 years, becoming president of Prudential Oil and Gas. With retirement, he launched a new business venture and developed a successful family business that at one point became the place of employment for all of his children. Al was also elected to the Southern Montgomery MUD board and served on the GRP committee of the San Jacinto River Authority for many years. He was a long time member of Spring First Church in Spring, Texas and had a passion for Men's fellowship, and leading bible studies, always the voice of wisdom and reason. He also traveled to Mexico with The Mission Team and his selfless service impacted many communities by helping to build churches and provide meals. An avid cook and skilled hunter, Al's venison dishes and famous brisket were enjoyed by his friends and family. He is survived by his loving wife, Karen Newton; children, Theron Harvey Newton and wife, Michelle, Melanie Jenkins and husband Jim, Deborah Newton-Wills and husband Dr. David Wills; grandchildren David A. Edge, Jacob H. Newton, Nicola J. Newton, Z. Riley Newton, Gavin D. Wills, and Jessica L. Jenkins; great- grandchildren Liliana Jenkins, Brennan Beaty Edge, and Richard Jenkins; siblings Jane Newton Dill and husband Tolly of Henderson, Texas, Dean Newton Barber of Powder Springs, Georgia, Marie Newton Middleton of Atlanta, Georgia, and Jerry Newton and wife Joanne of Ft. Payne, Alabama; mother Ollie Gaubert Newton of Atlanta, Georgia. Albert is preceded in death by his father, Albert Harvey Newton, Jr., and granddaughter Meagan C. Edge. Obituary: Charles Robert Newth, at the age of 97, died peacefully in Boerne, Texas, on 12, 2017. He was born on 1, 1920, in Dublin, Texas, to Vinnie Ella and Harry Newth. Charles Robert Newth, was a true gentleman, who would set aside his own concerns to support the needs of others, particularly in his family. Fatherhood to him was to love, that to give and then even give more, defining the true meaning of a wonderful human being. Therefore, he defined the art of being a selfless and a loving person who truly was a man of many riches by simply being a father and loving individual to all who knew him. He is survived by many family members who knew him as this true kind gentleman; his son Richard Charles Newth, living in Mansfield, Texas, his daughter Linda Kay Stotts, living in Boerne, Texas, and his loving son-in-law, that he genuinely felt was the gift of a second son, Kenna Lee Stotts, husband of Linda Kay Stotts.
