Family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m. , 26, at Adams in Marlin. Raymond was born 18, 1925 to Robert Emil and Clara (Drews) Neumann in Otto, Texas. He served in the Army during World War II from 16, 1944 to 17, 1946. Raymond was Private First Class A 1st Staging Area Battalion. He fought in the battle of the Bulge and received EAME Campaign Ribbon with 1 Bronze Star Good Conduct Medal. Bronze Star Medal GO 16 Headquarter 3rd Armed Division Feb. 1, 1945 Victory Ribbon and 2 Overseas Service Bars. Raymond was a resident of Caldwell and former resident of Marlin. He married the love of his life, Helen Jean (Kroll) on 11, 1952, and was married 50 wonderful years of marriage. She preceded him in death on 4, 2003. He later married, Dareatha (Cohn) on 24, 2006. He retired as a rancher. Raymond was preceded in death by, parents; daughter, Debbie Mulsow; brothers, Falten, Harry, Theo, Edgar Neumann and L. D. Neumann; sisters, Freida Kunkel and Erna Feldman; step-daughter, Debbie Hagan. Obituary: Margaret Lois Neumann, Child of God, passed away on , May 22, 2014 at the age of 91 years. She was born to Fritz and Maglyn Sharpley Semlinger on 11, 1922 in Bexar , Texas. She attended the University of San Antonio for one year and there she met her future husband. She married Frederick Neumann in St. Johns Lutheran Church in San Antonio, Texas on 28, 1942 where they remained lifelong members. She graduated from South San Antonio High School in 1941. She spent the first twenty or so years on the family farm of her husbands family. These were stressful times; many years without water and some without electricity, but never without a good supply of rattlers. For a city girl this was quite difficult; but she managed to rear a great family and take good care of her husband. the family members started to take off on their own, she finally had the time and means to pursue some of her own interests. She became an excellent egger, the decoration of real eggs with jewels, etc. She also was quite adept at stained glass work, decoupage, oil painting and quilting. She enjoyed being involved with her childrens, grand and great grandchildrens achievements. She enjoyed going to visit the slots occasionally in Las Vegas, Reno or Coushatta. But her biggest consistent winner was to attend her Bunco Parties or Quilt meetings. She is preceded in death by her husband, Frederick H. Neumann. She is survived by her sons: James of Victoria, TX; Charles; Mark and wife, Debbie of San Antonio and Dr. John Clint and wife, Erin of San Angelo, TX; daughter, Carolyn Dejavanne of San Antonio. In addition to the Grands and Greats a number of nieces and nephews and friends. Visitation will be held on , May 25th from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm at Porter Loring on McCullough. Obituary: Katherine Grace Neumann, 23, of Austin, passed away on , 3, 2013, after a brief and brave battle with cancer. She was born in Austin, Texas, on May 19, 1989 to Fred and Caryn Neumann. She was baptized and confirmed at St. Paul Lutheran Church. She was educated at St. Paul Lutheran School, Clint Small Middle School, and Bowie High School in Austin. She attended Texas Tech University in Lubbock. She graduated in May 2012 with a Bachelors of Science degree, Multidisciplinary Studies, Middle Level Education. Katherine was preceded in death by her mother, Caryn Zoch Neumann and grandfather, Royce Zoch. She is survived by Austin Miller; father, Fred Neumann; grandparents, Fred Neumann Sr., Lavon Neumann, Clara Zoch; many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. The family wishes to thank the many people who cared for and supported Katherine during these difficult months. We especially thank the Hospice Austin nurses and staff, and Christopher House nurses and staff. A Memorial Service will be held at 1:00 P.M. on , 7, 2013 at St. Paul Lutheran Church, 3501 Red River Street, Austin, Texas, officiated by The Rev. Dr. Mark S. Nuckols. Obituary: Frederick Herman Neumann passed away on 20, 2008 at the age of 86 years. He was born to Herman and Hulda Reeh Neumann on 13, 1922 in Bexar , Texas. On 28, 1942 he was married to Margaret Semlinger in St. Johns Lutheran Church in San Antonio; where they remained lifelong members. The Lord blessed this union with four boys and one girl. were also blessed with 12 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. He graduated from Somerset High School in 1940 and attended The University of San Antonio and St. Marys University for two years. During World War II he was trained and received his Wings as a pilot in the US Army Air Corps. He was employed for forty plus years by the USDA-ASCS and retired in 1984 as Executive Director of The Bexar ASCS Office. During this time he also operated the family farm in SW Bexar . This farm is part of the original Neumann Farm settled by his grandparents in 1878. his retirement he continued his interest in agriculture by serving as a member of The Alamo SWCD #330. Fred was most proud of his wife and her many artistic accomplishments and his children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. The achievements of the family members gave him great delight and he loved to go to graduations and weddings. Fishing at the Coast, traveling, and talking on the phone with friends were some of his interests. He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Margaret, and sons; James of McAllen, Texas; Charles and wife Sharon of San Antonio; Mark and wife Debbie of San Antonio; Dr. John Clint and wife Erin of Ft Worth, Texas; and by a daughter Carolyn Dejavanne also of San Antonio. Obituary: Fern Brown Neumann, 99 years old, passed away on 21, 2015. . She was a loving wife and mother and is preceded in death by her husband, Charles E. Neumann and her daughter Ann Neumann Randazzo. She is survived by her three daughters, Brenda Eaton of Port Neches, Mary Burgert of Houston, and Margaret Farr of Virginia, her sister, Mrs. Catherine Smith, eight grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren. Her family was a source of great joy and pride, and her Catholic religion was a source of strength. Fern was born in Beaumont, Texas in 1916. She graduated from St. Anthony High School in 1934 as Salutatorian of her class and a recipient of the American Legion Award. high school she attended Washington University in St. Louis where she obtained certification to teach piano. She later worked as a secretary at the Shipyard in Beaumont and met Charles Neumann, her husband-to-be. married in 1942 and were married for sixty-two years. Mrs. Neumann loved playing bridge, belonging to the same bridge group for over thirty years. She was active in local service organizations including the Altar Society of St. Catherines, the Symphony Club where she served as president, and The Department Past Presidents Club. She was very involved in the PTA at St. James School, St. Catherine of Sienna School, and Bishop Byrne High School and was always an advocate for her children. She served on the building committees of St. Catherine School and for Bishop Byrne High School. Prior to the plans for new buildings, she was compelled to call the Bishop of the Diocese herself to strongly express her belief that the Catholic children of Port Arthur deserved better facilities. Fern and her husband Charles had a great love of traveling. were proud to have visited every state in the U. S. also traveled to Europe several times, to the Far East, and to Australia. Those were some of their fondest memories. Fern Neumann will be missed and lovingly remembered by her family and friends. A gathering of family and friends will be held , 24, 2015 from 12:00 p.m. until 1:00 p.m., with a Mass of Christian Burial to begin at 1:00 p.m., at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Port Arthur. Rite of Committal will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park in Groves. In lieu of flowers, Memorial Contributions can be made to the Charles E. Neumann Scholarship Fund at Lamar Port Arthur or the Alzheimers Association would be appreciated. |
