Obituary: Sandra Lee Nona, 72, of Harrah, Oklahoma passed away 24, 2015. She was born 21, 1942 in Anderson, Indiana. Sandra graduated from New Buffalo High School in Michigan in 1960 and on 14, 1964 she married William P. Nona and the two raised their 2 children together. Sandra became one of the first women to drive a truck in Wisconsin. She was a teamster as well as members of the United Auto Workers Union and Steel Workers Union. She worked for GM at the Trent, Michigan plant before transferring to the Oklahoma City plant where she retired after 28 12 years of service. As a loyal GM employee, she hated foreign cars and proclaimed them banned from her driveway. her retirement Sandra worked odd jobs to stay busy. She enjoyed traveling and took vacations in Vegas and the Grand Canyon, but the Colorado Mountains were favorite destination. Sandra also enjoyed reading crime and mystery novels as well as historical books, and Laura Ingalls was one of her favorite authors. She passed many evenings watching Game of Thrones with her daughter, Kimberly. Sandra loved her cats and especially her horse, Girlie, and could often be found riding, grooming and tending to her. Above all, Sandra loved her children and grandchildren and cherished every moment spent with them. She is survived by her daughter, Kimberly Nona; grandchildren, Ashley Fann, Elizabeth McDonald and Ariel Nona; 5 great grandchildren; and a host of loving friends and family members. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, William Peter Nona; son, Peter Raymond Nona; and her infant daughter, Kathy Lynn Nona. Obituary: Jody Noll was born 22, 1931 to William C. Noll and Mildred M. (Shaffer) Noll and was the older sister to Don C. Noll. She passed from this life on 26, 2017. She married Richard T. Schraeder in 1953 and had two children, Scott T. Schraeder and Terry L. Schraeder, and two grandchildren. Jody excelled throughout her life from school to sports to theatre and a professional broadcast career. At Webster High School, she was a member of the National Honor Society, played the lead role of Emily in Our Town by Thornton Wilder, and graduated as valedictorian in 1949. At the University of Oklahoma, Jody studied English, Drama and Theatre and played in "Jenny Kissed Me" where she was the first freshman to play a lead role. Jody was nominated to Mortar Board in her sophomore year and was on her way to Magna Cum Laude. Jody was an exceptional athlete and participated in field hockey, soccer, horse riding, skeet shooting, tennis, swimming and golf. In 1951, at age 20, Ms. Noll was hired by E.K. Gaylord at WKY. As a production assistant, she arrived for her first day of work dressed in professional attire but was told to go home and put on a pair of dungarees as she would be sweeping floors and coiling large camera cables. recognizing her athletic background, and on-camera talents, her bosses quickly hired her to host a daily 30-minute TV exercise program and ultimately a cooking show and an afternoon women's program. In the early 1950s, Jody moved to Denver where she wrote, produced, and appeared in television commercials. She ultimately worked in television and radio in Denver and Phoenix and her broadcast career spanned two decades. She interviewed many famous stars including Walt Disney, John Wayne, Helen Hayes, Sylvia Sydney, Charlton Heston, Carol Channing, Lily Tomlin, Stanley Kramer, Jack LaLane, Red Buttons, Jack Benny, Robert Taylor Antoinette Perry, Julia Child, Paul Harvey, Hugh Downs, Omar Shariff, Mario Puzo, William Peter Blatty and Gay Talese. In 1985, Jody returned to Oklahoma and became a successful realtor. She continued her work in theatre and directed Barefoot in the Park by Neil Simon at The Dinner Playhouse Theatre. Throughout her life, Jodys adventurous spirit led her to enjoy fishing, hunting, barrel racing, camping and skiing. She got her pilot's license in 1970 and flew a single-engine plane. She won many tennis and golf tournaments and had 4 holes-in-one (3 at Oak Tree Country Club). Her winsome sprit matched her wit, intelligence, theatrical talents and great athleticism. Jody loved good writing and good food as much as a good joke and a good book. But she especially loved her good friends and family. She lit up the room with her fun-loving spirit, her fashionable style and her personality. Jody was a positive force of energy, enthusiasm, humor and life. Her family and friends including life-long devoted friend Ann Williams, will miss her greatly but are comforted knowing Jody is at peace and with God. She is certainly enjoying a great round of golf somewhere in heaven today. Memorial service will be , 3, 2017 at 11:00 am at New Covenant United Methodist Church in Edmond. Obituary: Virginia Nell Pasley Nolen, age 95, of Slippery Rock and formerly of Del City, Oklahoma, passed away at Grove City Medical on 7, 2017. She was born on 21, 1921 in Rhea, Arkansas, Washington , to Albert Vane Pasley and Rella Mae Henderson Pasley. She married Thomas Edward Nolen on 3, 1948. He preceded her in death on 27, 2007. She retired from the Mid-Del School System, where she worked as a middle school librarian at Jarman Junior High School, Midwest City, Oklahoma. In her honor, the school named the library after her. Survivors include three daughters: Nola Nolen of Slippery Rock, Pennsylvania; Nancy Kirschbaum of Charlotte, North Carolina; Nikki Nolen of Los Angeles, California; four grandchildren, Cara Wyatt, Angeliki Koutsouflakis, Grace Campoll, and Hope Koutsouflakis; and two great-grandsons, Tison Wyatt and Nolan Campoll. She was preceded in death by her husband, daughter Katherine Elizabeth, and grandson Shawn Kirshbaum. Ginny was born and raised on her parents 250-acre farm in northwestern Arkansas and graduated from Prairie Grove High School. While attending the University of Arkansas, she obtained her pilots license aspiring to emulate Ameilia Earhart. During WWII, she completed her undergraduate degree at Tulsa University and worked the night shift at the Tulsa, Oklahoma Douglas Aircraft Plant. A Braniff Airlines secretarial position took her to Oklahoma City, where she met husband Tom at a church dance. Together, they traveled the Caribbean and South America. With her husband, she raised independent, artistic daughters. She designed and constructed their wardrobes in their early years, having studied clothing design at UA. While working as a substitute teacher, the Monroney Junior High School principal asked her to serve as the librarian. She entered graduate school studying library science at the University of Oklahoma. Later in life, she was an avid reader who also loved music, particularly the band Brace Combo. Her family was central to her activities. Through her innate curiosity and love of learning, she maintained her mental acumen throughout her life, and a people frequently commented on her youthful appearance, even at age 95. On , 15th, from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., family will receive friends at the Bill Eisenhour , 5005 S.E. 29th Street in Del City, Oklahoma, 73115.
