Obituary: Bob Nation of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, was born on 3, 1932, in Elmore City, Oklahoma, to Strider Copeland Nation and Eva Mae Nation. Bob was the youngest of ten (10) children. On 28, 2016, Bob Nation passed away after a hard fought battle with cancer. Bob was preceded in death by his father, Strider Copeland, his mother, Eva, his brothers, Leo, Tom, and SC, and his sisters, Billie, Ines, and Irene. Bob is survived by his wife, Geraldine, his son, Mark, his daughters, Sherri and Tammy, his granddaughters, Rylie, Lexi, and Sunie, and his son-in-law, John. Bob is also survived by his sisters, Esther, Retha, and Winnie, as well as many nephews and nieces. In 1950, Bob Nation graduated from Elmore City High School. Shortly thereafter, he was drafted into the United States Army where he served honorably. Bob also attended the University of Oklahoma. In of 1956, Bob Nation accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior during a weekend revival at First Baptist Church of Nicoma Park, Oklahoma. In accordance with Acts 2:41, Acts 8:36-38, Acts 16:30-33, and Acts 19:5, Bob Nation was baptized so that he could acknowledge his faith and trust in Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior to others. On 20, 1957, Bob Nation was joined in holy matrimony to Geraldine Sanders for nearly 60 years until his passing. In 1957, Bob and Geraldine became members of First Southern Baptist Church of Del City, Oklahoma, and faithfully served there for many years. Bob also taught School for 10 years. Bob was a devoted and caring husband, father & grandfather, who faithfully provided for his family and served others. Bob was the founder and president of Nation Wholesale Fence Co. For more than 50 years, he worked diligently to make his business extraordinarily successful. His work ethic was second-to-none. Also, Bob graciously mentored others in this business by freely sharing his knowledge and wisdom with his colleagues and customers. Additionally, in the 1970s, Bob donated and served as the VP of the Del City Sports Association. Lyrics in the song Unsung Hero perfectly describe Bobs life: You sit in silence of the shadows. You don complain or criticize. No questions asked, you were always there when we needed you. With a love that inspires us to be everything you deserve, you are our unsung hero. While others long to steal the spotlight, you work your magic quietly. You were not in it for the glory, but the love you gave came naturally. Obituary: Robert "Bob" Nathan, 81, of Shawnee, passed peacefully at his home on 21, 2014. He was born 19, 1932, in Arlington, MA, to George W. and Mary Nathan. Bob proudly served 29 years in the U.S. Air Force and was a veteran of the Korean and Vietnam Wars where he received many medals and citations for bravery. He was also an Airspace Manager for 14 years in federal civil service for the USAF following his military retirement and traveled all over the world. He was a lifetime member of the Shawnee VFW. Bob was preceded in death by his parents and one great-granddaughter. Survivors include his wife, Joan Nathan; six daughters, Donna (Rick) Folsom of Piedmont; Lori (Ted) Brubaker of Arcadia; Teri (Tom) Gargan of Fuquay-Varina, NC; Kelly (Bill) Fisher of Enid; Pamela (Farid) Ghavidel of Edmond; Sonya Olson of Oceanside, CA; brother, George (Mary) Nathan of Sarasota, FL; sister, Barbara (Ralph) Copeland of Plymouth, MA; 11 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. Bob loved life and his Irish roots, family and friends and will be truly missed. His Irish eyes will always smile down and watch over us. At Bob's request, private graveside services will be held for family only with the Shawnee VFW Honor Guard and bagpiper playing "Danny Boy" and "Amazing Grace." Interment will be at the Tecumseh at a later date under the direction of Resthaven , Shawnee. |

Obituary: Annie Nashert moved to Oklahoma City 36 years ago. She went to be with Jesus on , the 28th of after 14 months battling complications from a stroke. Annie enjoyed cooking, entertaining and spending time with her husband of 30 years, Joe. Annie also treasured every moment with her daughter, Jordan Amanda. Annies passion for baking allowed her to bless others. Lastly, her dog Lexi will miss her tremendously. In addition to her husband and daughter, she is also survived by her mother, Helen Lehman; brother, John Lehman and many extended members of the family who will miss her dearly.
