Obituary: Rose Cusimano Baur Noto passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on , 22, 2015 at the age of 99. She was the wife of the late Sgt. Harold W. Baur by first marriage and the late Anthony Noto by second marriage. She was the daughter of the late Rosario Cusimano and the late Catherine Amato Cusimano Mulé and step-daughter of the late Gabriel Mulé. She was the Mother of Harold W. Baur, II (Diane), Grandmother of Harold W. Baur, III (Sarah), Paul M. Baur (Ashley), Mark J. Baur (Jennifer), and Erin B. Donnelly (Brandon), and Great-grandmother of Caroline, Addison, Brady, Mckenzie, Bryce, Madelyn, Christian, Matthew, Philip, Brandon, Jr., and Mary. She is survived by sisters Sr. Claire Mulé, D.C., and Margaret Ann Mulé, and a brother Judge Salvadore T. Mulé (Margaret Mary) and sister-in-law Mary H. Mulé. She was preceded in death by sisters Mary C. Mulé, Sr. Gabriel Mulé, D.C.; step-sisters Corinne M. Banfield, Sarah Mulé; step-brothers John, Anthony, and Sam Mulé. She is also survived by nephews Thomas, Michael, and Millard Mulé and several other nieces, nephews and cousins. She was a founding parishioner of Resurrection of Our Lord Catholic Church and an active member of Resurrection’s Altar Society, Life and Lively, and Catholic Daughters of America. Since Hurricane Katrina, she has been a parishioner of St. Matthew the Apostle Catholic Church and a member of the Missionaries of St. Theresa. She devoted her life to family and friends with her kind, jovial, optimistic, and loving nature. Her love of family was obvious in the way she loved to bake and cook especially at Thanksgiving and Christmas. If not in the kitchen, she was in the garden tending to her flowers. She loved playing Bingo and watching Saints and LSU football. The family would like to especially thank Bridget, Corey, and Ruth for their loving friendship. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Mass at LAKE LAWN METAIRIE FUNERAL HOME, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd. in New Orleans, on , 28, 2015 at 12:00 noon. Loving father of Nicole Noto Laiche (Chris) and Lauren Noto Pays (Scott). Son of the late Joseph J. and Ann Noto. Twin brother of Joseph J. Noto, Jr. (Suzanne) and Beverly Noto Fife (Dowen). Loving and devoted Poppy to Alex Christopher Laiche, Mallory Grace Pays, Patrick Nicholas Laiche, and Brennan Dell Pays. Mr. Noto served his country in the US Army National Guard during the Vietnam Conflict. Throughout his 46 years career, Mr. Noto served and worked for multiple shipping companies in the New Orleans area. retirement from the shipping industry, in addition to loving his family, he happily filled his days with work as a courier for the M.R. Pittman Group. John was an amazing husband, father, father-in-law, and grandfather who was deeply loved and will be dearly missed. Eleanor was the daughter of the late Elijah and Ollie Morgan of Albany; wife of 57 years of the late Carlo Noto; the mother of Laura Noto Harper (the late Gerald), Ollie Noto Hammack (the late Roy); grandmother of Darren Harper (Jessica), Stephanie Harper, Colleen H. Woodman (Howard), Christopher Harper, Shawn McNair & Shannon McNair; great-grandmother of Jeanne, William & Jaime Harper & Emily Woodman. Eleanor is also preceded in death by all of her siblings; Willard Morgan, Enos Morgan, Claude Morgan and Lois Adams; her sister-in-laws, Catherine & Beatrice Morgan and her brother-in-law, Terrill Adams. Obituary: Nella Dolci Nothaft of Desenzano, Italy, aged 84, passed away peacefully on , 12, 2016. She is preceded in death by her parents Santo and Maximilla Breciani Dolci, and her husband, Alfred R. Nothaft. She met and fell in love with her husband Fred in Switzerland. There they married and immigrated to the United States becoming citizens in of 1962. She was a skilled seamstress; however; she and Fred are best remembered as the operators of the first Chick-fil-A in the state of Louisiana located in the Plaza Shopping Mall in New Orleans East. She is survived by her three children, Silvia (Jules) Bolden, Linda (Robert) Brousse, and Alfred E. (Kelly) Nothaft. She had 6 grandchildren, Matthew Bolden, Melissa (Jared) Morris, Brandon and Rachael Brousse, and Kaitlyn and Mason Nothaft. It was her great loss to miss meeting her two great grandsons. The family would like to thank the staff of Brookdale Memory and Notre Dame Hospice for making her final days filled with faith, dignity, and grace. Obituary: Lavern Nossaman With love and sadness we announce that Lavern (Vern) Nossaman, our loving Husband, Father, Grandfather and Great-Grandfather, has retired from his earthly home to his heavenly home on 2, 2016. He is now basking in the glory of seeing his heavenly Father and reuniting with his son Atty. Jack Nossaman, who preceded him, and hearing his contagious laughter and smile that could light up a room. What a reunion they are having! are shaking the walls of heaven! Born on a wheat farm in Kansas eighty eight years ago to William & Pearl Nossaman, who spoiled him unthinkably, being the youngest of five brothers and a sister. Vern leaves the love of his life, Audrey Finch Nossaman, son Dr. Bob Nossaman and wife Shirley, daughter Vicki Toms and husband Buster Toms. He is the proud Papaw of eight grandchildren. Tracey Toms Van Hoy, Jaclynn Ash, Kurt Nossaman, Blake Lilley, Reade Nossaman, Vaughn Nossaman, Jennifer Nossaman, and Lauren Nossaman. Six Great-Grandchildren had the privilege of calling him Papaw; Brock, Witten & Emerson Van Hoy, Tayvee, Cru & Ozzy Ash. Vern loved serving our country in the USAAF for 20 years. He retired from At&t/Lucent Technologies where he had many friends he loved. Dad, we thank you for your dedicated service in protecting our country. Mostly, Vern delighted in serving our Almighty God & Savior Jesus Christ alongside his church, Summer Grove Baptist. Thank you to New Beginnings School Class for your prayers, cards, love and many acts of kindness during the difficult times. Our family would like to thank Regional Hospice; especially Felicia who became a part of our family by caring for Vern daily. Services celebrating Verns life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on , 6 at Centuries Memorial with visitation at 1:00p.m. Military graveside services will follow.
