Obituary: Marcella Nigro, 89, The service of remembrance and celebration for Marcella Nigro will be , 22, 2014 at 11 AM at Our Lady of Grace Church, Beverly Hills. Marcella died 5, 2014 at home under the loving care of her family and Hospice of Citrus . Marcella was born 19, 1924 in Brooklyn, New York to the late Joseph and Marcella DeFiore. She was a real people person, a very colorful character, a wonderful homemaker, cook and entertainer who was devoted to her family and the Lord. She enjoyed shopping, music, dancing and spending quality time with her daughter Patricia Gerogiannis, who was her caregiver for the past 2 years; her grandchildren namely: Nicholas, Alfred & Tamara, Michael, Peter, Lois and her great grandson, Urias as well as nieces and nephews, and a good friend Tanina Ancona. Marcella was employed at the New York City Board of Education for 21 years where she enjoyed going to work every day. Shortly after retiring, she moved to the sunshine state 25 years ago where she made many wonderful friends who were with her till the end. She was a delightful hostess and cashier at the family owned Patnicks Restaurant in Hernando for 7 years. Always caring and conscientious, a great asset to any business and a pleasure to have around. She will be greatly missed by everyone who knew her even it if was just a brief chat at the supermarket. Marcella was put to eternal rest at Fero Memorial Gardens on 11, 2014.
