Obituary: Donald Newby, age 86, of Tampa, Florida and a former Cicero resident, died 6, 2017 at Brookdale Senior Living at Tampa. He was born 27, 1931 at Anderson, IN to Bernie Malcolm and Anita Alice (Davis) Newby. He attended Jackson Township Schools and graduated from Jackson Central High School with the Class of 1949. He worked in management positions in data processing services and sales of computers (main frame). He had worked with various large corporations including Delco Remy at Anderson, IN, Ford Motor at Indianapolis and MI, Zerox at Orlando FL, Mohawk Data Systems, Dearborn, MI, System One at San Francisco, CA, Eastern Airlines at Ft. Lauderdale, FL, and Disney World at Orlando,FL. He was first married to Lola Evelyn (Cline) Newby who preceded him in death. In addition to his parents and first wife he was also preceded in death by a daughter: Lisa Lynn McLean, brothers: Jack, Eugene and Harold Newby and a sister-in-law: Othel Newby. Surviving his is his wife: Carolyn (Kastor) Newby also of Tampa, FL, sons: Ronald K. Newby of Medway, MA and Gerry Lee Newby of Davenport, FL, a daughter: Patrice Diane Vincent of Toledo, OH and a sister-in-law: Carolyn Newby of Melbourne, FL, nine grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. Obituary: Claire P. Peter Newbury was born on 25, 1930 in Wapping, CT to her parents Theodore Albert and Rose ine (Steubenraugh) Petersen. She passed away on 20, 2014 in Cape Coral, FL. She is survived by her loving husband of 64 years, Carlton E. Jim Newbury; children James (Judith), Craig, Randall (Debra) and Diane (Budd); grandchildren Nicholas, Alexandra, Scott, Christopher, Zachary, Matthew, Jessalin, Randy, Alicia, and Brandon; 9 great grandchildren; sisters Eva Lisi and Rose Collins, and her brother Carle Petersen. Claire is preceded in death by her parents. Claire was a graduate of Ellsworth High School in South Windsor, CT class of 1948. She began her career with Cigna and continued until her retirement. She married Carlton Jim Newbury in 1950. Claire was a loving and dedicated wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and mother in law. Her passions in life were her children and grandchildren. She loved to swim at the beach and go shopping. She was a lifelong member of Wapping Community Church and attended Faith Presbyterian during her stay in FL. She was also an Honorary Member of the CT Grange. A visitation will be held oday ( ), 23, 2014 from 5 pm - 6 pm at the Fuller Metz . A celebration of her life will begin a 6 pm. Obituary: Robert Bob Earl Newburn 1951-2010 Robert Bob Earl Newburn, 58, died on , 26, 2010 at his home in Pensacola, FL. His Family was by his side as he passed into eternity to be with his Lord, following a courageous battle with cancer. Mr. Newburn was born 5, 1951 in Ada, OK to Kenneth Earl and Beverly Cloe Newburn of Stratford, TX. He graduated from Stratford High School in 1971 in Stratford, TX. Later he joined the US Navy and served for 20 years. Bob served in the Vietnam War, while stationed on the USS Mobile as a ship serviceman and in the Gulf War. Bob retired from the Navy on 30, 1991, he showed his great ability of salesmanship and connecting with others while working for Key Ford and World Ford in Pensacola. Bob definitely was a people person. Bob was an active member of Myrtle Grove Baptist Church in Pensacola. He was a great family man. He and his wife adopted six children. Bob enjoyed fishing, traveling and church. Bob is survived by his mother, Beverly C. Newburn; sisters, Beverly G. Harding and Kimberly L. Minor; brother, Eugene Newburn; his wife of 33 years, Donna Gail Rogers Newburn; daughters, Gail Dunn and Sierra Dawn Newburn; foster daughter, Ava Leighann Leggett; sons, Reymundos V. Granados, Daniel Earl Newburn, Damin Lee Newburn and Ezra Fell Newburn; daughter-in-law, Becky Garcia Granados; granddaughters Christy Granados and Christina Cloe Ann; and many nieces, nephews and close friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Kenneth Earl Newburn. The Newburns will receive friends and family for visitation from 6-8pm , 30th at Oak Lawn . Services will take place at 10:00am , 31st at Oak Lawn with interment to follow at Barrancas National with full Military honors. Obituary: Father Charles W. Newburn, Sch.P., of Fort Lauderdale, FL, peacefully entered his eternal rest on , 4, 2016. Father Charles was born on 23, 1943 in Daytona Beach, FL. As the third child in the family of four, he had two older sisters and one younger brother. graduating from Mainland High School in 1961, he enlisted in the United States Navy. He served on active duty (1962-66) and later on inactive duty (1966-68). He entered the novitiate of the Piarist Fathers in Derby, NY on 15, 1969 and made his first profession of vows on 16, 1970. He studied at the Catholic University of America in Washington and the University of Central Florida. He earned a bachelors degree in Spanish in 1973. In 1974, he was assigned to the Piarist community of Devon in suburban Philadelphia. He studied philosophy and theology at Villanova University. During this time, he also taught mathematics and geography in Devon Prep. From 1977 until 1978, he was assigned to the community in Fort Lauderdale, during which time he continued his studies at St. Vincent de Paul Regional Seminary in Boynton Beach, FL. He made his solemn profession on 23, 1977. In 1978 he returned to Devon to complete his studies in theology at Villanova University and to teach mathematics and theology. He was ordained a priest on 22, 1979. On the weekends he assisted at Our Lady of the Assumption Church in Strafford, PA. In 1982 he was again assigned to our community in Fort Lauderdale. During the next 34 years, he taught mathematics and theology at Cardinal Gibbons High School. Over the years, he served the Piarist Fathers in many capacities: Local Superior in Fort Lauderdale, Master of Novices, Provincial Assistant and Provincial Secretary. On the weekends he assisted at St. Gabriel Parish in Pompano Beach, FL and Our Lady of Mercy Parish in Deerfield Beach, FL. His Mass will be celebrated at St. John the Baptist Church in Fort Lauderdale on , 9th at 11 am. A viewing will be held in the church from 10-11am on the same day. Memorial Masses will be celebrated at St. Gabriel Church in Pompano Beach on , 11 at 4 pm and Cardinal Gibbons High School on , 13 at 10:30 am. Interment will privately take place at Our Lady Queen of Heaven in Fort Lauderdale.
