Obituary: Ryan Scott Meyer was born in Rochester, Michigan 1, 1974. He arrived in the midst of a snowstorm which dropped 19" of snow. The snow prevented the doctor from getting to the hospital, but it didn't stop Ryan from coming into the world. As a child, Ryan loved swimming, skiing, riding bikes and horses, and making friends. He graduated from Columbine High School with honors in 1993. He received a scholarship to Metro State with hopes of receiving a degree in finance. In 1994, Ryan's genetic disease created the need for a tracheotomy which Ryan would rely on for the rest of his life. From that point on, he was no longer able to participate in many of his favorite ventures and became an enthusiastic spectator. He continued to learn about everything he could from sports and entertainment to politics and business and everything in between. His disposition in life never diminished his spirit and he continued to shine a light on everyone he met. On May 18th, 2015, Ryan passed on to a better place after defying the odds for more than 40 years. He is preceded in death by his sister Kira Lynn, nephew Kaanan and grandfathers Marvin Meyer and Clark Trenhaile. He is survived by his parents Randy and Carolynn, his brother Jason (Regina), sister Kaitlyn (Jacob) Eustice, Kameron and Sofia Meyer, his nephew and niece, and his grandmothers Cathern Meyer and Helen Trenhaile. Friends and family may participate in Ryans funeral service on , May 23, 2015 at 10:00am at Olinger Chapel Hill Mortuary, 6601 South Colorado Blvd in Centennial, Colorado. There will be a visitation from 9:00-10:00am. You know what you should do. Obituary: Rita Agnes Meyer passed away peacefully on , 6, 2017, at the Gunnison Valley Senior in Gunnison, CO. Rita was born on 25, 1928 in Ashton, NE to Stanley and Veronica 'Vernie' (Kwiatkowski) Smedra, and was baptized at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Rockville, NE. She grew up on farms in and around Ashton, Rockville, and Loup City, NE, and graduated from High School in Ashton, NE. On New Years Eve, 1947 in Grand Island, NE, on a blind date she met Don Meyer, the man who was the love of her life. were engaged in , 1948, and on May 10, 1949 they married at St. Mary's Cathedral in Grand Island. lived in Omaha after the wedding and later moved to Denver, CO. In 1961, they adopted their first daughter, Pam, and in 1962, they adopted their second daughter Michele. lived in Northglenn, CO until the fall of 1967 when the family moved to Loup City, NE. In the fall of 1969, they moved back to Northglenn, CO. She and Don loved boating, fishing, riding motorcycles and snowmobiles, and spending time at their cabin in Grand Lake She worked for 29 years as a PBX Receptionist at Timpte - a job she loved. In , 2010, after almost 61 years of marriage, Don unexpectedly passed away, and Rita was devastated by the loss of the love of her life. In 2011, she moved to the Gunnison Valley Senior . She was a devoted Catholic her entire life and loved dancing, playing bingo, cheating at cards, and making friends wherever she went. She is survived by her daughters Pam and Michele, grandson Rory Magee, and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers Andy and Lou, sister Mae, and nephew Vern Curtis. Visitation will be , 12, from 6-7pm at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Parish in Northglenn, followed by Rosary at 7pm. services will be held , 13, 10:30am at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Parish, followed by a light luncheon in the parish hall at 11:30am. Obituary: Raymond John Meyer, 85, of Fort Collins, passed away 13, 2015 at Spring Creek . He was born 15, 1930 in Chambers, Nebraska to John and Emma (Thede) Meyer. He was raised in Palmer, Nebraska and attended Zion Lutheran School in Worms, Nebraska. Raymond married Helen Mickelsen in 1949 in South Dakota. As a young man, Raymond farmed on his parents farm and worked at a dairy. Raymond and Helen built the first bowling alley in St. Paul, Nebraska. were members of St. Johns Lutheran Church. Raymond enjoyed boating, fishing and golfing. He even got a hole in one at the golf course in Wellton, Arizona. Raymond and Helen were snowbirds, traveling to Wellton every winter for 12 years. Raymond also liked to fly and at one time owned his own plane. Raymond worked as an engineer for Dorsey McComb and was able to travel the world, providing for his wife and 7 children. his retirement, Raymond and Helen enjoyed traveling together. Raymond is survived by his wife Helen, daughters Diana and Dan Carlson of Ft. Collins, Judy and Jim Lay of North Carolina, Barbara and Larry Rowland of Tennessee, Bonita and Peter Vitt of Dacono; sons John and Patty Meyer of Brighton, Donald and Peggy Meyer of Johnstown and Gary and Betty Meyer of Northglenn; two brothers, Terry Walker and Dennis Walker of Stuart, Oklahoma; sisters, Effie and Curtis Grime of Stuart, Oklahoma, Ada Pederson and Don Georing, Ann Meyer, Louise and Jack McIntyre, Wadas and Dorothy and Larry Jones; 19 grandchildren and 42 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister; six grandchildren and one great grandson. Memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m., , May 9 at St. Johns Lutheran Church 305 E.
