Obituary: In Memory of Sharon Ann Meredith 22, 1943 - May 21, 2017 Obituary Sharon Ann Meredith, age 74, passed away quietly on May 21, 2017. Sharon was born on 22, 1943 in San Diego, California. Sharons parents, Carl Bock and Winona (Harding) Bock, preceded her in death. Her father, Carl, was a marine. Therefore, Sharon moved around much as a child. She had a special affinity for one childhood home. She spoke with much reverence and joy of the Mojave desert. lived in the city of Bakersfield. Whenever Sharon spoke of the Mojave desert, it brought her much happiness. Sharon moved out of her parents house to attend college at the age of 18. She attended Colorado State University in Fort Collins. While there, she met Terry Meredith. were married in the year 1962 in Fort Collins. moved to a small town outside of Glenwood Springs, Colorado Called No Name. Soon after, their first child was born, Trisha (Meredith) Lopez. There were also a German Shepard named Gypsy, and a black cat named Snowball. Most of Terrys family lived-in or near Glenwood Springs. Terrys family had adopted Sharon as their own. Sharon loved her mother in law, Dotty, and Dottys sister, Barbara. Dotty was always there to help out with baby Trisha. Barbara had two sons of her own, and offered much advise to Sharon. Sharon, Terry, and Trisha spent many happy years in No Name. Terry got a job with the state of Colorado. This new job brought them to Lakewood, Colorado. Two more children soon followed. Tiffany was born at the end of 1969, and Jake was born at the VERY beginning of 1971. Jake was the first baby born in 1971. He was born one second after midnight!. Sharon stayed home with the kids for a few years. While the kids were in elementary school, Sharon went to school to become a dental hygienist. Sharon had truly found her calling. She loved working in a dental office. She was very good at her job. She was so good at it, that she was soon promoted to office manager. She could answer any question about teeth, dental office procedure, the billing process, and office efficiency. Sharons greatest claim to fame, however, was her wisdom. Whenever any member of her family had any kind of problem, they knew that there was only one person to go to, and that was Sharon. She had lived a life of love and tragedy. This gave her the opportunity to bestow her wisdom. She was there to listen. She was there to offer advise. She was there to offer her great superpower. It was a superpower because anybody else would have judged. Sharon would not judge you. She calmly assessed the situation and offered the best advise possible. She knew that we are all equal in the eyes of God. Sharon will be greatly missed. She will be missed by her children: Trisha, Tiffany, and Jake. She will be missed by her children in law: John Lynch and Dorene Meredith. She will be missed by her grandchildren: Astin Lopez, Kylie Meredith, Zoey Lynch, Adam Lynch, and Noah Lynch. She will be missed by her husband of 26 years, Terry. Probably most importantly, she will be missed by her beloved cat, Lily. Lily will continue to have a wonderful home with Astin Lopez and his girlfriend, Dani Castillo. Astin helped Sharon pick out Lily when they went to the shelter together to find the perfect cat. Sharon never let Astin forget what a good job he did in picking the best cat for her. Please don cry for Sharon. Smile for all the wonderful memories that are left behind for all of us to enjoy. Sharon was a superhero of wisdom. She was there for all of us when we needed her. We must now be there for her. We need to show her that we remember the love, joy and happiness that she brought to all our lives. Live your life in joy with the knowledge that you had the privilege to know Sharon. Cherish those fond memories of Sharon. Be assured that she will live in our hearts forever. Private family services will be held on 17th. |
