Obituary: under the direction of Keith & Keith , Yakima, WA. Jerry Dean Martin, 51, Yakima, beloved husband, father and friend, passed away , 13, 2010 at Yakima Valley Memorial Hospital after an extended illness. Jerry was born in Prosser, Washington on 7, 1958 to Betty Flye and Edgar Martin. He attended school in Prosser. He worked as a carpenter building homes in North and South Dakota. Jerry was a man of many talents, he loved to fish and spend time with his family and friends. He married George Ann Laundreaux in Sunnyside on 12, 1999. The couple moved to Prosser in 1999 to care for his ailing father and a year later moved to Yakima. In 2007 he became disabled. He is survived by his wife, George Ann Martin of Yakima; three sons, Patrick Martin of Dayton, OH, Joshua Martin and Randy Martin both of McLaughlin, SD and a daughter, Samantha Martin of McLaughlin, SD; his mother, Elizabeth Flye Krupt of Sunnyside, WA; step children, Jeremy Pleets of Fort Yates, ND, Jessica Pleets of Eagle Butte, SD and Ivan Pleets Jr. of Yakima; two brothers, Danny Martin of Sarasota, FL and Donny Flye of Oklahoma; and a sister, Debra Peterson of Yakima. He was preceded in death by his father, Edgar Martin, a cousin and an aunt. A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. , 22, 2010 at the Keith & Keith Terrace Heights Chapel. |

Obituary: Jay Clarke Martin passed suddenly on 7,2016 at age 59. Jay worked at Krazan and Associates for many years as an engineering technician, project manager and most recently as Corporate Marketing Director. He grew up in Michigan, moved to Arizona and married, raised two boys in Spokane, and eventually settled in the Sumner/Bonney Lake area. He participated in the annual STP (Seattle to Portland) bike race for several years before injuring his knee in the 2015 race. He also hiked to Camp Muir on Mt. Rainier with one of his good friends. He is survived by his wife of 31 years, Christine, and his two sons, Jay Jr. and Jerry. He is also survived by his mother and three sisters. Graveside service will be on , Nov. 14, 2016 at 2:00 PM at Sumner City . If you would like to honor Jay's life, in lieu of flowers, please donate directly to the Cascade Bicycle Club. |
