Moyer; mother of Francis Anthony Moyer (Frances), Florita Marie Bukenhofer (George), Michael Joseph Moyer (Bonnie), Thomas William Moyer (Chong Un), Charles Bernard Moyer (Glenda ), Gregory Andrew Moyer, and the late Robert Vincent Moyer; sister of Frances Phelan, and the late Grace Sturla, Anne Lentz, Dolores Stres, Joseph Molz, Edward Molz, and Marie Molz; grandmother of Marie, Dave, Terrence, Anne, Anna, Sarah, Claire, Christine, Jennifer, Joseph, James, and Stephen; and great-grandmother of Madeline, Alexandra, and Reagan. Obituary: Leslie Evelyn (Wittig) Moyer, 80, of Waynesboro, passed away , May 12, 2016 at Envoy of Staunton. She was born in New York, New York on 9, 1935, a daughter of the late Albert and Hilda Wittig. Leslie was the owner of Staunton Station Pottery and Gifts. She won many awards for her pottery while participating in the Waynesboro Fall Foliage Art Show Festival .Leslie had a wonderful sense of humor and was a true jokester; she loved it so much that she became a member of the Blue Ridge Mountain Clowners. Leslie also was an animal lover, especially dogs and giraffes. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Carl A. Moyer and two brothers, Paul and Arthur Wittig. Survivors include her three sons, Carl Moyer and wife, Sandy Layne of Scottsville, Henry Moyer and wife, Annie of Waynesboro, and Wes Moyer and wife, Jeanette of Stuarts Draft; three grandsons, Joe, Jacob, and Jeremiah Moyer; a sister, Elvina Pacific of Reading, Pennsylvania; a sister- in -law, Annetta Wittig, a cousin, Regina Kepley of Salisbury, North Carolina; as well as numerous extended family and friends. A memorial service will be held at 11:00AM on , May 16 at Church on the Hill, 100 Foursquare Lane, Fishersville, Virginia 22939, with Pastor Shane Lilly officiating. The family will receive friends following services at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Leslies memory to the Hospice of the Shenandoah, P.O. Box 1000, Fishersville, Virginia 22939 and/or your local SPCA. have been entrusted to the Waynesboro Chapel of Reynolds Hamrick s.
