Obituary: Levi Walker Martin, infant son of Clint Douglas Dougie Martin and Misty Jae Asbury, went home to be with his heavenly father , 11, 2015. In addition to his parents Levi is survived by his brother, Todd Martin; sister, Kayla Bowling and husband Ben; paternal grandparents, Doug and Brenda Martin Nana and Poppy; maternal grandparents, Monte and Pamela Russell Pappy and Grammy; aunt, Teresa Harris; uncles, A.J. Martin and wife Nikki, Claude Buzzy Martin and wife Terri, and T.A. Ray and wife Marta. Many special friends and extended family also survive. The family wishes to thank the staff of the Johnston Memorial Hospital Birthing for all their loving care and compassion. Obituary: Leroy Martin, 84, of Lynchburg, passed away on , 16, 2015 at the Virginia Baptist Hospital. He was the loving husband to his late wife, Margaret Margie Martin for over 48 years. He was also the husband to his second wife, Betty Martin. Born on May 18, 1930 in Sallisaw, OK, he was the son of the late Everett and Nora Martin. Leroy served our country in the United States Navy. He retired from Southern Air as a commissioning foreman. Leroy enjoyed hunting and fishing and is now sipping sweet tea with his first wife, Margie. In addition to his parents and first wife, he is preceded in death by two brothers, James and Ernest Martin. Left to cherish his memory are his children, Leroy Allen Martin and wife Sheila, Sharon Martin Miller and husband Fred, and Cynthia Faye Miller and husband Jeff; seven grandchildren, Ryan Miller, Josh Miller, Peyton Miller, Sam Miller, Heather Martin, Allen Martin, Jr., and Cortney Martin; seven great grandchildren; brothers, Merle Martin and wife Pat and Billy Martin and wife Faye; sister, Dorothy Wheeler and husband Paul; and numerous nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held at 1 pm on , 19, 2015 at Whitten Timberlake Chapel with Celebrant Polly Starnes officiating. Interment will follow at Virginia Memorial Park. Obituary: II Timothy 4: 7-8 I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, and I have kept the faith. Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day; and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing. Leonard G. Martin passed away peacefully into the arms of Jesus, , 21, 2010, at his home with his loving family by his side. He loved the Lord with all his heart, served Him faithfully for forty-one years, and was a charter member of Lighthouse Baptist Church. He was born in Amherst 11, 1938. He was the son of the late Albert B. Martin Sr. and the late Clara Tomlin Martin, and was predeceased by a brother Albert B. Martin Jr. He is survived by his loving wife of forty-nine years, Emma Jane Switzer Martin; two loving sons Anthony (Tony) G. Martin and wife Ellen of Evington, Brian R. Martin and wife Amy of Concord, NC. He is survived by two loving grandchildren, Ryan A. Martin of Evington and Payton C. Martin of Concord, NC. He is also survived by his former daughter -in-law and the mother of his grandson, Susan P. Van Remortel. Also surviving are three loving brothers, Edwin M. Martin of Sperryville, Marshall T. Martin and wife Peggy, David L. Martin and wife Gracie, and sister-in-law Odell Martin. He has many nieces and nephews that love him very much and will surely miss him. He retired from Weyerhaeuser after 38 years of service and then worked for Waste Management in Amherst for 5 years. Leonard loved the great outdoors, the simple things in life, and life in general. He loved to hunt and fish with his two sons, brothers, neighbors and friends. He used the two hands that God gave him to grow some of the biggest and best gardens to which he shared with many people. He loved and helped many people throughout his life and thought of others before himself. A funeral service will be conducted on , 24, 2010 at 2:00 PM at Whitten Monelison Chapel with Pastor Ted Farris and Rev. Alton Peters officiating. Burial will follow at Amherst . The family will receive friends on from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at Whitten Monelison Chapel. The family would like to say a special thank you to the staff of the Seven Hills Hospice.
