Obituary: Services for Selma Baumert Mouser Mott, 96, of Zavalla, will be held at 2:00 p.m. , 28, 2014 in the Gipson Chapel, with Reverend Richard Johnson and Reverend Bob Brock officiating. A private interment will take place in Brookside Memorial Park in Houston. Mrs. Mott was born May 11, 1917 in Houston, Texas, the daughter of the late Mary (Addicks) and Johnn M. Baumert. She passed away , 23, 2014 at Huntington Heathcare . As a youngster, her nickname became Tuffy. She could run and was very athletic \ to say it right, she was Tuff. She then met Freddy, her husband-to-be! He misunderstood their term of description and turned it into his term of endearment, Tubby. She loved it; he loved it; and many today still refer to her as Tubby. She was a homemaker by trade, but she found her enjoyment in hunting and fishing. And another attribute was her ability to alk a blue streak. But Mrs. Selma loved the Lord and His church. While living in Houston, she had become and served as an ordained minister. moving to East Texas, she joined the Shady Chapel United Methodist Church in Zavalla. She dearly loved her East Texas friends, family and her church family. Survivors include her niece, Janet Smith of Pinehurst, Texas; great-niece, Dana Snider and husband Tab of Pinehurst, Texas; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives, neighbors, and church family. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Mott was preceded in death by her husbands, Freddy Mouser and H. D. Dee Mott; daughter, Melba Teague; brothers, Max, Fred and Paul Baumert; and sisters, Martha Plaster and Marie Baumert. Obituary: Services for Sarah Francis (Goins) Mott, 74, of Diboll, will be held at 2:00 p.m. , 29, 2015 at Fairview Baptist Church, with Bro. Gene Hazell officiating. Interment will follow in the Berry . Mrs. Mott was born 18, 1941 in Diboll, Texas, the daughter of the late Nettie Mae (Anderson) and Barney Benjamin Goins. She passed away at her residence on , 27, 2015. Sarah was a devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She was a homemaker and enjoyed sewing, quilting, and being surrounded with grandchildren. She was a member of Fairview Baptist Church. Survivors include her husband, Jose Mott of Diboll; daughters, Jamie Howell and husband Wayne of Apple Springs and Tamisha Luce and husband Woodie of Diboll; son, Danny Mott and wife Marivel of Teneha; grandchildren, Jessica Cockrell, Chad McCarty and wife Tiffany, Merissa McCarty and boyfriend Brian Ritchie, and Felicity and Amber Luce; great-grandchildren, Christopher Street, Brayden McCarty, MaKenzie and Lillyan Cockrell, Alexa and Jullian Thelen, Tanner Ohrwall, Julie and Jonathan Tomaiko; sisters and brothers, Billie Bryce of Diboll, Waynette Patterson and husband Pat of Lufkin, Jerry Goins and wife Glenda of Diboll, and Jimmy Goins and wife Barbara of Pollok; sister-in-law, Nell Goins of Diboll; special cousin, Jan Denton; special friend, Faye Elliot; and numerous other family members and friends. In addition to her parents, Sarah was preceded in death by her mother-in-law and father-in-law, Margaret and Dock Mott; brothers, Herman and Benny Goins; sister, Oleta Hall; sister-in-law, Linda Goins; and brothers-in-law, Kenneth Hall and Orville Bryce. Pallbearers will be Kenneth Hayes, Noah Goins, Jerry (Tootie) Bryce, Kenny Goins, Barney Hall and Ben Goins. Honorary pallbearers will be Chad McCarty, Robert Capps, Derek Constante, Randy Patterson, Eddie Goins, James Goins and Danny Mott. Mildred was born 22, 1926, in Wills Point, the daughter of Jasper Newton Bridwell and Eula Mae Chitty Bridwell. She was raised in the Wills Point area and graduated from Wills Point High School. On 20, 1946, she married Gordon H. Mott in Wills Point. Mildred retired from Southwestern Bell Telephone in Wills Point, where she had worked for many years. She was a great mother and a wonderful cook. Mildred was a member of the First Baptist Church in Wills Point. Preceded in death by her parents, Jasper Newton and Eula Mae Bridwell; husband, Gordon H. Mott; three brothers, Leon Bridwell, Fred Bridwell and Durwood Bridwell and a sister, Alma Samford.
