Obituary: Matthew Robert Mossinghoff, 45, passed away on , 4, at his home in Frisco, Texas. He was a proud Army veteran, a caring son, and a doting uncle. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him. Matthew attended Jesuit Preparatory in Dallas, finishing at stead High School in Cupertino, California after a family move took him to the west coast. He returned to Texas to attend Texas A&M University at Galveston. He worked in telecommunications and information technology at a number of firms, including State Farm Insurance, Lucent Technologies, and International Network Services, and in a number of locations, including Illinois, Texas, and Cologne, Germany. He enjoyed life-long interests in science, technology, and medicine. He joined the Army in 2005, training as a combat medic in San Antonio, and was stationed at Fort Bragg in North Carolina. serving his country, he returned to Frisco to help care for his parents. Matthew was preceded in death by his mother Margaret (Peggy) Mossinghoff and his father John Mossinghoff. He is survived by his sister and brother-in-law Julie and John Compton, of Plano, Texas, his brother and sister-in-law Michael and Kristine Mossinghoff, of Davidson, North Carolina, his brother Daniel Mossinghoff, of Denver, Colorado, and his four nieces and nephews, Christopher and Catherine Compton, and Amanda and Alexandra Mossinghoff. A service will be held at 10:00 am on , 12, 2015, in the chapel at Hoffmeister Colonial funeral home, 6464 Chippewa St., St. Louis, Missouri, followed by interment next to his parents at Resurrection in St. Louis. Obituary: Margaret Michael Peggy Mossinghoff, 73, passed away in her home surrounded by family on 7th, 2013. Our mother was a wonderful lady both on the inside and out. She was the most caring, thoughtful and loving mother one could have. She will be missed more than words can say. Peggy was born May 7th , 1940 in St. Louis, Missouri. She received a degree in English from St. Louis University. There she met the love of her life, John. Peggy and John were married for over 50 years, sharing a life full of love. Together they had four children. Peggy was an avid bridge player. She enjoyed playing bridge with her wonderful friends in several groups. She also enjoyed traveling with her husband, but, most of all, she enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren. She is survived by her husband, John Mossinghoff of Frisco, Texas, her daughter and son-in-law, Julie and John Compton of Plano, Texas, her son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Kristine Mossinghoff of Davidson, North Carolina, her son, Matthew Mossinghoff of Frisco, Texas, her son, Daniel Mossinghoff of Denver, Colorado, and her grandchildren Christopher, Amanda, Alexandra, and Catherine. A Mass will be held at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, 8000 El Dorado Parkway, Frisco, TX 75034 on , 12th, 2013 at 11:00 am. She will be interred at a private ceremony next to her mother Virginia at the Resurrection in St. Louis, Missouri. Obituary: John James Mossinghoff, 74, passed away on , 23, 2015 surrounded by his family. He was a loving father, caring husband, devoted grandfather and a happy and kind soul. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him. John received his degree in electrical engineering from St. Louis University in 1962. There he met the love of his life, Peggy, and they married soon after finishing college. were married for more than 50 years and shared a life full of love and joy together. raised four children and delighted in the lives of each of their four grandchildren. John enjoyed playing bridge, doing crossword puzzles and traveling with Peggy, and he was an active volunteer scout leader for his children for many years. John began his career at Union Electric in St. Louis and joined IBM as a Systems Engineer in 1970. He completed his Master's degree in Computer Science in 1971 at the University of Missouri, Rolla. His career with IBM took him to management positions in St. Louis, Kansas City, the San Francisco Bay Area and Dallas, as well as travel around the world. He remained with IBM until his retirement in 2000. John was preceded in death by his wife Margaret (Peggy) Mossinghoff. He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law Julie and John Compton, of Plano, Texas, his son and daughter-in-law Michael and Kristine Mossinghoff, of Davidson, North Carolina, his son Matthew Mossinghoff, of Frisco, Texas, his son Daniel Mossinghoff, of Denver, Colorado, and his four grandchildren Christopher, Amanda, Alexandra, and Catherine. Services will be held at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, 8000 Eldorado Parkway, Frisco, Texas, on , 29, 2015 at 10:30. Obituary: Anna Leah McDonald Mossier, 87, of Clute TX, passed away on May 30 2015 at Creekside Village. Anna was born on 9, 1928 to Hugh & Leah McDonald in South East Oklahoma. Anna married J.R. Mossier in Oklahoma on 2, 1946. Anna loved her family more than anything in the world. She loved her dogs, classical music, and had a photographic memory that served the entire family for most of her life. She celebrated her faith for more than 50 years with Wesley First Methodist. She will be fondly remembered and missed for her excellent cheesecake and what is known to be the best iced-tea in the world. Anna is preceded in death by her parents; husband; daughters Cynda Mossier Ponder; Merrilee Mossier Miller; sister Murna McDonald Burnett; an aunt, Manners; and a granddaughter, Melodee Suzanne Bedard. Anna is survived by her daughter, Karen Mossier Norris; grandsons Nick Mossier Norris, Chris Mossier Norris (wife Bianca), Paul Kenneth Bedard, James Ryan Bedard, Jeffrey Wayne Ponder (wife Melissa), Brian Jay Ponder (wife Jill); granddaughter Jana Ponder Pruitt; as well as six great-grandchildren. A special thank you to those who took care of Anna during her twilight at Creekside Village, and the many loving staff of Heart to Heart Hospice. A visitation with family and friends will be held at Restwood from 2-4pm on 1, 2015, with a Committal Service held in the Restwood Memorial Park Outdoor Chapel immediately following. |
