Obituary: Sybil Marie Morton went to be with the Lord on 18, 2015 at the age of 87 years old. She is preceded in death by her parents Greenwood Wilson and Dixie Phillips and her brother Greenwood Wilson, Jr. as well as Curtis Morton her beloved husband of 52 years. Her faith and strength in the Lord carried her through those tough days and though her heart was broken she knew she would see Curtis again in heaven. Sybil is survived by her three children. Anita Burns, Curtis M. Morton, and Debra Hobson as well as numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great- great grandchildren. It is said that Sybil Morton never met a stranger. As Uncle Earl always said, There are three forms of communication; telephone, television, and tell a Wilson! Sybil raised her children to love the Lord and passed her Christian legacy down to not only her children but her grandchildren. She was deeply loved by her family and will be sorely missed by all. She will forever live in the hearts of her beloved family until that day when they will be reunited in Heaven. |

Obituary: Lubbock- Stella Morton, 89, of Lubbock, passed away on , 23, 2015. Graveside services will be at 3:00 p.m. on , 25, 2015 at Kress . A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on , 12, 2015 at Second Baptist Church, 6109 Chicago Ave, Lubbock, Texas. are under the care of Lemons , Plainview, Texas. Stella was born on 26, 1926 in Farwell, Texas to Hollis Berry and Mabel (Hassler) Strickland. She graduated from Lockney High School and went on to graduate with an Associates Degree in Education from Wayland Baptist University. She married Robert D. Morton on 23, 1947. Stella enjoyed playing the piano and found great satisfaction in bringing joy to others. Before she retired, she enjoyed a career as a teachers assistant in Kress. She loved her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She served as organist for many years at First Baptist, Kress, Texas and she taught piano for over 30 years. She and Robert were members of Second Baptist Church in Lubbock. She was preceded in death by her parents; 2 sisters; 1 brother and 2 grandchildren. Survivors include her beloved husband of over 67 years, Robert; 3 daughters, Brenda Campbell and husband James of Lubbock, Rebecca Pyle and husband Ron of Arlington, Texas and Beverly Kinnibrugh and husband Randal of Vera, Texas; 4 grandchildren, Kyle Kinnibrugh and Sarah Hilton and husband Jared; Nathan Pyle, Ashley Jumper and husband Stephen and 4 grandchildren, Jocelyn and Annabelle Hilton and Caitlin and Joshua Jumper. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be made to the charity of your choice. |

Obituary: Roland Boyd Morton, son of the late William and Myrtle McCoy Morton, passed away at 2:15 PM, at Winterpark Assisted Living in Garland, TX. Roland was born in Nashville, Tennessee 20, 1915. Obituary: Robert Doyle Morton, 93, of Lubbock, passed away on , 22, 2016. Graveside services will be at 2:00 p.m. on 27, 2016, in Kress . Mr. Morton will be in state at the funeral home on from 9:00-12:00 noon. Robert was born on 24, 1923, in Plainview, Texas, to Wiley Marvin and Mary Louisa (Waller) Morton. He graduated from Kress High School in 1941 and went on to graduate with a Bachelors Degree in Business from the University of Texas in Austin in the late 1940s. He was constituted in the Army of the United States in the 140th Ordnance Heavy Maintenance (FA) in World War II 1943 – 1946. He married Stella M. Strickland on 23, 1947. Robert was manager of Morton Grain Elevator, retired from the Kress Post Office and was a longtime school board member for Kress Independent School District. Robert enjoyed playing bridge with his friends at Brookdale Remington Park where he lived. He loved his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Robert was a member of Second Baptist Church in Lubbock. He was preceded in death by his wife, Stella, in 2015, his parents, one sister, and two grandchildren. Those left to cherish his memory are his three daughters, Brenda Campbell and husband, James of Lubbock, Rebecca Pyle and husband, Ron of Arlington, Texas, and Beverly Kinnibrugh and husband, Randal of Vera, Texas; four grandchildren, Kyle Kinnibrugh, and Sarah Hilton and husband, Jared, Nathan Pyle, Ashley Jumper and husband, Stephen; and five great-grandchildren, Jocelyn, Annabelle, and Cooper Hilton, and Caitlin and Joshua Jumper.
