Obituary: Services for Wayne Morris, 87, of Lufkin, were held on , 15, 2015 in the Garden of Memories Memorial Park, 5205 S. First Street, in the Elwyn M. Gipson Memorial Chapel, with Bro. Elton Musick officiating. Interment followed in the Garden of Memories Memorial Park. Mr. Morris was born 23, 1927 in Diana, Texas, the son of the late Etta Mae (Knight) and E. W. Morris. He passed away , 12, 2015 in a local hospital. Mr. Morris was a retired maintenance supervisor for Georgia Pacific. Survivors include his wife of more than 70 years, Addie Lee Morris of Lufkin; daughter and son-in-law, Wanda and Ben Ford of Diboll; daughter, Judy Stephens of Lufkin; grandchildren, Brad Hampton and wife Karen of Lufkin, Teri Hampton of Baytown, Jay Morris and wife Erin of Frisco, Todd Morris and wife Kelly of Diboll, Dustin Ford and wife Tracy of Diboll; Darci McLin and husband Mark of Diboll, and Darla Lowery and husband Jody of Etoile; 14 great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces, nephews, other family members and friends. In addition to his parents, Mr. Morris was preceded in death by his son, Jerry Wayne Morris; 1 sister; and 5 brothers. Mr. Morris grandchildren, Dustin Ford, Mason Ford, Todd Morris, Seth Morris, Brad Hampton, and Cody McLin served as pallbearers. Obituary: Cecil Hughes Morris, 93, passed away , 16, 2011. Graveside service: 11 a.m. in Moore Memorial Gardens in Arlington. Visitation: 2 to 4 p.m. at Moore . Cecil was a loyal and loving wife, mother, aunt and friend. She was a very compassionate person and loved working with the elderly. Cecil was a true southern lady, dignified to the end. Everyone who met her, loved her and was amazed by her inner and outer beauty. She was an active member of North Davis Church of Christ for 45 years. She was also active as a leader of Campfire Girls and worked as a real estate broker with Ebby Halliday Realty. Morris, along with five brothers and three sisters. Obituary: Carl Edward Morris, son of Dee and Ivy Morris, was born on 8, 1924 in Steff, Kentucky (Grayson ) and died peacefully on 30, 2009. He is survived by his loving wife of 53 years Lorraine (Renee) Morris, daughters Carolyn Mayo and Alice Faye Lemons, sons Wade M. Sheffield, Jr and Randy D. Morris, son-in-laws George Brooks Mayo II and Tommy Lemons, daughter-in-laws Kay Turner Sheffield and Denise Morris, 10 grandchildren: Kathy Landry, George Brooks Mayo III, and John Carl Mayo, Jeff Lemons and Laurie Getter, Christopher and Nicholas Sheffield, Brian, Ashlyn and Craig Morris, 9 great grandchildren and 1 great, great grandchild. Carl served in the US Army 20 plus years and had tours including World War II, Korean conflict and the Vietnam War. World War II he graduated from Western Kentucky University in 33 months. He achieved the rank of Lieutenant Colonel. Carl graduated from Ranger School, the Advanced Officer course, was a company commander, and a post operations officer, post and training center operations officer and Antillies Command Assistant and Operations Officer. He attended Command & General Staff in Fort Leavenworth, Kansas and later returned as an instructor. He taught ROTC in Davenport, Iowa and organized the ROTC program at Cole High School, Fort Sam Houston. In the early 1970s he trained for and received licenses in both real estate and securities. Carl and Renee were the founders of Morris Realty in 1971. He also prepared income taxes for clients for over 35 years. Carl was a cub scout troop leader, active in Windcrest Little League and was a life master bridge player. He was an active member of John Calvin Presbyterian Church where he held several positions including Vice Moderator of the Session. Special thanks to the staff at Northeast Baptist Hospital and especially to Dr. Michael Natalino. Visitation will be 5-7 P.M., , 3, 2009 at Sunset Memorial Park and . Memorial Service is 10 A.M. , 4, 2009 at John Calvin Presbyterian Church. Rev. Dr. Malcolm McQueen officiating. Everyone is invited to the fellowship hall for a light meal following the service. Private entombment will follow at Sunset Mausoleum 5000. Donations in lieu of flowers to John Calvin Presbyterian Church Pastoral Discretionary Fund. |

Obituary: Caitlin (KK) Alexandra Morris was born 12, 1992 in New Braunfels, Texas. She went to dance and sing with the angels on 19, 2010. Caitlin leaves behind a loving family to include her mother and father, Melanie and Frank Morris; her sister Nicholle, and brother Seth; maternal grandmother Maggie Silver Temme and step-grandfather Kevin Temme; paternal grandmother Helen Morris. Other survivors include her aunts, Tina Grier, Sheri Williams and husband Dennis and Margaret Morris; cousins Chad Caldwell and family of Seguin, Brandon Caldwell and family of San Antonio, Jason Caldwell and wife of Temple, Brittany Williams, Travis Williams, Brittany Grier, Kenda and Regan Grier, Railinn Jones and family of Kansas, Andrew and Eric Duffek, Tracy Cuddy and family and numerous other families members. KK was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather Jerry Silver, paternal grandfather James Morris and aunt Dorothy Duffek. KK was a junior at Canyon High School and leaves behind numerous loving classmates and very special teachers. She had a special teacher Rebecca Bloxham who loved her dearly. Her son Joey Bloxham would help KK with her school work as well. KK has attended schools in the CISD since the age of 3 and has had a host of special teachers who have helped to push her to be what she had become. She enjoyed dancing, singing and bowling. She loved listening to music, especially Miley Cyrus and Justin Bieber. KK had lots of friends and no enemies. Having known KK meant knowing the meaning of unconditional love. She brought joy to many lives and brightened your day with her frequent I love yous. Visitation will be on 24th from 5-9pm at Zoeller . services will be 25th at 2pm at Oakwood Baptist Church. Interment will be at the Hill Country Memorial Gardens on Hwy 46 West. In lieu of flowers contributions can be made to Special Olympics Texas or Young Life Capernaum. |
