Obituary: Delila Moorman, best known as “Moma Dee”, went to be with our Lord on , 3, 2017 at 12:30 p.m. Moma Dee didn’t meet a stranger. She was always opening her home to all and giving, more than she had, to anyone in need. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Judy and Ric Boyd; her three sons, Steve, Sherman, and John Moorman, as well as nine grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Obituary: Virginia Carolyn Fleming was born on 10, 1929 to Berton Harris Fleming and Ethel Clayton Fleming in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. She came into this world with a readymade family of two older brothers and two older sisters. Within the next two years in 1931, she gained another sister who was named Loraine Clayton Fleming. became fast friends and close sisters and remained so until Loraines death in 2003. Carolyn met her future husband Lloyd Fray Moorman when she was sixteen. He had just returned home from the Air Force and lived with his family upon his return. Carolyns father was a Methodist minister and had a cow that Carolyn and Loraine had delivered milk to customers on their milk route. Carolyn wanted to meet this young man who attended the church that her father was pastoring. His family attended the church so she convinced Loraine to trade milk routes with her so she could get to know Lloyd. Not long after this Lloyd and Carolyn began to date. married on 23, 1947. Lloyd was called to be a minister and they moved from Houston to Dallas so that he could attend the seminary at SMU. While still in Houston, their daughter Joyce Marie was born on 29, 1948. Son Daniel Lloyd was born on 2, 1951. Third child, a daughter, Martha Ann was born on 21, 1953. Lloyd began his life as a Methodist minister, Carolyn followed him from church to church as he was transferred until he took a sabbatical in 1971. During the mid-1970s, Carolyn attended nursing school and after making a 100 on her test for the State Boards, she became an LVN. Most of her years in nursing, she worked in the ICU Unit. Until her retirement and then in 1996, came to A Yellow Rose Florist and worked there with her daughter and grandson until the Alzheimers began to take her memory away. She was a vital part of the shop and is greatly missed. Carolyn and Lloyd had a good life together and finally bought their first house in the 1970s. Lloyd was diagnosed with cancer, months after following surgery and a stay in a rehab to get his strength back; he passed away in 1979. Carolyns Alzheimers increased as members of her family passed away. She lost many family members since 2003 when this terrible disease began. Until the very end we knew Mom loved us all. two years of living in an Alzheimers facility, we chose to move mom to Anns home and with much love and help from Ann, the hospice, Leigh, Rachel and Joya, mom lived many more months. As time went by and the disease began to destroy her mind and body, she passed away on 13, 2015. We hope she knows how much she was loved and appreciated by Ann and I as our mother, friend, someone we could confide in and a wonderful person. She was one beautiful woman both inside and out. We know she will be missed by all that knew her as a wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt, sister-in-law, friend, co-worker and ministers wife. Carolyn is now going home to be with her husband, son, three grandchildren, parents, five siblings and too many relatives and friends to mention. Carolyn is survived by her two daughters; nine living grandchildren; twenty-one great-grandchildren; and other relatives and friends.
