Obituary: James Wayne Molden was born on 4, 1940, in Rockdale, Texas, and is the son of the late Onix and Doris Molden of Rockdale. He attended Aycock Elementary and Aycock High School. While in high school, he was outstanding in all sports and dramatics. During his senior year, he was Vice-President of his senior Class of 1959 and was also a member of the yearbook staff. Known as Buffalo to his classmates, James was voted Most Witty and along with his wife and classmate, the former Agnes Ruth McKee, was named Best Dressed, Senior Favorite, and Friendliest Couple known as Sidney to his closest friends.. He married his high school sweetheart Agnes Kee Kee McKee. James Molden entered the United States Marines Corp after his high school graduation. Because of his tact, good judgment and wisdom, he was assigned to the AWOL Division and became a prisoner chaser for Marine deserters. This assignment carried him throughout the United States. He served in the Marine Corps for four years, after which he received an honorable discharge. James lived in California for a short time and later made his home in Austin, Texas. While in Austin, he worked for the City of Austin Police Department for 25 years and later retired as a jail supervisor. With this experience, he decided to go into law enforcement and would later pursue a career in that field. James holds an Associate Degree in Criminal Justice from Austin Community and he is also certified in search and seizure procedures. While performing his many duties as supervisor, he received two certificates of bravery for saving the lives of inmates in suicide attempts. In his work, he says I encounter many unique and different individuals...the average citizen, the good, bad, ugly, abused, neglected, but each to me is a basic human being in need of a helping hand ...and just reaching out for some kind of understanding. James was a great provider, loving father, fearless of life and full of principles. One, to always speak his mind and make humor out of any situation which made him so special. His heart was always filled with love and he shared his love with everyone he met. James was generous and always had something kind to say. His words of encouragement will never be forgotten. James loved being around his family. He loved meeting new faces and embracing familiar ones. He loved watching college basketball and football. He loved the Dallas Cowboys and loved watching the Western channel with his wife, Agnes who was his ock and the light of his life. Those who remain to cherish the memory of his time here on earth are his beautiful wife, friend and buddy Agnes and their children Stacia Aliche, Carlos Molden, Kimberly Molden and Michelle Molden. In addition his sisters and his brother, Veda Tindle, Lovie Edwards, Berdie Hemphill, Molly Perry (Lewis), and George Molden (Juanita). He adored all of his grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
