Obituary: John R. Miller, 86, of Texarkana, AR passed away 29, 2016 in a local hospital. Mr. Miller was born 24, 1930 in Texarkana, AR. He was a member of Christ United Methodist Church, Texarkana, AR; Edwards Masonic Lodge; and a veteran of the U. S. Air Force. He was preceded in death by his wife, Anita Miller; son John Raymond Miller, Jr.; his first grandchild, Kevin Ray ; and great grandsons, Daniel Detwiler and J. T. Redfearn. Survivors include his daughter, Gayle Barnes of Texarkana, AR; son, Bradford Miller of Texarkana, AR; daughter, Patti Moore of Texarkana, TX; and son and daughter-in-law, David and Connie Miller of Texarkana, AR; grandchildren, Christina Mauldin, Matthew , Wesley and Jenny Kent, Nicholas and Jennifer Kent, Melissa and James Redfearn, Rebecca Moore, Kalyn and Tyler Thomas and Courtney Miller; great grandchildren, Bradyn Mauldin, Hunter Mauldin, Noah Cruse, Wynlee Kent, Amy Beth Redfearn and Rayder Thomas. Service will be 3 p.m., , 2, 2017 at Christ United Methodist Church with Rev. David Kassos officiating followed by Masonic Rites. This was put to use in the 19 years he worked at The Boeing (1952 \ 1971). retirement from Boeing, he continued to work in his own business, Jack?s Custom Wood Working, and later teamed with wife Katy as owners of Vesta Cutting Employment Agency in the 1980?s. In retirement, they traveled throughout the country in their truck and trailer (\Cupcake\?). Obituary: John Paul Jack Miller, 86, of San Antonio, Texas, passed away , 10, 2015, after an extended illness. Jack was born on 13, 1928 in Marquette, Michigan to John and Bernice (Moffatt) Miller. He graduated from Bishop Baraga High School and Northern Michigan University in Marquette. Jack then obtained his MBA from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, Michigan. He started his career at General Electric and then went to work for Northwestern Mutual. Jack found his true calling, however, when he went to work for the United Fund (now the United Way) in Marquette. Before settling his family in San Antonio in 1972, Jack worked at the United Way offices in Richmond, Virginia and Cincinnati, Ohio. Jack loved his work at the United Way and remained there for 33 years before retiring from his position as the Vice President of Resource Development. Jack was devoted to his family and enjoyed spending time with them. He loved to go for drives and travel by car, and for years he drove his family of eight to Marquette, Michigan each summer to visit family and friends. While in Marquette, one of his passions was to watch the ore boats coming into the docks on Lake Superior. Jack and his wife Rita passed on their love of Marquette to their children and grandchildren, who still travel there to visit family and enjoy all the beauty that it has to offer. Jack is survived by his wife Rita (Struthers), daughters Cathy Webb (Joseph), Carolyn, and Ann of San Antonio, his son Thomas (Mary) of Fort Meyers, Florida, his grandchildren Lauren (Tanner) Neidhardt of Austin, and Joseph Webb III of Fort Worth, and his sister-in-law Elsie Parent and his niece Lore Ann Parent of Marquette, Michigan, and his cousin, Jack (Mary Ann) Campbell of Iron Mountain, Michigan. Jack was preceded in death by his parents, his brother James, and sons Patrick and Michael. Visitation will be held on , 17th at 6:00 p.m. at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, 600 Oblate Dr., San Antonio, TX 78216. A Rosary service will follow at 7:00 p.m. services will be held on , 18th beginning at 10:00 a.m. at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church. Obituary: John Clifton Miller of Montgomery passed away 12, 2014 in Conroe, Texas at the age of 82. He was born along with a twin brother on 13, 1931 in Nashville, Tennessee to Robert Ellard and Margaret Ann Eubanks Miller. Cliff was a member of the Longmire Road Church of Christ in Conroe. He received a B.A. degree from Vanderbilt University and a Juris Doctor Degree from South Texas of Law. He retired from Shell Oil in 1992 as a Sr. Tax Attorney and lobbyist in numerous states and Washington, D.C., where he was a resource on Capitol Hill and the White House. He was a member of several American Petroleum Institute and Mid-Continent Oil and Gas Association tax policy committees and was a founding member of the Houston Forum Club. He was a member of the State Bar of Texas and the Montgomery Bar Association. Cliff served his country in the United States Navy and saw combat duty in Korea and participated in the China Patrol. He was associated with the Montgomery Philosophical Society and felt a very close kinship to each member. He was involved in many community activities. Cliff, a strong economic conservative, served and fought for years on the Harris and the Montgomery Democratic Executive Committees and in his later years became active in the Republican Party. Cliff was a lifetime member of the Montgomery Fair Association and an active member of that associations rodeo and carnival committees. He was a past Director and President of the Walden Property Owners Association and Advisor to the Walden Community Improvement Association. He was involved with the Auntie Litter Program as Colonel Clean Street. He has served as director and vice-president of the Crighton Foundation for the Performing Arts, director and president of the Crighton Players and performed in numerous Crighton Players productions. He announced C.A.Y.B. youth baseball games. The special education kids and others will remember Cliff as Major Marvel, The Human Cannonball at the annual Montgomery Fair Association Carnival. He shot it out with the boys and girls attending the Montgomery Old West Festival as Billy Badlander. He portrayed Beethoven for The Woodlands Symphony Orchestras childrens Upbeat Live series. He also performed with the Walden Follies. He was known for his keen sense of humor. Cliff was associated with the Quaid Talent Agency in Houston and Williams Talent Agency in Sugar Land. Cliff performed in television commercials and voice-overs, industrial film and print work and served as an extra in major movies. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother Bobby. He is survived by his wife Peggie of Montgomery, his son Michael of Houston, his daughter Teresa (Teddy) Castillo and husband Charlie of Montgomery, and two grandsons who called him Cliff and were the joy of his life, Derek Causey of Beeville, Texas, and Dustin Causey and wife Susannah of Houston, Texas. Cliff was proud to be the mentor of his son and grandsons all who followed his footsteps and became attorneys. Cliff is also survived by his brother Raymond and wife Marjorie, of Nashville, Tennessee, and a number of nephews and nieces and a lot of good buddies. |

Obituary: John Miller, aged 89, of San Antonio, passed away , 15, 2011 in San Antonio. John was born 21, 1921 in Nykobing, Morso, Denmark and came to America at the age of 8. He was proud to be a Dane and even prouder to be an American. He grew up in Chicago, graduating from Senn High School and attended 2 years of Aeronautical until he joined the service during World War II. He had a career in the Air Force and lived in many different states during this time. he retired from the Air Force he moved back to Chicago and took over his fathers business. He moved to San Antonio in 1993 and has resided in the Garden Ridge neighborhood for the past 18 years. He was a member of the Garden Ridge Lions Club for 18 years. He is survived by his wife Dorothy, his daughter Susanne Koob (John), and three grandsons, John IV, Eric and Jeffrey Koob, twin sister Ann Underwood, nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents Christian Houmoller Miller and Kirstine Vestergaard Miller, his baby sister Ruth and his brother-in-law David Underwood.
