Obituary: JULIUS J. MIKULENKA VICTORIA - Julius J. Mikulenka, 91, of Victoria, died peacefully on 26, 2015. Mr. Mikulenka was born on 22, 1923 to the late Julius and Mary Sitka Mikulenka. He was married to Georgia Mae Schindler Mikulenka for 50 years and together they raised eight children. Mr. Mikulenka was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church. He was retired and was a veteran who participated in the WWII D-Day invasion in 1944. Survivors include his five sons, James Mikulenka and wife Cindy Diebel Mikulenka of Bastrop, David Mikulenka and wife Dorothy Sawyer Mikulenka, Daniel Mikulenka and wife Donna McSpadden Mikulenka, Patrick Mikulenka and wife Shanna Powitsky Mikulenka, Chris Mikulenka and wife Susan Franz Mikulenka, all of Victoria; three daughters, Linda Trenck of McDonough, GA, Charlotte Bues and husband Terry of Victoria, Jennifer Alexander and husband Rick of Arlington; sisters, Loraine Butschek and husband Bob, Mary Lee Brosch; brother, Alvin Mikulenka, all of Hallettsville; grandchildren, Erin, Ryan (Leah), and Neil Mikulenka, Brian Trenck, Stacy (Allen) Creech, Keith (Amie) Myers, Melissa (Ross) Wardlaw, Lauren and Ashley Mikulenka, Danielle (Jeff) Volkmer, Dane (Lindsey) Mikulenka, Jamie and Wendy Alexander, Kara (Bobby) Rodriguez, Eric and Michael Mikulenka; and great grandchildren, Audrey Vogel, Andrew, Austin and Sydney Creech, Elise, Luke and Reed Myers, Colin Wardlaw, Paige and Jacob Volkmer and Hugo Mikulenka. Mr. Mikulenka was preceded in death by his parents; wife; sister, Ann Butschek; brother, George Mikulenka; son in law, Robert Trenck and granddaughter, Allison Trenck. Visitation will be held on , 28th from 6 to 7 pm followed by a rosary to be recited at 7:00 pm at the Colonial . The Mass will be held on , 29th at 10:00 am at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church. His grandchildren will serve as pallbearers. Burial will follow at Memorial Park with full military honors under the auspices of the Victoria Veterans Council. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, Hospice of South Texas or donor's choice. Obituary: Dorothy Lee (Palla) Mikulencak, age 86, of Taylor passed away on 2, 2015. Dorothy was baptized and confirmed into the Christian Faith. She was a lifelong member of the Taylor Brethren Church. She was a farm wife and loved working alongside any of her family. She was the silver lining of her family. Dorothy was a seamstress, loved flowers and animals, especially her parakeet and bunny. She was preceded in death by her brother, Harry Palla, and her sisters, Viola Kruse, Elizabeth Walther, and her twin sister Willie Mae Pokorny. Dorothy was saddened by the losing her twin sister who shared her birthday, but was blessed with a great-granddaughter who now shares it with her. She is survived by her Husband of 65 years, Frank J. Mikulencak; her children, Vera and husband Reginald Woods Sr. and Sandra and husband Robert T. Kruse; her grandchildren, Reginald and wife Kathy Woods Jr., Frank and wife Kayla Woods, Jeremy Rathke, Dustin and wife Tobi Kruse, and Robert E. and wife Jennifer Kruse; her great-grandchildren, Nathan Jones, Faith Woods, Garrett Woods, Ema Woods, Corbin Olson, Kaitlyn Woods, Austin Kruse, and Jaycie Kruse. Visitation will be held from 6pm-8pm on 3, 2015 at Condra . services will be held at 10 am on 4, 2015 at Condra . Burial will follow at Taylor City . Serving as pallbearers will be the grandchildren. Dorothys family loves her deeply and thanks her for all she did for them. Her great-grandson said it best, She was the best Memo in the whole world.
