Obituary: Patricia Robinson Meyers, beloved mother and grandmother, passed away unexpectedly on , 13, 2011. She was born on 3, 1947 in Houston to Kenneth and Alice Robinson. Pat attended Stephen F. Austin High School and the University of Houston, graduating with a degree in nursing. She was currently employed as Registered Nurse to Dr. Kevin Slawin, M.D., Vanguard Urology. Pat was a caregiver to countless patients over the years and touched many in her career and will be missed by all who knew her. Pat is survived by her son, Scott Meyers and wife Alissa; her daughter, Amanda Meyers Glaser and husband Paul; her granddaughter, Avery Meyers; former husband, Charles Meyers; along with numerous other loving relatives and friends. A Celebration of Pats life will be held at 4 PM on , 18, 2011 in the Hunters Creek Chapel at Earthman Directors, 8303 Katy Freeway, Houston, TX 77024. Obituary: Mrs. Lucille Meyers 31 1927 - 30 2011 Lucille Jean Benoy Meyers was born 30, 1927, in Lancaster, Wisconsin. She was the daughter of Mr. & Mrs. Joseph E. Benoy of Bagley, Wisconsin. Lucille grew up and attended schools in the Bagley area. She graduated from Bloomington, Wisconsin, High School in 1945, and then attended Madison Business School in Madison, Wisconsin. She then worked at Farmers Mutual Insurance Co. as a Bookkeeper and Accountant. two years in the business world, her mother became ill, so Lucille returned to the family farm, caring for her mother and running the household. In 1948, she met Harold Meyers, a local businessman and Reserve Officer in the Air Force. were married on 4, 1949, in the Bagley Methodist Church. Two years later, their first son, David, was born, and shortly thereafter, Harold was recalled to active duty with the Air Force during the Korean War. The young couple sold their business and home, bought a small trailer house, and reported for duty. As an Air Force wife, Lucille then spent many years supporting her husbandÂs career, moving frequently, and assuming many of the family parenting duties in HaroldÂs absence. Her second son, Robert, was born in 1954. She insisted on good academic performance from her boys, encouraged their involvement in the Boy Scouts both sons became Eagle Scouts, and taught School. Harold retired from the Air Force in 1970, and they moved back to Wisconsin for a few years, before finally settling to Texas. moved to Austin where Harold began a career in the investment business. Lucille spent her time remodeling their beautiful home on Lake Travis, and managing several rental properties they owned. But most of all, she enjoyed spending time with family. And when her only grandchild, Katherine Katy, was born, her role as grandmother, quickly became her favorite. When Harold retired from the business world, they moved to Air Force Village II in San Antonio. In the early years, Lucille and her husband enjoyed cooler summers and winter holidays at their vacation home in Breckenridge, Colorado. When they sold that, they bought a large motor home and traveled extensively, seeking cooler climates during the Texas summers. Lucille was a lovely and gracious lady who always had a smile and kind words for people. She was selflessly devoted to God, our great country, and her family. The world is a better place for having known her. Lucille had been a long time member of the Methodist Church, and was a member of the Air Force Village II Protestant Church. She is survived by her husband of 62 years, Harold; son David and wife Patricia of Sequim, Washington; son Robert of Austin, Texas; granddaughter, Katherine, of Little Rock, Arkansas; and brother, Duane Benoy, of Bagley, Wisconsin.
