Obituary: Ann Melugin went to be with the Lord on , 4, 2015 at her residence in Ector with her children at her side. services will be held at 10:00AM , 7, 2015 at Mullican-Little Chapel in Bells/Savoy, Texas. Reverend Chris Merritt of the First Baptist Church in Savoy will officiate. Interment will follow in Arledge Ridge . Ann was born 10, 1933 in Bailey, Texas to Lynn and Eula Mae Peek Bicknell. She retired as a nurse aide at Mullican in Savoy, Texas. She graduated from Bailey High School in 1950 and was a Baptist. Surviving Ann are her children, sons Till Melugin and his wife Dana of Savoy and Johnny Melugin of Savoy, daughters Iwana Foster and her husband Billy of Savoy, Peggy Heath and her husband Elvin of Bonham and Wanda Conner of Wylie, 14 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, daughter Eula Faye Chesser and one sister. |

Obituary: MELTZ Joan DeVaney Meltz, a 35-year resident of San Antonio, died peacefully in her home on 26, 2006. She was 59 years old. Joan was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. Joan was born in Newark, New Jersey on 21, 1946. She married Martin L. Meltz in Golden Gate Park, San Francisco, on 7, 1970. She earned a B.A. degree from Our Lady of the Lake University in Speech and Hearing Disorders in May, 1974, and earned a M.A. degree in Counseling Psychology from Trinity University in , 1978. She worked as a psychotherapist and counselor, both part-time at the Ecumenical for Religion and , and in private practice. She was preceded in death by her parents, John DeVaney and Grace McLaughlin DeVaney. Joan is survived by her husband of thirty-five years, Marty; daughter, Suzie and her husband Tom, precious grandsons Max, Ian and Sam; sister and brother-in-law, Ann DeVaney and David Sonneborn; niece, Kristin Becker and her husband, Michael Henninger and their child Oscar Beckinger; nephew, Erik Becker and his wife, Michelle Nord; sister, Suzanne DeVaney; brother and sister-in-law, Hugh and wife, Norma Solena DeVaney and their children, Melissa DeVaney, Ana Sofia DeVaney and Alan DeVaney; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Gail Rubman, Lewis Rubman and their son, Aaron Rubman. To know Joan was to know a caring, loving, and accepting woman. Everyone who met her genuinely adored her. Joan was a strong woman who demonstrated her strength through her struggle with her chronic illness, always managing to remain upbeat and joyful while showing a true zest for life. Joan was rarely without opinion on political issues, and actively supported causes related to womenÂs issues, separation of church and state, and quality education. She was a staunch supporter of peace, and was intolerant of violence. Her beautiful soul will live on forever in everyone who knew her. JoanÂs ashes will be distributed in the Pacific Ocean near the Golden Gate Bridge. A celebration of her life will be held for family and close friends in Sausalito, California, and another in San Antonio in for her many friends and family here. |

Obituary: Willie Lou Jones Ivey Melton passed away 24, 2015 in Deer Park, Texas. She was born in Runnels in the city of Ballinger, Texas on a cold rainy night, 25, 1932, to parents Willie Olander Jones and Lee Audrey (Brown) Jones. Following the death of her father in 1933, Willie Lou's mother relocated the family to Louisiana to be near maternal relatives. She attended Ruston High School in Ruston, Louisiana, married in 1947 and moved to the Houston area in 1952, eventually settling in the cities of Pasadena, Dayton, and Deer Park respectively. Willie Lou was a strong, vibrant and successful woman who loved life and lived it to the fullest. Friends, family, neighbors and acquaintances describe her as selfless and generous with a beautiful and positive spirit. She was a role model, mentor, best friend, and confidante to many and she proudly considered her home and family her career. Hobbies and interests included reading, dancing, gardening, music, sewing, traveling and spending time with friends and family. She is preceded in death by both parents; step-father Walter F. Foster; first husband of 33 years, Johnnie Scott Ivey; second husband of 19 years, Marvin Louis Melton; brother Robert Harold Jones, sister Martha Sue (Foster) Martin, and grandson-in-law, Raymond Alan Yarbrough. She is survived by son John Michael Ivey and wife Brenda Gail (Caffey) Ivey of Deer Park, Texas; daughter Kimberly Kathleen Ivey Wuttke and husband Jeffery William Wuttke of Pasadena; step-daughter Linda Lee (Melton) Biben of Albany, Louisiana. Grandchildren include Tamara Michelle(Ivey) Dugan and husband Adam Lee Dugan of Bryan, Texas; Dustin Scott Ivey and wife Dr. Toni Ann (Davis) Ivey of Stillwater, Oklahoma; Mandy Kathleen (Wuttke) Yarbrough of League City, Texas; John Jeffery Wuttke of Pasadena, Texas, and Savannah Rose Wuttke of Pasadena, Texas. Great-grandchildren are Aaron Michael Dugan, Alizabeth Brooke Dugan, Vivien Ann Ivey, William Michael Ivey, Joshua Alan Yarbrough, Jeffery Quinn Yarbrough, Kayla Allison Yarbrough, and Robert Blake Piercy. Surviving siblings are sister Audrey Marie (Foster) Clark and husband Roger M. Clark, of Dayton, Texas; brother Walter Wayne Foster of Ruston, Louisiana. Many beloved nieces, nephews and cousins; friends Mary Reed, Lorraine Kirkham, Anita and Charles Lynn, and Bobby J. Ivey. Her final message to her family: "Don't grieve over my passing. Just remember the good times and all the years we've been so fortunate to have together. Remember my love for each of you and most important of all....that life is for the living." Visitation will be from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM on , 30, 2015 with funeral at 11:00 AM. Interment will follow at Grand View Memorial Park. |
