Obituary: MARGARET GREER MEEK Margaret Meek went to meet her Lord and Savior and join her beloved husband and other family members on , 17, 2011, at the age of 88. She was a very loving mama, grandmother, and great grandmother who was much loved in return. Services will be held , 20, at Parkside Community Church at 2:00, with Jason Hemmings officiating. Burial will be at 10:00 a.m. at Lawnhaven Memorial Garden. are by Johnsons . Honorary pallbearers will be grandsons, Kevin Meek, Keith Meek, Ken Cunningham, Gus Constancio; and great-grandsons, Kollin Meek, Landon Meek, Bryce Cunningham, Trey Constancio, and Lane Constancio. She was born in Hardin, Texas on 6, 1922 to William and Ollie Greer. She was the third born of nine children. Her family moved from the Texas coast to San Angelos dryer climate after her older brother, Gilbert, died of tuberculosis. She graduated from Lake View High School and soon thereafter met her future husband, E.V. Jack Meek. married 4, 1941 and enjoyed 56 years together before his death on 10, 1997. To this union were born two sons, Jack E. and Robert P.Bob Meek. She worked at Wallace Studios for 20 years and retired in 1970. Margaret loved the Lord and became a Christian at a young age. She was a long time faithful member of the Foursquare church (Parkside Community church) where she held many offices and taught many bible classes from infant to adult ages. She served as President of the Women Aglow ladies church organization. She was UFW Woman of the Year in 1976 and 1977. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; granddaughter, Heather Meek; brothers, Gilbert, Howard, and Floyd Greer; brothers-in-law, Frederick Harbour and Charlie Wallace. She is survived by her sons, Jack E. (Chong) Meek, Robert P. (Alva Jean) Meek; four grandchildren, Kevin Meek of Bronte, Schuyler (Ken) Cunningham of Longview, Keith (Tiffany) Meek and Vanessa (Gus) Constancio of San Angelo; eight great-grandchildren, Kollin, Chelsea, Landon, Kyra, Kailey, Bryce, Trey, and Lane; one brother Robert (Pauline) Greer of San Angelo; five sisters, Lois Wallace of San Angelo, Grace (Nelson) Ball of Lufkin, Dorothy Harbour of Waco, Emma Jean (Frank) Whitfield of Baytown, Edith (Jim) Davis of Mont Belvieu; sisters-in-law, Shirley Greer of Hodgenville, Ky., and Lella Mae Greer of Port Neches; and many nieces and nephews. The family wishes to give a special thanks to Victoria Hudson of TLC and , for her loving care for the past year and a half; Jean Slaughter, Gene Sherrod and the entire staff from Hospice of San Angelo, and the staff at Park Plaza . Obituary: Kenny A. Meek, 53, a resident of Carrollton, died, , 21, in Carrollton following a serious illness of 6 months.. The son of Charley and Catherine Allen Meek, he was born in Dallas, Texas and grew up in Carrollton. A graduate of R.L. Turner, class of 1972, he was extremely gifted as pianist, singer and composer. In addition to church concerts, he often enjoyed the frequent opportunities to play and sing for the residents of various nursing homes. He was a training supervisor for various retail sales organizations and a member of the Assembly of God Church. Preceded in death by his mother, Catherine, in of 2001 , he is survived by his father, Charles of the home and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and dear friends. Visitation was at the Rhoton on , 25th from 6-8 p.m. and services are scheduled for 2 p.m. , 26th at the Rhoton Chapel with burial to follow in Hilltop Memorial Park. Obituary: Meek, John William Plano, TX- John W. Meek, age 86 passed away on 24, 2009 due to cancer complications. He was born 20, 1923 in Idana, KS to John and Mildred Marsh. Mr. Meek served his country during WWII, as a Navy Ensign. He graduated from the University of Kansas in 1948. Working as a geophysicist in the oil and gas industry until retirement. Once retired he enjoyed spending time with his family and playing golf and bridge. Mr. Meek was preceded in death by his daughter, Kay Richardson. He is survived by his loving wife Roberta Lee Huffman, two sons, Dale Meek and wife Nancy, and Bruce Meek; one daughter, L. Paige Cormier; one son-in-law, George Richardson; six grandchildren, Stefani Meek, Austin Richardson, Cameron Meek, Allyson Cormier, Taylor Meek, and Nicole Cormier. Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. , 29, 2009 at Canyon Creek Presbyterian Church, 3901 Northstar Rd. Richardson, TX, with Dr. Don Lewis officiating.
