Obituary: David Mark Means, age 62, of Garland, Texas, returned to the Lord on 11th, at 1:29 AM. David was diagnosed in May 2011 with Stage 4 liver cancer and was given only 6 months to live; however, by Gods Grace, David was blessed with an additional 10 years with his loved ones. David was a true testament of a God-fearing Christian, loving and caring husband, devoted father, grandfather, and friend. A kid at heart, he was always full of energy and life; his sense of humor was unmatched. He never failed to make you laugh, and you never left his company without a smile. He was loved by all who knew him because of his gift for making you feel special. David was born May 15, 1955. He joined the Army right out of high school in 1972 and retired as Master Sergeant from the Air Force in 1994. He then went on to the trucking industry as an owner-operator for approximately 20 years. retiring from the trucking industry, he went on to do many things, including getting his Associates Degree in Computer Engineering, doing missionary work in Ghana, Africa, serving in the Texas State Guard for 1 year, working for CASA Court Appointed Special Advocates of Collin , being a church counselor, and working for land Security. He was never one to sit still for long. He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Maria Victoria Means; 3 children; Jason Means; Jeffrey Means and spouse, Jamie Means; Danielle Drissi-Means and spouse, Sal Drissi; 3 grandchildren; Myka, Dylan, and Chase; his sister, Darla Kerby; numerous brother-in-laws, sister-in-laws, nieces, nephews, and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents, Roland Mark Means and Doris Genevieve Birchler; sister, Sallie Kim Pennington, and sister, Kara Y. Means. The visitation will be held on , 27th, from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Charles W. Smith & Sons , 2925 5th St., Sachse, Texas 75048. Obituary: Darrell Means KELLER -- Darrell Means, 78, of Keller, TX, passed away on 14, 2015 following a long battle with Alzheimer's disease. All six of his daughters and wife were by his side in his final weeks. Service: Calling hours will begin at 1:00 PM on at Shannon Rufe Snow Chapel at 6001 Rufe Snow Drive Ft. Worth, TX. The funeral service will follow at 2:00 PM. Father Jerry Kittredge will be officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations in memory of Darrell be sent to the Alzheimer's Foundation of America(alzfdn.org). Darrell was born in Rothschild, WI on 5, 1936. He graduated from D.C. Everest High School in Rothschild, WI and continued his education at The Milwaukee School of Engineering, before joining the US Air Force in 1955. Darrell was married to Nathalie Mary Means (Grissman) on 21, 1956; they were happily married for 58 years. Darrell worked in Marketing Support at IBM for 30 years. He enjoyed technology, traveling, hunting, dancing, playing the accordion and guitar, and spending t time with his family and friends. Survivors: Darrell is survived by his wife Nathalie and children, Linda Kingman and husband Bill, Debbie Dolan and husband Bill, Lori Pratt and husband Richard, Julie Elmer and husband Dave, Kim White and husband Brad, Joy Kajiwara and husband Kevin; sixteen grandchildren and eleven great- grandchildren; his brother Rodney Means and wife Gwen and sister Ralene Cerise and husband Joe. Obituary: Charles E. Means, Sr. was a wise, generous and caring man who made an eternal impact on many. A beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend, Charles was born on 17, 1936 in Saltillo, Mississippi to Ralph and Mary Tanner Means. On 14, 2015, with his best friend and wife, Sherrille, nearby; Charles passed quickly of a stroke and went to be with the Lord at age 78. Charles graduated from high school in Japan and attended college at Mississippi State and the University of Houston. He married Sherrille Cockerill on 20, 1964. Charles and Sherrille celebrated their Fiftieth Wedding Anniversary this past .a fact he loved sharing with anyone who would listen. Charles served our country in the Army and spent most his career as a Technician at Texas Instruments. Charles enjoyed a simple life and felt blessed. He loved Jesus and adored his family. His interests included gardening, listening to great bluegrass, country, blues and gospel music; and especially, fishing for bass at Lake Fork. He had a fun sense of humor and a knack for figuring out how to fix just about anything. Charles was a respected man, strong yet tender, who went above and beyond to support family, friends and even special acquaintances. He showed people they were important and loved through his presence, practical assistance, guidance, cheering on, prayers, encouraging words, and generous, thoughtful gifts. He shared Christs love with many people in many ways. Charles best times were spent with his wife and family. He always said that his kids were the best thing that ever happened to him. He was so proud of his children and would do anything for them. As his family grew, his joy increased with the addition of his treasured grandchildren. Memories of life with Charles will be forever cherished by Sherrille, their children and their families: Ralph (of Aledo, TX), his wife, Audra, and daughter Delaney; Anne (of Flower Mound, TX), her husband, Cody, and sons Clayton, Jake and Brett; Charlie (of Frisco, TX), his wife, Kristi, and sons Charlie III and Chase. Charles is also survived by his sister, Ginger Read of Nashville, TN; sister, Betty Means of Plano; and his daughter from a previous marriage, Barbara Ehle and her children, Adriene, Phillip, Emma and Alaina. A memorial service in celebration of Charles life is being held at 1:00, , 20, 2015 at Ted Dickey West on President George Bush Turnpike, Dallas, TX.
