Obituary: Leona Fredia McNew, 87, of Hamilton , TX passed away , 18 at Dove Hill . services have been set for 2:00 P.M. , 22 at St. John Lutheran Church with Pastor Keith Reich officiating. Burial will follow in the St. Johns Lutheran in Priddy, TX. Leona was born 24, 1927 to Otto & Ida Spieker. The last of six children, all preceding her in death. Three sisters, Olga Roberts, Pauline Tiffin & Emma Burris. Two brothers, Adolph Spieker & Henry Spieker. Leona was preceded in death by her husband Oliver McNew in 1984. She is survived by two children, Kenneth McNew of Comanche & Charles McNew of Hamilton. Three grandchildren, William McNew & wife Emily of Comanche & Amy Akin & husband Chance of Comanche. Also grandson Mathew McNew & wife Robi of Cleburne. Two great grandchildren, Isabella McNew & Kadin Kenny. Leona is also survived by numerous nieces & nephews across Texas and New Mexico. She was a member of St. John Lutheran Church and spent her entire life in Hamilton . She was devoted to helping others. She worked many years as an LVN in the hospital. Bell, Amarillo, TX Allene was born 1st, 1926 to L. H. and Oneta Haisten in Clayton, New Mexico. She graduated from the Clayton High School in 1944. Allene married Mansell McNew of Turpin, Oklahoma in 1947. She worked for St. Anthonys Hospital in Amarillo for 5 years doing medical transcription. She passed the National Exam in 1967 as a Information Specialist, and became a member of Administrative Staff and Department Head of Medical Records-Statitics and Transcription, a total of 15 years at St. Anthonys and left that position in 1977. One year later she began working for The Bivins Memorial Skilled Facility, where she worked for approximately another 15 years as Training Coordinator, Safety Officer, and Information Specialist. retiring from Bivins, she worked another 5 years at the Coffee Memorial Blood of Amarillo as the Coordinator of Special Services. A total of 35 years in Services. Allene married Merle Callis in , 1999, who had been a friend of the family for many years. Allene was a volunteer at Northwest Village for 7 years, involved in music, playing and singing gospel music and bookkeeping. Allene was preceded in death by her parents, her, husbands Mansell McNew and Merle Callis a brother, Wyman Haisten, 3 sisters, Glenna Meadows, Helen Sartain, and Mary Haisten. McNett, 90, passed away , 4, 2011, in Nacogdoches, Texas.Memorial services will be held , 9, at 2:30 p.m. at Cason Monk-Metcalf Sunset Chapel, Nacogdoches.Roy was born in Gunsight, Texas, on 20, 1920. He was the son of Royal Clyde and Nellie Myrtle McNett. He and Anna Sue Williams were married on 21, 1941, in Wheeler , Texas, and together they shared almost 70 years of marriage. He attended West Texas State University and the Baylor University of Dentistry, from which he graduated with the degree of Doctor of Dental Surgery in 1944.Roy was a World War II and Korean War veteran, having served with distinction in the U.S. Navy aboard the USS CURTISS and the USS MIDWAY, as well as at duty stations in San Francisco, Bremerton, San Diego, Bethesda, Norfolk, Portsmouth, Corpus Christi, Panama, and Rota, Spain. While on the USS CURTISS he participated in Operations Castle and Bravo, which were H-bomb tests at Eniwetok and the island of Bikini. He retired after 33 years of service with the rank of Captain, US Naval Dental Corps. He was a member of the American Legion Post #0086 and a Mason with Milam Lodge #2 in Nacogdoches. his retirement he continued to practice dentistry in Wellington, Texas, where he also raised cattle and horses. He was an accomplished carpenter, and seemed to always have some kind of home construction project going on that typically involved the whole family, whether they wanted to be involved or not. He was also an avid hunter and fisherman, and he dearly loved to read, to play cards and dominoes, and to listen to good music. He enjoyed being with and teasing his family and friends, and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.Roy was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters, Rowena Hughes and Juanita Wagner.He is survived by his loving wife, Sue McNett of Nacogdoches; daughter, Christine Hoskins and husband Don of Nacogdoches; daughter, Marilyn Hill and husband Jim of Elgin, Texas; son, Roy C. McNett Jr. and wife Jane of Rio Dulce, Guatemala; son, Judd McNett and wife Joan of Nacogdoches; 12 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren.The family wishes to express their thanks to Dr. Richard Baker, Magnolia Court Assisted Living, Cecil R. Obituary: Patricia Jane Flaherty McNerney, 80, passed away peacefully on , 24, 2015 after a short illness. Patricia was preceded in death by her parents Patrick Flaherty and his wife Delia Gallagher Flaherty, both of whom were from Ireland and her siblings Ellen, Billy, John and Bernard. She is survived by her beloved husband Richard P. McNerney, her son Timothy McNerney and his wife Erin and granddaughter Ellie; daughter Bridget McNerney; her elder sister Mary, and a very large extended family. Patricia was born and raised in Lowell, MA. She graduated high school from Keith Hall and received her nursing degree from Catherine Labouré School of in Dorchester, MA. Her interest in exploring the world led her to a career in the Air Force. She received a degree from the School of Aerospace Medicine in 1965 as a flight nurse and served during the Vietnam War in the Philippines. She was recognized for her many accomplishments during her time of active duty and was awarded the Air Force Commendation Medal. She left the Air Force with the rank of Captain. Patricia called Houston home since 1970 where she raised a family and lived the rest of her life. She is a cherished member of the larger McNerney family. She never met a child/ a niece/a nephew, grand niece/nephew/ grandchild, great-grand nephew or niece that she didn love. Her legacy of unconditional love is a model for us all to live up to. To many she was Patricia, Teasie, PJ, Aunt Pat, Nano, Mom, and Mimi. To all she was a friend who will be deeply missed. She never made a long story short and no one was a stranger for long. She was a good person with a great heart, a wonderful sense of humor, and an ability to light up a room.
