Obituary: Frisco- Thomas Allen McGuire, age 46, of Frisco, Texas peacefully went to his heavenly home 28th, 2012. Allen was born in Carbondale, Illinois on 26, 1966 to Charles Thomas McGuire and Melanie McGuire. Allen attended school and spent his younger years in Amarillo, Texas where he made many lifelong friends whom he loved dearly. He told of many happy times spent with them. Allen graduated from Texas A&M University, West Texas. On 4, 1999 Allen married Shanna Peratta. Shanna and Allen made their home in Van Alstyne, Texas for the first seven years of their marriage. During this time, they spent many fond moments with their neighbors. In 2006, Shanna and Allen moved to Frisco, Texas. Once, again, they made many friends in their neighborhood. Allen never met a stranger and was loved by all. Allen was employed by Liberty Mutual Insurance . He was dedicated to his work and an exemplary employee. He loved his job and the people he worked with. Allen loved his dogs, time at the lake on his boat and all of the friends he made there. He had an amazing, kind heart. Allen fought a long battle with cancer and he did it with class and dignity every step of the way. He will be truly missed by all especially by his beloved wife Shanna. Allen is survived by his wife Shanna Peratta McGuire, his mother Melanie McGuire, his father Charles Thomas McGurie, his grandparents Harriet and Charles McGuire and a host of family members. Obituary: Terry McGuire, Deputy Imperial Potentate of Shriners International, 73, passed away , 11, 2009, with his wife, Charlene and family members by his side. McGuire was known for his intelligence, ambition and determination. He spent 32 years in public school education as teacher, Vice-Principal, Principal, and Assistant Superintendent. His most memorable time was opening and serving as principal of John Jay High School in 1967 which was San Antonios largest high school at that time. He earned a doctorate in education from Texas A&M University. Before retirement, he worked as a director of marketing and facility planner for one of the oldest and largest architectural firms in San Antonio, specializing in education and health care facilities. McGuire was very active in the community and often served in leadership roles. He served as a board member of the Northwest YMCA, and was a member of the San Antonio Executive Association and the Harp and Shamrock Society. He was a life-member of the San Antonio Livestock Association. McGuire was currently serving his 12th year as a member of the Board of Directors for Shriners International and Shriners Hospitals for Children. As Deputy Imperial Potentate, part of the 13-member body that helps govern the Shriners fraternity, he was slated to serve as Imperial Potentate of Shriners International – the highest rank in the Shriners fraternity – from 2009-2010. He was a longtime chairman of the Salary, Personnel and Retirement Committee for Shriners Hospitals for Children and was serving as chairman of the Building and Equipment and the Budget Committees. He had served as an emeritus member of the Houston Shriners Hospital Board of Governors and as treasurer and chairman of the Finance Committee. McGuire was raised as a Master Mason in 1958 and was a member of the Triune Lodge #15. He served as Master of the Lodge in 1997 and was a District Deputy Grand Master in 2000. He was a member of the York Rite, 32nd Degree Knight Commander of the Court of Honor of Scottish Rite, Past Director of the Jesters, Past President of Cabiri, Past President of the Order of Quetzalcoatl, and a Past Potentate of Alzafar Shriners. He was the First President of the Texas Shrine Golf Assocation, and a Past President of Alzafar Golf Unit. For the past 25 years, McGuire had served as a representative to the Imperial Council. He had served as chairman of the Dispensations and Charters Committee, and as vice-chairman of the Imperial Marshal Aides Committee. In 2008, he was invited into membership in the St. Anthony Conclave, Red Cross of Constantine, and received his 50-year pin from the Grand Lodge of Texas. He was preceded in death by his parents, Howard and Muriel McGuire. He is survived by his wife, Charlene Stuart McGuire; daughter, Janice Lynn McGuire; son, Patrick Stuart McGuire and wife, Debra Ann; grandchildren, Morgan Elaine, Lindsey Kate, Lensey Ann, and Caleb Edward. Obituary: Robert B. McGuire, Sr. (Bob), 70, passed away 1, 2017. He was born on 12, 1946 in West Point, NY to the late Bernard McGuire and Irene Leach McGuire. Bob is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Carmen; sons Robert B. McGuire, Jr., Corpus Christi, TX; Patrick J. McGuire, Bastrop, TX; grandchildren, Joseph Dee, Mara Rose, Caleb Anthony, Caitlin Amber, Liam Patrick, Ian Michael; brother Charles F. McGuire of Victoria, TX; and daughter-in-laws Donna Renee and Teri. In addition to his parents Bob was preceded in death by his brother Patrick J. McGuire. He was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. Bob started working by the age of 12 years delivering the Peekskill Evening Star. Over the next 58 years he worked as laborer, carpenter, supervisor and ultimately Sr. Civil Engineer for Formosa Plastics Corp where he would retire in May of 2011. He shared his dedicated work ethic with his family and anyone who would receive it. His walk in faith progressed through time but at some point looking back at the blessings of his life, he knew that he was surrounded by the love of Christ, so he gave his life to Christ in baptism. His faith never wavered and continued to grow until his passing. Family and friends will gather to honor Bob at a Memorial Service on , 13, 2017 at 6:00 pm at the Central church of Christ, Victoria, TX with a reception to follow. A Celebration of Life will be held on , 15, 2017 at 2:00 pm at the Victoria Womens Clubhouse, Victoria, TX. If you have any photos of Bob, please bring them to the Celebration of Life to share with the family. Obituary: Rebecca “Becky” McGuire entered the Lord’s presence on 12, 2014. She was born on 28, 1930 in a log cabin in Milburn, Oklahoma to Clifford C. Moon and Nillie Ann Van Huss Moon. Becky and her family moved to Dallas, Texas in 1945 and attended Adamson High School and graduated from Ardmore High School in Oklahoma. Becky married the love of her life, Robert McGuire on 12, 1948. In the next 6 years they were blessed with four daughters, Becky, Janet, Jeanie and Nillie. made their home in Kleberg, Texas and were members of First Baptist Church of Kleberg. Becky was a School Teacher, Youth Leader and was a lifelong friend to many of the church. While raising her children, she attended Draughn’s Business School and utilized her degree in office management and retired from Dillard’s Department Store in 1991. During her years at Dillard’s, Becky received numerous merit awards acknowledging her achievements in quarterly sales. retiring, Becky and Robert enjoyed camping and fishing and spending time with their family. Becky was preceded in death by her loving husband Robert of 49 years, and were reunited on their 66th wedding anniversary, her parents Clifford and Nillie Moon, sister Sarah Francis Mullins, 3 brothers, Oscar, J.T. and John Moon. She is survived by her four daughters, Becky Respess and husband Sandy, Janet Lindsey and Tom Lindsey, Jeanie Dobbie and husband Stuart, and Nillie Johns and husband Charles. Becky is also survived by seven wonderful grandchildren, who blessed her by giving her ten precious great grandchildren. Also surviving her are her sisters, Sylvia Ramzey, Bobbie Glaze and brother-in-law Ben Glaze, and numerous nieces and nephews.
