Obituary: Otila Martinez age 91 of Port Arthur passed away on , 20, 2014 at Harbor Hospice House in Beaumont. Otila was born on 7, 1923 in Lopeno, Texas to Felipe and Florinda Rosas Lopez. She was a 63 year resident of Port Arthur and a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Maria Delaluz Martinez; and husband Gregorio Martinez, Jr. in 2010. She is survived by her sons, Jaime Martinez of Port Arthur, Juan D. and wife Adela Martinez of Beaumont; daughters, Maria Idolina Aldaiz and Dora Emma and husband Alfonso Martinez both of Port Arthur, Elisa Martinez of Deer Park, Delia (Dee) and husband Santos Picacio of Kempner; brother, Santiago and wife Ofilia Lopez of Laredo; 15 grandchildren, 29 great grandchildren, 15 great great grandchildren and 1 great great great grandchild. The family would like to express their sincere thanks to Harbor Hospice for the care and compassion that was given to our mother and family members. A gathering of family and friends will be held , 23, 2014 from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m., with a Rosary to be recited at 6 p.m. at Grammier-Oberle . A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m. , 24, 2014 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. Obituary: Our Beloved Father, Son, Brother, Fiance', & Brother in Arms; Oscar R Martinez was called to ride into the roads of eternal glory with Our Heavenly Father. Oscar R. Martinez 55, passed from this world on 13, 2013. Oscar was born 27, 1958 in San Angelo. He grew up in San Angelo and graduated from Lakeview High School. Sgt. Martinez served in the US Army within the 82nd Airborne division for four years involved in assignments in Grenada, Cairo, and Turkey, among others. being honorably discharged He returned to San Angelo working for Ethicon for 31 years. He had retired May 31, 2013. Oscar loved motorcycles and was a founding member of original Huesos Cruzados MC. Mr. Martinez was preceded in death by his father Daniel P. Martinez. Oscar is survived by his Mother Senaida R. Martinez, his daughter Naya Martinez and sons Charles and Joshua Martinez; He had five grandchildren Anthony, Maddie, Liam, Damian and Micah with other survivors including his sisters Esperanza Trejo, Sylvia Martinez, Dahlia Stewart, Eva Garcia and Linda Gonzales. He is eternally loved and honored by his fiancé Sara G. Serna, who shared in his passion of motorcycling. Pallbearers will be his nephews: Michael Alverado, Billy Pruitt, Nicholas Navarro, Anthony Trejo, Andrew Garcia, and Rick Hurst. Obituary: Oralia Martinez, age 52, of San Antonio passed away on , 10, 2004. she graduated salutatorian from Sidney Lanier High School, she pursued a higher education and graduated with honors from Our Lady of the Lake in 1975 with a degree in education. Her studies included intensive course work at the Universite de Paris a la Sorbonne, where she received advanced credentials in French. She began her career at Collier Elementary and Leal Middle School and continued as the French and Spanish teacher at Harlandale High School. Her teaching career spanned twenty-nine years, where she touched many lives in the Harlandale community. Her sharp wit and fun loving personality will be missed by all those who love her. She was preceded in death by her parents, Reyes and Elodia Martinez. She is survived by her husband, Norberto W. Martinez, Jr.; daughter, Imelda Gema Martinez; sister, Irma Isaac and husband, Frank Isaac; brother, Reyes Martinez, Jr. and wife, Irene Martinez; nieces, Sonia Zulay Isaac, Magda Angelica Farias, and Amanda Norma Isaac; and best friend, Rosalia Zepeda. Obituary: Ophilia Cruz Martinez, 73, of Richwood, Texas departed from this life and began her heavenly life, as God opened his arms to receive her on , 11, 2016; after 52 years of marriage to the day. Born on 21, 1943 in Mackey, Texas to Constancio and Tomasa Cruz; she was raised in Velasco, Texas and graduated from Brazosport High School in 1962. On 11, 1964, Ophilia married Anastacio George Rocky Martinez, Jr. at St. Henrys Catholic Church in Freeport, Texas. Ophilia was well known in the community for her talents of crafting and being an expert seamstress, along with operating a home daycare for over forty years, caring for many children whom she loved and raised as her own. Each child can attest of the special bond they had with her which continued into adulthood. Throughout her life, she was aware of the importance of volunteering and making a difference where there was a need beginning as a charter member of the Freeport Boys Club now known as the Freeport Boys and Girls Club. As she raised her family, she was involved in teaching Catholic education at St. Marys and St. Henrys Catholic churches in Freeport and St. Jeromes in Clute. She was also active in the Freeport Little League, Clute Little League and Clute Teenage Baseball organizations. Later in her life, she was a volunteer on the Richwood Beautification Committee, a Board Member of Habitat of Humanity and taught English at the International Friends Club of the First Baptist Church in Lake Jackson and even taught classes in her own home when there was a need. Ophilia was preceded in death and will join her parents, Constancio and Tomasa Cruz, her sisters, Mary Helen Cruz and Suse Ramirez and her daughter-in-law, Christine Roerden Martinez. Left to cherish her memory, her beloved husband Anastacio George Rocky Martinez Jr. and her sons, Martin A. Martinez (Amy Saulters) of Clute, Texas and Matthew A. Martinez of Baumholder, Germany, sister, Eva Santos of Richwood, Texas, and brothers, David (Sulema) Cruz of Beaumont, California and numerous family members and friends. Visitation will be held on , 16, 2016 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Restwood . services will be held , 17, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. at Restwood , with a graveside to follow at Restwood Memorial Park. Serving as Pallbearers will be David Resuriz, Lane Tobola, David Cruz, Rumaldo Sanchez, Zachary Wintjen, and Bryson Wintjen.
