Obituary: Jesse T. Martinez, born 17, 1956 passed away on May 7, 2015 at the age of 59 after a short illness. Jesse served in the Navy toward the end of the Vietnam War. He enjoyed fishing, bingo, BBQs, spending time with family and friends. He enjoyed a good joke and told many himself, bringing about the captivating smile he had. In his quiet time he listened to Gospel and contemporary Christian music in English and Spanish. Generally living a private life, he disclosed only certain things to certain people. His recent actions toward family and friends demonstrated the great love he had in his heart, it was also his way of letting his siblings know his life was coming to an end. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him, as he now peacefully rests in his Fathers arms. Jesse was preceded in death by his loving parents Jesus and Gregoria Martinez, his paternal and maternal grandparents and several aunts and uncles. He is survived by his son Jesse Michael Martinez and daughters Cassandra and Deandra Martinez; by his siblings Arnold (Erlinda) Martinez, Yolanda (Richard) Rodriguez, Mary Olga (Lazaro) Calvillo, Elizabeth Olivares, Richard (Linda) Martinez, Mary Alice (Paul) Duran and Laura Grace (Hipolito) Munguia, 17 nephews and nieces, 20 great-nephews and nieces, several aunts, uncles and cousins. A Visitation will be held on , May 14, 2015 from 4:00 P.M. to 9:00 p.m. with a Rosary at 7:00 p.m. that same evening at Corpus Christi . A Mass will be celebrated on , May 15, 2015 at 9:30 a.m. at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church with Interment will follow at Coastal Bend State Veterans . Jesses siblings extend a grateful thank you to the entire staff at the McAllen Hospital for the loving care they gave to our beloved brother, also a thank you to all who joined in prayer during Jesses illness. Obituary: Jerry Martinez of Helotes, TX, age 58 passed away , 1, 2006. Jerry lived his entire life in San Geronimo, TX. He was an avid fisherman and hunter and a shrewd businessman. He took over the family business PeteÂs Place and then went into the construction business with his father and brother-in-law in 1976. When he wasn working or being boss he would be looking for a  rout slick in his favorite apparel ÂColumbia Wear in Port Mansfield. He was a collector of antiques from furniture to fishing lures. Along the way Jerry made many friends. He was always ready to offer advice in doing it his way. Jerry loved to cook for a crowd on a grill, or a campfire. These cookouts led to many a business deal, a tall tale, and a good laugh. Jerry was a very active member of the CCA and Alamo Sector of Quail Unlimited and long time supporter of 4-H and Ag Youth programs. He was preceded in death by his mother, Margaret Martinez and father, Latto V. Martinez. Jerry is survived by his wife of 30 years, Danielle; two daughters, Erica and Kaitlyn; sister Linda Murry and husband D. A. ; sister Teresa McDaniel and husband Doug; nieces and nephews Kevin, James, Paul Murry, Doug McDaniel, Tina McDaniel and Kenny Rettko, numerous great nieces and nephews; sister-in-law, Alice Rettko and husband Kenny; mother-in-law, Mary Lou Haby. |

Obituary: Javier C. Martinez, age 61, passed away on , 10, 2012 after a courageous battle with cancer. He was born in Mexico and came to the United States at the age of 13. He lived the American Dream. Javier successfully owned and operated a productive and profitable flooring business in San Antonio for over 35 years. He was a Mason, an avid hunter, a car enthusiast, and lived his life to the fullest. He is preceded in death by his beloved mother, Alicia C. Martinez. He is survived by his loving wife of 41 years, Mary Ann Martinez, his caring children: Javier Martinez Jr. (Michelle); Veronica Trevino and Reynaldo Martinez; grandchildren: Vivian, Ylianna, Juan and Dorian; his father, Reynaldo F. Martinez; brothers: Reynaldo, Federico, Jose Luis; sisters: Martha and Sandra; numerous other family members and friends. Javier will be remembered as a warm-hearted man, a loving father, a caring husband, intelligent brother and a thoughtful and caring son.
