Obituary: Irene U. Martinez, 84 of San Angelo, went to be with her Lord and Savior on , Oct. 17, 2014. She was born on 15, 1930 in Alpine, Texas to Cruz Uranga and Natividad T. Uranga. Rosary service will be 7:00 p.m. , 24, 2014 at Johnsons Chapel. Mass of Christian Burial will be 9:00 a.m. , 25, 2014 at St. Marys Catholic Church with Fr. Joey Faylona officiating. Burial will follow at Lawnhaven Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be Khristopher Martinez, Michael Martinez, Charles Martinez, Wyatt Ozbun, Clayton Martinez, and Freddie Perales. First and foremost, Irene loved her Lord. Irene finished elementary school, but she had to end her education to help the family. She worked in the agricultural field until she got married. Then she raised her kids and grandchildren. While helping with her grandkids, she also worked as a child care provider. Irene was preceded in death by her parents, Cruz Uranga and Natividad T. Uranga, husband Jose K. Martinez, and siblings Jimmy Uranga and Enedina Rodriguez. Survivors are siblings: Eva Gutierrez (Jesus) of San Angelo and Adam (Lucy) Uranga of Fort Worth, TX; children: Rockey J. Martinez (Kathy) of San Jacinto, CA, Rodney J. Martinez (Esther) and Randy J. Martinez, all of Ark City, KS, Roger J. Martinez of Bronx, NY, Diana M. Martinez (Marvin) and Debbie R. Perales (Mando), all of San Angelo; Rockeys children: Khristopher J. Martinez, Michael B. Martinez, Charles R. Martinez, and Elizabeth D. Martinez; Randys children: Juanita Martinez and Clayton Martinez; Rogers children: Jessica Martinez and Chavez Martinez; Dianas children: James W. Obituary: Irene Mina Martinez of Victoria went to be with our Lord and Savior , 4, 2014. She was born 7, 1948, in Falfurrias to Santiago Rodriguez and the late Lilly G. Gonzalez. She is survived by the love of her life for 50 years, her husband, Julian Martinez, Jr. of Victoria; her son, Michael Alen (Jaime) Martinez of Austin; her father, Santiago Rodriguez of Bishop; grandson, Zachery Julian Martinez of San Antonio; 3 granddaughters, Amanda Martinez of Victoria, Azura Sky and Violet Star of Austin; great-grandson, Michael Julian and great-granddaughter, Mandy Ray Ortiz; two sisters, Esther Brown and Hopie (Henry) Molina of Victoria; brother, Msgt. Santiago (Elizabeth) Rodriguez of Alamogordo, New Mexico; daughter-in-law, Nora Ramos Martinez of San Antonio. In addition to her mother she was preceded in death by her beloved son, Julian Martinez III. The family will receive friends at 1:00 pm on , 7, 2014. A prayer service will follow at 6:00 pm and a Rosary will be recited at 7:00 pm. services will be at 1:00 pm , 8, 2014, at Holy Trinity Chapel. Burial will follow at Thomaston .
