Obituary: Rex Kyler Martin, Jr. entered into the greater presence of the Lord on , 29, 2013. He was born in San Antonio, TX on 23, 1929. His parents who preceded him in death were Marguerite Whitley Martin and Rex Kyler Martin, Sr. He is survived by Ellen Rotsch Martin, his wife of 57 years, three children, Danya Martin Kieval and Richard A. Kieval of Houston, TX; Rex Kyler Martin, III and Sandra Hamm Martin of Bulverde, TX; and Alison Martin Hyde and William Craig Hyde of Cypress, TX. Rex is survived by seven grandchildren, which include, Rebekah Erin, Joseph Kyler and Jennie Ellen Kieval; Frances Paige and Ian Andrew Martin; William Connor and Mary Alice Hyde. Rex is also survived by his sister, Patricia Martin Younts of San Antonio and her two daughters, Laura Ellen Arnold and Pam Younts Sternadel and their families. Rex was an active member of St. Marks Episcopal Church, a member of The Good Samaritan Board and a volunteer at the Christian Assistance Ministry. As his children grew, Rex was a Cub Scout leader, a member of Girl Scout Camping Board and a member of the Indian Guides. He was the founding leader of the Leatherslappers 4-H Club in Bexar and was honored as an outstanding leader in the state. Rex served four years in the United States Air Force prior to graduating with a degree in Engineering from the University of Texas in Austin. many years in civil service in the engineering departments of both military and private businesses, he became the sole owner of Martin Engineering, Inc. He retired in 1999. His family wishes to give loving thanks to the nurses and staff of the Memory Unit at the Frank M. Tejeda Veterans in Floresville, TX. provided him with care, devotion and safety during his two years of residency. A family memorial service will be held on , 3, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. at St. Marks Episcopal Church in San Antonio. In lieu of flowers, Rexs family requests donations be made to The Willard E. Obituary: Colleyville, TX Reginald Zan Martin "Reggie" age 81 - Did It His Way. He passed away on 22, 2014 with the help of God, after a stroke suffered on 6, 2014. Reggie was an only child born to Zan and Ethel Martin of Wolfe City, Texas on 11, 1933. He attended school and graduated from Wolfe City High School. He attended college at East Texas State, in Commerce, Texas, now part of Texas A&M. He served in the Navy before moving to Odessa, Texas where he began his career in the oil and gas Industry with Dungan Supply before going to work for Gardner Denver. Gardner Denver transferred him to Dallas, Texas where he began his rather colorful career as a salesman. Reggie spent 53 years in sales to the oil and gas Industry. His last company was Fonda Enterprises which he and his wife had fun running side by side together....he did the talking and she did the paperwork. Obituary: Raymond Charles Martin, 90, passed away , Feb. 11, 2011. : 3:30 p.m. in Moore Memorial Chapel. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Raymond was born Dec. 17, 1920, in Brooklyn, N.Y., to Charles and Rose Chestnut Martin. He was a World War II and Korean War veteran, retiring as a captain after 20 years of service in the U.S. Army. He retired from the Burns Detective Agency and the Dallas Time Herald. Raymond was an ordained deacon of the Korean-American Church. For the past 15 years he attended First United Methodist Church of Arlington and was treasurer of the Aldergate School Class. Raymond also was involved with the Masons, Shriners, Scottish Rite, American Rifleman Association, Widowed Persons Organization and various hunting and fishing clubs. He was preceded in death by his wife of 47 years, Lorene; two brothers; and one sister. Survivors: Special friend, Jo Shelton; nieces, Dorothy Lewis, Nancy Schaefer (James), Sandra Bentz (Peter), Rose Ellan and Francis McCarty (Larry); and nephews, Bruce Shields (Judy), Terry Slaughter (Anko), Joe Mullins (Mary) and Michael Alexander (Connie). |
