Obituary: Anne Marie Martin, 90, passed away peacefully on 17, 2015. Anne was born on 11, 1925 in Houston, TX to Isaiah and Nancy Ann Payne. She is survived by her daughter, Barbara Binckley and husband Richard; step-sons, James Marion Martin and Jesse Michael Martin; 7 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; 6 siblings; and numerous nieces and nephews; Anne is preceded in death by her parents, her husband of nearly 38 years, Jonathon Moses "Mo" Martin; her daughter, Donna Janette Cady; 4 siblings and 1 grandchild. Obituary: Anna Lee Martin went to be with her Lord and Savior 17th. She was born 28th, 1922 to Charles Robert Norris and Mary D. Griffith Norris in Breckenridge Texas. Ms. Martin is preceded in death by both her parents, four brothers and one sister, Gene, Bob, Charlie, Don and Bernice, her husband of 27 years Harold Martin, and her only child Marlen Scott Curry Jr. Mammy leaves behind a daughter in-law Rita Curry, a granddaughter Michelle Ream, a grandson Vince Curry, six great grandchildren, and seven great great grandchildren all from Midland. Obituary: Anna Ruth Caufman Martin, age 95, formerly of Lakeway and Austin, Texas died , 1, 2014 in Fredericksburg, Texas. Anna was born on 7, 1919 in Gallipolis, Ohio to Walter Lee and Clara (Sommers) Caufman, her being the sixth of their seven children, all who have preceded her in death. On 27, 1937, Anna married her high school sweetheart, Robert H. Martin and they began a long life in the oil business with the Texas , Texaco and Chevron that took them all over the world looking for oil. many adventures and much success they retired in Lakeway in 1979 with many of their lifetime friends. In 2001, they joined old and new friends at Westminster Manor in Austin. Mother said, It was like living on a cruise ship! In 2006, Bob passed away after 69 years with Anna. In 2011, Anna moved to Fredericksburg to be near her daughter. She is survived by her children, Robert H. Martin, Jr. and his wife, Katherine of Boulder, Colorado, and William L. Martin of Denver, Colorado and by Susan Boessling of Fredericksburg, Texas; granddaughter, Julie Darrow and husband, Joe; and her great-granddaughter, Catherine Darrow, all of Boulder, Colorado. Obituary: NORTH RICHLAND HILLS -- Ann Mary Martin, beloved wife, mother and friend, passed away , Dec. 29, 2010. Mass: 11 a.m. at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church in Keller. Interment: 2 p.m. in Shannon Rose Hill in Fort Worth. Rosary: 2 p.m. at Shannon Rufe Snow Chapel, with visitation to follow until 4 p.m. Memorials: In lieu of flowers, Ann wished that memorials be made in the form of book donations to the Watauga Public Library or St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic School. Ann was born Nov. 17, 1941, in Wyandotte, Mich., the eldest child of Elmer Kreft and Ann Mary Aiuto. A devout Catholic, Ann turned to the religious life following high school, professing her solemn vows as a member of the Adrian Dominican Sisters in Adrian, Mich. While there she earned a bachelors degree from Siena Heights University and did graduate work in library science at Western Michigan University. She later taught at elementary schools in the Detroit area. In 1970, after performing service to God as a sister for 12 years, Ann left the Adrian Dominican order to pursue other life opportunities. She continued to teach, including serving five years as principal of St. Suzanne School in Detroit. In 1977, she met and married the love of her life, James Martin. In 1981, following the birth of the couples two daughters, the family moved from Michigan to Texas, settling in Watauga. From 1983 to 1988 Ann helped start the Watauga Public Library, becoming its first childrens librarian. In 1986 Ann moved to North Richland Hills, where she would spend the rest of her life. She was a librarian for many years in the Birdville Independent School District, first at Holiday Heights Elementary School and later at Richland High School. She retired in 2001, shortly before being diagnosed with breast cancer, a battle she fought bravely for nine years. Of all her endeavors, Ann said that her favorite was being a wife, mother and Omanona to three beautiful grandsons. Survivors: Her loving husband of 33 years, James; brother, Gus Kreft of Trenton, Mich.; daughters, Angela McCulley and husband, Doug, of Coppell and Lori Rodriguez and husband, Erik, of Irving; grandsons Lucas, Alex and Austin; and sister, Gloria of South Carolina. under the direction of Shannon Rufe Snow Drive Chapel, Fort Worth, TX. |
