Obituary: Doris Marschall, 86, of San Angelo, passed away on , 12, 2015 in Big Spring, Texas. She was born to the late, Grady Hendry Gantt and Laura Rebecca Crossland Gantt on , 19, 1929 in ODonnell, Texas. Doris married her first husband, Don Chambers on 15, 1950 in Dalhart, Texas. remained friends after their divorce. She worked for many years as a bookkeeper with Jones, Hay, Marschall & McKinney in San Angelo. She married Cody Marschall in 1985 in Kerrville, Texas. Doris enjoyed dancing, especially at the American Legion. She also enjoyed swimming, boating and fishing at the lake as well as spending time outdoors camping and hunting. Her independent streak, strong will and big heart were obvious as she raised orphaned goats that ranchers brought to her. Neighbor children could often be found in her trees or in her kitchen. She will always be remembered for her joy and happiness and will be missed greatly by all who knew and loved her. Doris is preceded in death by her parents; both husbands; grandson, Alexander Chambers; and five siblings, Helen Farmer, Shan Heard, Hendry Gantt, Darrell Gantt and Mary Eason. Survivors include her sons, Don Chambers and wife, Mildred, and Dennis Chambers; grandchildren, Ashlyn, Dakota and Gerin Chambers; siblings, Joe Gantt and Peggy Fiest; numerous nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives and friends. There will be an open time of visitation on , 18, 2015 for friends and family to pay respects and sign the guestbook at Johnsons . services will be held at 10:00 AM, , 19, 2015 in the Johnsons Chapel, San Angelo. Darren Weaver of Forsan, Texas will officiate. Graveside services will follow at 4:00 PM in the Harper Community in Harper, Texas. Obituary: Molly Jean (Cross) Marsalis, 81, of Corpus Christi, TX, was called home to Heaven on , 8, 2015 surrounded by her family at Bay Area Hospital in Corpus Christi, TX. She was born on Dec. 20, 1933 in Herpel, Arkansas to Walter Cross & Clara (Condrey) Cross. She was married Dec. 22, 1950 to Dan Marsalis, Jr. in San Benito, Texas. She is preceded in death by her husband Dan, son Sam Marsalis, son-in-law Larry Holloway and granddaughter Holly Kay Holloway. She is survived by daughters Donna Holloway, Anita Russell (Stephen), son David Marsalis, daughter-in-law Mary Marsalis, nine grandchildren and eighteen great grandchildren. She is also survived by her loving sister Rae Bright. Her love and devotion to her family and church was the cornerstone of her life. Her love was often displayed in her gardening, crafts, and even cooking for the ones she cherished. Her care and affection was strongly felt by her attentiveness to other people’s well-being. Her resilient spirit and steadfast will to her beliefs kept her strong, loving, and devoted to her autistic son, David. Services will be held 13, 2015 at 2:00p.m. at Memory Gardens . |

Obituary: Jessie Corine Mars, 96, passed away , 28, 2016,in McGregor, Texas. services will be 2 pm , 1, 2016, at Liberty Hill Baptist Church of Moody. The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 pm, , 30, 2016, at Cole Chapel in Moody. Mrs. Mars was born 23, 1919 to William H. and Mary Stephens Dowell in Moody, Texas. She was a longtime resident of Moody and a homemaker. Jessie was a faithful member of Liberty Hill Baptist Church. She married the love of her life, James Riley (Jimmy) Mars on 6, 1940, in Moody. Jimmy passed away 1, 2003. Jessie was also preceded in death by her parents, seven sisters and three brothers. Jessie leaves behind to cherish her memories, sons, James Dowell Mars and wife, Paula, of Eddy, and Jerry Don Mars and wife, Betty, of Mount Calm; grandchildren, Kim Mahlstedt and husband, Scott, Sherri Gibson and husband, Andy, Matthew Mars and wife, Beth, Natalie Sheridan and husband, Richard, and Mona Campbell and husband, Marc; eight great-grandchildren and one great- great-grandchild.
