Obituary: Juliana Marquez, 95, of Odessa, Texas, formerly of Chihuahua, Chihuahua, Mexico has now entered Our Heavenly Kingdom in the loving arms of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Juliana Marquezs passing over took place on 25, 2016, at Medical Hospital in Odessa, Texas. Born on 6, 1920 in Chihuahua, Mexico, she is predeceased by her Husband Afredo Marquez, Her parents, Eziquio Loya and Rosario Loera of Chihuahua, Mexico, her sons Guadalupe Marquez, 16, of Chihuahua, Mexico, and Socorro Marquez, 69, of Odessa, Texas. Juliana was as well predeceased by 3 other children ranging from 9 months to 5 years of age. Juliana joined her husband, Alfredo, in the emigration from Chihuahua, Mexico to United States in 1979. She was a very beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother, sister and dear friend who was a great gardener and loved to fill her garden with beautiful flowers. Survivors include her daughter Amalia Loya, sons Jesus Marquez and Alejandro Marquez, and granddaughter whom she raised as her own, Aracely Loya, all of Odessa Texas; son Jose Alfredo Marquez of Chihuahua, Mexico and Exiquio Marquez of Florida. She is also survived by 18 grandchildren, 35 great-grandchildren, and 16 great-great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends. Visitation will be held today 28, 2016 from 8am to 9pm at Odessa Chapel with a Rosary being recited on at 7:00 pm in the chapel. As a devout Catholic that Juliana was Mass will be celebrated at 10am , 29, 2016 at St. Josephs Catholic Church 907 S Dixie, Odessa, Texas with Interment to follow at Ector , The Rosehill Garden Section. Services by Odessa . Pallbearers will be: Joaquin Marquez, Victor Hugo Marquez, Manuel Loya Jr., Guadalupe Loya, Jesus Marquez Jr., and Alfredo Giovanni Alvarado. Obituary: Mass of the Christian Burial for Jose Mercedes Marquez, 75, of Lufkin, will be celebrated at 2:00 p.m. , 4, 2016 at St. Patrick Catholic Church, with Father Reymundo Garcia, M. S., celebrant. Interment will follow in the Hillcrest . Rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. evening in the Oakley-Metcalf Chapel, with the family receiving friends and loved ones from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Mr. Marquez was born 24, 1940 in Mexico, the son of the late Esther (Contreras) and Jose Conception. He passed away , May 31, 2016 in a local hospital. Mr. Marquez was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He loved his grandchildren and enjoyed spending time with them. He attended St. Patrick Catholic Church. Mr. Marquez will be missed by all who knew him. Survivors include his wife of 53 years, Atanacia Marquez of Lufkin; sons and daughters-in-law, Daniel and Zulema Meza of Lufkin, Mario and Isabel Marquez of Weslaco, and Jose and Maricela Marquez of Progresso; son, Jose Santos of McAllen; daughter, Elsa Marquez of Lufkin; daughters and sons-in-law, Maria and Jorge Ocon of Dallas and Isabel and Juan Torres of Lufkin; son and daughter-in-law, Domingo and Lourdes Marquez of Lufkin; daughter, Maria Marquez of Lufkin; brother, Antonio Marquez of Mexico; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, and other family members. In addition to his parents, Mr. Marquez was preceded in death by his sons, Jose Mercedes Marquez, Jr., Juan Jose Marquez and Guadalupe Marquez. Pallbearers will be Domingo Marquez, Jose Marquez, Daniel Meza, Juan Torres, Jorge Ocon and Abraham Ocon. Services are in the care of Oakley-Metcalf |

Obituary: Jose Marquez was born 17, 1933 in Jalisco, Mexico, the son of the late Ramon Marquez and the late Juana Macias. He entered into rest on 16, 2015 in Dallas, TX. He was raised in El Rodeo Jalisco, where he grew up among his brothers and sisters. In Jalisco, Jose worked on a farm along with his parents, taking care of the livestock and planting produce. A few years later he met the love of his life Maria De La Paz Belmonte. She was the first woman he laid eyes on and they eventually married. Jose and Maria had 11 children. Sadly, however, their youngest child, Osvaldo Marquez, passed away at age 2. Jose wanted a better life for his children. Therefore, along with his wife, he crossed The Rio Grande with his children in his arms. The family settled in Dallas, TX, and started a new home. In Dallas, Jose and Maria found jobs at American Iron & Metal . Jose loved to tend to his yard, cook breakfast, whistle during the day, and watch his favorite TV show El Chavo del 8. He wholeheartedly cherished his big family, nieces and nephews, and staying connected with his friends. Jose will be remembered as a great and humble man who wanted nothing more than to see his family smile. We will miss his genuine, selfless, and thoughtful personality that touched so many lives. Nevertheless, his siblings, Jesus Marquez, Genaro Marquez, Ruben Marquez, Guadalupe Marquez, Virginia Marquez, and Raquel Marquez survive him. Jose was a loving and dedicated grandpa to 17 nieces, 9 nephews, 11 great nieces, 10 great nephews, and 1 great-great niece. Join the Holly in remembering and celebrating the life of Jose.
