Obituary: John Edward , 70 years old, passed away in Carthage, Texas on 23, 2016 He was born on 19, 1946 in Ann Arbor, Michigan to Ray and Marion . John served his country in the United States Army for 20 plus years retiring 1, 1987. He is a veteran of The Vietnam War and received several medals. He had such pride serving in the military and enjoyed counseling and assisting fellow soldiers with any needs that they had. On occasion, inviting them to come over for dinner so that they could be surrounded by friends and feel as though they were a part of a family. Even though he was deployed two times to The Vietnam War and helped many of his comrades that were injured, he did not like to be recognized for his bravery. He felt as though it was his honor and duty and that he did not do anything that any other man did or would have done for his fellow man. He was loved by all who knew him. John was always willing to hug any that may need one and could make just about anyone smile in no time with his kind heart and quirky sense of humor. Even printing out free hug cards that he would hand out for a smile and to make someone's day. John lived a very simple, yet happy life choosing to enjoy life's beauties and felt as though the world moved way too quickly to do so. He had a love for writing short stories that we would type on an old typewriter. He never met a stranger and would gladly help anyone in need that he could. Being a very spiritual man he lived his life sharing his passion for the Bible. He was always eager to share his love for God and any life lessons he learned along the way. John would not settle for having a good day, but chose to have a great one instead. By growing up a farmer's son he was taught to appreciate the value of hard work and to in turn work hard to provide for his family. He was a very loving and caring father to his children always supporting their dreams and educating them to think before they spoke and to ask themselves before making a decision. "Is there any way that I can get into trouble?" If so, then do not do nor say it. By being one of his children they never questioned whether or not they were loved, they always knew that they were because they heard it constantly and truly felt it on a daily basis. No matter how much time had gone by without seeing or speaking to one another he always knew that in turn he was loved as well. He was the first man that his daughters ever loved, which would set the bar high for the future men in their lives. He will forever be missed. He is survived by daughters, Michelle of Tennessee and Genece (Neece) Gibbons and her husband Joey of Texas; son, Daniel of Texas; grandchildren: Sasha Lambert, Lynette Long, Audrianna Lawver, Christian Miller, Meagan Gibbons and Colby Matheson; as well as seven great-grand children, with two more on the way in the fall. Obituary: Glenn was born on 9, 1953, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma to Oscar and Marjorie . He was the only child born to this union. Glenn loved the Lord with all his heart and he was very strong in his faith. He currently attended New York Avenue Church of Christ. Glenn attended Douglass High School in Oklahoma City. There he developed his love for music and began playing in the Douglass High School Band. Glenns passion for music continued to grow and he later performed with various bands and played with legends like Johnnie Taylor. He was a musician for 15 years. Glenn was attending Tarrant where he had a few classes to complete before graduating. Glenn has held several positions at ACS over the past 25 years; his current position was Lead Transaction Processor. Glenn was well respected by his co-workers. He loved working with computers, playing and listening to music, riding his Harley, taking care of his wife, spending time with family and being Pa-Pa. He was an amazing husband, excellent father and grandfather, loving uncle, and a kind and generous friend. Glenn was loved tremendously. He was a man nobody could replace. Glenn and Pamela dated in their early twenties, reunited in the late 1990s and later married on 10, 2002. Glenn is survived by his mother and father, Oscar and Marjorie (Oklahoma City, OK), his wife Pamela (Arlington, TX), his children: Glenn II, Andrea Vaughn-Williams (Oklahoma City, OK) Vernon Hale III (Arlington,TX) and Una Dixon (Euless, TX), his siblings, Oscar Jr (Pflugerville,TX), Barbara Chandler(Oklahoma City, OK), Felicia Braken (Corcicana,TX), Michaela Dozier (Oklahoma City, OK) Sister in -laws: Arlina (Pflugerville,TX), Cheryl Patterson (Irving, TX), LeDora Patterson (Denver, CO), Pamela Patterson (Houston, TX),Brother in law: Willis Patterson (Houston, TX),Niece: Tonii Christopher (Oklahoma City, OK) Grandchildren: Justin Hale (Mansfield, TX) Daryus Osborn, Chris Hale, India Hale (Arlington, TX), Jared Hughes, Alexandria Hughes (Mansfield, TX), and Krista Dixon (Euless,TX). Her current chapter was Laureate Theta Upsilon.
