Obituary: Our beloved Annie Dorothy Pavlicek Marburger, loving wife of Alois Marburger, passed away peacefully in her sleep on , 5, 2016. Annie was born in the house she grew up in near Frelsburg, Texas. She was the daughter of Benedict and Annie Zbranek Pavlicek. She had four siblings, one brother and three sisters. She was the youngest, with her brother Sylvester, being the oldest. He was already in the Army when Annie was born. Annie graduated from St. John Catholic School in Fayetteville, Texas, as the salutatorian of her class. She met Alois through friends. married two years later on 14, 1954, at St. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Frelsberg. Alois, being in the Air Force as his career, meant that for the next 22 years they traveled throughout the United States and with two different tours in Germany, moving and packing up every three years. She handled it with dignity and grace. Annie was an LVN and practiced nursing at various Air Force Bases. Finally in 1974, they retired and made Austin, Texas their home for the next 42 years. When the family returned to Austin, Annie worked at the Veterans Administration in the accounting department until she retired in 1995. During her retirement Annie was content making pickles, canning jams, or helping Alois process deer, especially making deer sausage. She also loved to shop with her daughters, eat out with family, or travel until her health declined. Annie was preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Sylvester; and her sisters, Judith and Vlasta. Annie is survived by her husband of 61 years, Alois; daughter, Debbie Bailey and husband Richard; daughter Yvonne Marburger; and son, Edward Marburger. Her grandchildren include, Christopher Doremus, Ryan Lovejoy, Amanda and Allison Bailey, Megan Moore, and Sarita Marburger, and one great-grandchild, Hailey Doremus. Annie is survived by one sister, Lillie Abbitt of Oklahoma City, OK; and sisters-in-law, Albina Pavlicek, (Elvie) Jean Weber, and Marceil Prestridge. Pallbearers include Christopher Doremus, Ryan Lovejoy, Richard Bailey, Michael Peel, Anthony Urbanovsky and Steve Pavlicek. The family would like to thank the staff at Austin Seton Hospital for their care and support while Annie was in their care. would also like to thank the Caring Senior Service for their unconditional and loving support, as well as Hospice Austin for their kindness and words of encouragement during this difficult time. She was greatly loved and will be sorely missed, but the family knows she is at rest with our Heavanly Father. There will be a visitation for family and friends on , 7, 2016 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Cook-Walden/Capital Parks in Pflugerville, Texas. services will be held at 10:00 a.m. , 8, 2016 at the funeral home chapel. Obituary: Mildred Marable, 87, Tyler, passed away 14 at home with her family around her. A private family service was held. A memorial service for Mrs. Marable is scheduled for 25, at 1:30pm at Lloyd James Chapel with the Reverend Edward Dodson, Clarksville, officiating. She was born in Clarksville, Texas, on 7, 1924, to Albert and Lela Wooley. She graduated from Clarksville High School in 1941 with various honors, and from Texas Womans University in May, 1945. She was president of National Collegiate Players, appeared in numerous theatrical productions, and received the prestigious Leman Memorial Award for drama. graduation she toured with Interstate Players. She married her high school sweetheart Allen Marable of Clarksville in 1946. established permanent residence in Tyler in 1954. She appeared on KLTV in its early days as an interviewer of prominent people visiting Tyler. She performed in leading and supporting roles at the Tyler Civic Theatre. She was preceded in death by her sisters Lela May Beadle, Lucille Hohmann, Christine Robison, and Dorothy Wooley. Survivors include her beloved husband of 64 years, Allen Marable; daughters Cathy Marable of Clarendon, Marilyn Findley and husband, Ken of Seabrook, Amy McBride and husband, Michael of Buda; dear grandchildren Jeffrey Findley and Jennifer Findley of Austin, and Jonathan Findley of Seabrook; and many nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to The Salvation Army, 633 N Broadway, Tyler, 75702, or a charity of your choice. |

Obituary: Francis M. Marble, Jr. (Jr Marble), 76, was born on 21, 1938 in Oklahoma City, OK and passed away on 8, 2015 in Houston, TX. Francis, son of F.M. (Buster) Marble, Sr. and Mary Elizabeth King Marble grew up on a dairy farm in the Franklin Community until he graduated from Norman High School in 1958. He worked for Western Electric in Oklahoma City, OK while attending college at University of Oklahoma (OU) and University of Central Oklahoma (UCO). He then worked in the petroleum industry in Tulsa, OK; San Antonio, and Houston, TX developing software for processing seismic data and did graduate work at Tulsa University, St. Marys University, and University of Houston. In 1967 he joined Control Data Corporation, a computer manufacturer, as petroleum/chemical product manager and worked in this field for eight years. While working in the Houston area, he did projects for the National Aeronautics and Space Administrations (NASA) at Johnson Space (JSC) processing Moon seismic data and remote Earth sensing data which lead to a twenty-seven year career in the space industry, supporting contracts at JSC, Kennedy Space (KSC) and the Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL) while living most of the time in the NASA JSC area. He retired from Lockheed Martin in 2003. Francis spent most of his retirement years taking care of the family farm in Norman, OK and taking care of his mother before her passing. Francis was preceded in death by his parents and joins them in the IOOF in Norman, OK. He married Shirley Reich of Noble, OK in 1959 and they raised and educated their five children. He was the father of four sons, David of Houston, TX; Daniel of Stephenville, TX; Kevin of Norman, OK; Francis III of Garland, TX; and one daughter, Michelle of Houston, TX; grandfather of two grandsons, Chris and Francis IV; and six granddaughters, Nikki, Keylee; Kassie; Sherrill, Mary and Breanna. He also has eight great-grandchildren, 1 great-great-grandchild and other relatives and friends in the Norman and Houston area. |

Obituary: Donley Horace Marble, age 82, of South Plains, passed away in Lubbock, Texas, on 10, 2015. services will be held at First Baptist Church in Floydada at 10:00 a.m., , 13, 2015. Interment will follow at the Floyd Memorial Park in Floydada. Visitation will be held at Moore-Rose in Lockney evening from 6 to 8 p.m. are under the care of Moore-Rose in Lockney. Donley Horace Marble was born 4, 1932 to Horace and Lillian King Marble in Floydada, Texas. Don married Nancy Holland 1, 1956. Don lived most of his life in South Plains, he attended South Plains School and then Floydada High School in the class of 1950. Don served his country proudly in the US Army in the 548th Anti-aircraft Artillery Battalion where he served his last year in Tule, Greenland. He stayed close to his army buddies, attending reunions and hosting one in Lubbock. Don was a long time cotton farmer. He was the oldest of brothers, Fred and Keith, and together they formed a partnership, Marble Bros. in 1951, while they were all just teenagers. Over the years, they farmed land in Floyd, Hale, Briscoe and Castro counties and forged lifelong friendships with many of their employees, landlords and their families. Don was a member of South Plains Baptist Church, past President of Plains Cotton Growers and High Plains Research Foundation, High Plains Underground Water District Board member, delegate to the National Cotton Council as well as many other farming related organizations. Don also served on the Texas Tech of Agricultural Services on the Deans Advisory Committee. Don was predeceased by his Mother and Father, Lillian and H.L. Marble as well as his brother Fred Marble and lifelong best friend J.D. Smith. Don is survived by his wife, Nancy, children Donette Marble of Midland and Brett Marble and wife Gayla of South Plains, Texas. Don is also survived by grandchildren Morgan Espe and husband Chase of Lubbock and Miles Marble of Lubbock, Texas. Also surviving Don is his brother, Keith Marble and wife, Neta of South Plains, sister Wells and husband Marvin, of Denton, Texas and sister-in-law Carolyn Marble, also of South Plains as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Memorials can be made to Floyd Historical Museum in Floydada, Texas, South Plains Baptist Church in South Plains, or the charity of your choice. |
