Obituary: Carola Jo Mann, 71, passed away at her home on May 20, 2017 in Richmond, Texas. Carola was born on 26, 1945 in Beaumont, Texas to Ernest and Jo Jones who preceded her in death. Carola graduated from South Park High School in 1964 and went on to earn a degree from Lamar University. She was a Inspector for the Beaumont Department and the Rosenberg Department. Carola enjoyed reading and oil painting. Painting offered a pleasant challenge as she created natural scenes and landscapes. She and her husband are members of First Baptist Church of Richmond. Survivors include her loving husband of 35 years, Rex Lee Mann of Richmond; sons, Michael H. Mann and his wife Debbie of Kerrville, Eric Lee Mann of Addison; grandchildren, Tyler and Cody Mann.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Forest Lawn in Beaumont at 1:00 PM, , May 24, 2017. The family will receive friends beginning at 11:00 AM on at Forest Lawn .

Obituary: Billy M. Mann, Age 94, of Austin, TX, passed away 31, 2016. Billy was born in Decatur, TX on 12, 1922. He grew up in Vernon, TX and graduated from Vernon High School in 1939, where he was President of his Senior Class. He attended Texas Tech University for one year before entering the service in World War II. the war, he graduated in 1948 from the University of Texas at Austin with a degree in Business, graduating with Highest Honors.

On 19, 1944 Billy married Bonnie Jean Rice in Corpus Christi, TX and they were married for 71 years.

Billy had a passion for family, God and church, Arthur Andersen & Co., golf and the University of Texas Longhorns. He was a lifelong Baptist and was baptized in the First Baptist Church of Vernon. He was also a member of Baptist churches in Houston, TX, Dallas, TX, Ft. Worth, TX, Denver, CO, and Seattle, WA. Churches included Lakewood Baptist Church in Dallas where he was ordained as a Deacon, Broadway Baptist Church in Ft Worth, and First Baptist Church in Austin where he became Deacon Emeritus.

Billys entire work career was with Arthur Andersen & Co. from 1948 - 1984. He worked in the offices in Houston from 1948 - 1951, Dallas from 1951 - 1963, Ft. Worth, from 1963 - 1974, Denver from 1974 - 1980 and Seattle from 1980 - 1984 where he retired.

His golf passions were carried out as members of Ridglea Country Club in Ft Worth, Broadmoor Golf Club in Seattle, and Colonial Country Club in Ft Worth.
In addition to being a lifelong deacon, his special achievements in life included being an Ensign in the US Navy during World War II where he taught pilots to fly. He was a member of the first college graduating class for servicemen under the GI Bill. He was made a Partner in Arthur Andersen in 1958.

Billy is preceded in death by his parents Lon L. and Laura Belew Mann, his sister Dorothy Mann Henly and numerous Belew aunts, uncles, and cousins. He is survived by his wife Bonnie Jean Mann of Austin, TX; daughters Debra Mann of Austin, TX and Dr. Barbra Mann Wall of Charlottesville, VA; grandsons William Austin Wall of Austin, TX and Adam Wall (wife Michelle) of South Bend, IN; also his granddaughter Angilee Wall Scaramuzzino (husband Francesco) of London, England; sister-in-law Barbara Key; nieces Linda Henly Appleton, Becky Key Norsworthy, Linda Key Willingham and nephews Bill Henly, Dan Henly, and Greg Key.

Billy made many lifelong friends, especially from churches and Arthur Andersen, for which his family is forever grateful. Billys family and friends will all agree that he was one of the most honorable men they ever knew. His daughters, Deb and Barb, say that if anyone wants to know what their heavenly father is like, all they have to do is look at their earthly father. He was the very best father and man in every sense of the word.

Obituary: Betty Myatt Mann died 28, 2011. Betty was born in Clarksburg, West Virginia on 2, 1929 to John Wade and Edith Pepper Dennison. She grew up following her father and mother around the oil fields from Kansas to Oklahoma, to New Mexico and finally to Odessa, Texas. Betty lived in Odessa until her senior year of high school when she and her parents moved to Lubbock. graduating Lubbock High School she attended Texas Tech University graduating with a Masters in Speech Pathology. Betty was hired as the Head of the Department at Tech and was there until she went to work for the MHMR of Lubbock. Betty married Max V. Myatt on 29, 1949. raised two sons. Max passed away in 1994. Betty remarried Dr. Raymond Mann on 3, 1997.
Betty was a member of numerous clubs and organizations: Texas Tech Alumni Association, Lubbock Womens Club, Lubbock Symphony Guild, Lubbock Country Club, District 10 Lubbock Osteopathic Auxiliary, Heritage Study Club, Lubbock Country Club Womens Golf and Tennis Association, and First United Methodist Church and Questers School Class.
Betty was a wonderful mother, grandmother, wife, and friend. She took pride in seeing her family excel in sports, academics, and all aspects of life. She was a fun loving person who embraced life with humor and bravery. Throughout her life, she loved traveling around the world. Betty also enjoyed modeling for numerous stores in Lubbock. She was an experienced Bridge player and played in numerous Bridge Clubs. Betty is survived by her husband of 14 years Dr. Raymond Mann and his sons Bob, Stephen and Christopher Mann and daughter, Marlaine McCreight, his 9 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her son Steve Myatt and daughter-in-law Kathy Myatt of Waco; three grandsons, Dr. Phillip Myatt of Galveston, Nick Myatt and wife Cherise of Waco, John Wade Myatt of Lubbock, and one great-grandson, Michael Wade Myatt. She is preceded in death by her son John Michael Myatt and brother Jim Dennison.
Visitation will be at Resthaven from 5-7 pm 31st. Private interment will be , 1st at Resthaven Memorial Park. A public memorial service will be held at First United Methodist Church a 1 pm , 1st. Obituary: Bert Ellis Mann, 91, passed away on , 13, 2016. His family will be receiving friends from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. , 20, 2016 in the Discovery Room of the First Baptist Church Odessa. The funeral service will be at 4:00 p.m. , , 20, 2016 in the sanctuary with Pastor Byron McWilliams officiating. The graveside service will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens.

Bert was born at home 23, 1925 in rural Decatur, TX. serving in the Navy during WWII, he entered college at Hardin-Simmons University graduating with a BBA in 1949 and Master of Education in 1954. He married his college sweetheart, Dorothy Blanche Crabtree, on 19, 1950 in Abilene, TX and moved to Odessa in 1953.

Early on, Bert taught business subjects at Odessa High School and evening classes at Odessa . He became an elementary school teacher and then a principal. The highlight of his 40-year career in education was opening Blanton Elementary School as its principal in 1981.

Bert was very active in his church at First Baptist Odessa. He was in the Chancel Choir from 1954 to 2015 serving in leadership roles including President throughout this time. He became a deacon in 1957. Bert taught the youth in School for 32 years. He served on many church committees including Youth, Library, Nominating, Hospitality, Mission Action, Widow Ministry, Christian Action and the Committee on Committees. Filling temporary vacancies, he served as the Church Financial Secretary two summers and as the Church Secretary one summer to Pastor Rasco.

And, Bert served the larger community as a member of the Jaycees in Orange, TX and as a member of the Lions Club in Odessa. He volunteered with the Odessa Chamber of Commerce Convention and Visitors Bureau, Alliance Hospital, Odessa Regional Medical , and the Presidential Museum and Leadership Library. He has been involved with the Permian Play-house theater and was an original patron of the Globe Theatre of the Great Southwest. He held life members in the Texas State Teachers Association, the Parent Teachers Association, Phi Delta Kappa, Texas Elementary Principals Association, and the Texas Retired Teachers Association.

Bert was preceded in death by his parents, Frank Alvin Mann (1955) and Mary Margaret Carlton Mann (1976); siblings, Fidella Gage (1998), Christelle Martin (2012), and Carlton Mann (2012); children, Richard Keith Mann (1953) and David Randall Mann (1962). He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Dorothy Crabtree Mann; siblings, Frankie Miliara of Lewisville, TX and L.W. Mann of Alvord, TX; sons, Chuck Mann and wife Shirley of Plano, TX, Craig Mann of Cypress, TX; grandchildren, Melissa Mann Raptis and husband George of Cortland, OH, Chelsea Mann Suggs and husband Brady of Lewisville, TX, Jake Mann of Denton, TX, Kyndall Mann Daniel and husband Preston of Bedford, TX, and Luke Mann and wife Laurie of Houston, TX; and great grandchildren, Elias Raptis, Abby Raptis, and Corbin Raptis of Cortland, OH and Caden Suggs of Lewisville, TX.

Instead of flowers, the family requests donations be made in Berts memory to the First Baptist Church Odessa Music Ministry where he served for 62 years. Services are entrusted to Frank W. Wilson Directors.
