Obituary: Ms. Oi Foon Man was born on 2, 1933 in Fat Shan, Kwong Tung, China. She was the first child of Kin Shun Man and Mo Chun Tang. moved to Macau after the Japanese War. she graduated from Santa Rosa Secondary School, Ms. Man moved to Hong Kong to join the Training Program at Nethersole Hospital and worked there. Later on, she went to London, England, to further her education. When she finished her Advance Training, she returned to Hong Kong and worked for the Hong Kong Government Hospital System. She worked at Queen Elizabeth Hospital and Princess Margaret Hospital for many years and served as a Head Nurse until her retirement in the late 1980's. her retirement, she assisted her father and helped to manage his business. In 1993, Ms. Man immigrated to United States and settled in Houston. She became a member of Chinese Baptist Church in Houston and later on Southwest Chinese Baptist Church in Stafford. She joined the Partnership of Colony Plaza and then Cafe East from 1997 to May 2015. She spent her time participating in Church and Evergreen Fellowship activities and being with her families and friends. Ms. Man was a person of great devotion and compassion. She lovingly cared for her parents as well as the rest of the family all her life. She had high values, had a a strong sense of duty, and believed in hard work. She was known for her integrity and her unwavering trust in God. She made a lot of friends along the way. Above all, she inspired our families. If not for her love and support, our extended family would not be in the US today. We will always love her. She will be missed by everyone. Obituary: Emmanuel Mamo passed peacefully at home with his family at his side on 12th, 2017 at 6:53am. He was 68 years old. Emmanuel was born on 5th, 1948 on the Island of Malta. He was the son of Austin and Agnes Mamo. He came to the United States as a young kid and became a US Citizen. Later in life, he returned to Malta in search of his bride. He met his future bride on 24th 1968 in Malta. On 12th 1969, he and Lucienne Abdilla became man and wife. their wedding, Emmanuel Mamo and Lucienne Mamo moved to Michigan and fathered two boys. He enlisted in the Army National Guard as a pole lineman and served for 6 years in the reserves. Later Emmanuel Mamo moved his family to Spring, Texas where he fathered another son and spent the rest of his life. Emmanuel was a proud successful entrepreneur of six different business. Emmanuels legacy was his family. He loved his precious grilling time, vacationing as a family, Easter dinners, Thanksgiving dinners, Christmas dinners, Family reunions, as well as all other holidays with his close family and extended family. He also loved to eat. He was not picky, and would eat anything, but the chances are that if you ever ran into him, he was eating. He was always the first person to make a plate and the last one to finish. Emmanuel was also a religious man. A Parish member at St Edward Catholic Church ever since he had moved to Spring, Texas. Emmanuel had a beautiful singing voice. He would lift many others up with his elegant voice, singing his gospel music as if he was the only one in the room. He loved to lead the daily mass in song and received so many compliments because everyone knew he sang from his heart and it sounded so peaceful. Emmanuel was a kind and loving man. He would open doors for strangers, give money to people in need, and put himself in danger to protect others. Emmanuel Mamo is preceded in death by his parents Austin Mamo, Agnes Mamo and his sister Maria Schmidt. He is survived by his wife, Lucienne Mamo, and three children: Matthew Mamo, Mark Mamo and Michael Mamo and spouse Shannon Mamo. His two brother: Joseph Mamo and spouse Carmen Mamo, and Charles Mamo and spouse Rita Mamo and sister Theresa Borg spouse Charles Borg. In addition, his 6 grandkids: Melanie Mamo, Jennifer Nikki Mamo, Austin Mamo, Christopher Mamo, Johnathan Mamo and Kyle Mamo. Visitation will be 5:00pm to 7:00pm at Metcalf Directors. A Rosary will be held at 10:00am with the Mass beginning 10:30AM at St. Edwards Catholic Church, with the Rite of Committal following in Earthman Resthaven in Houston, Texas. |

Obituary: John Leslie Mammen was born 15, 1944 to Johnny Herman JH and Lorene Mammen in Dallas, Texas. He lived in Irving, Texas until moving to Haslet, Texas with wife Theresa in 2000. John attended Irving High School as a member of the class of 1963 and studied at the University of Texas at Arlington. John served in the US Army and the US Army Reserves from 1966 to 1972 in a combat engineering unit, and was a decorated sharpshooter. In 1969, John married Theresa Gilmore of Dallas Texas, and they celebrated their 48th anniversary on 25, 2017. John and Theresa raised two sons, Chris and Robert. Johns parents founded the family business, Mammen Glass and Mirror, in 1956, where John worked with them from age twelve until assuming leadership of the company as President in 1980, and then retiring in 2012. With his brother Jim, John grew and expanded the business from auto glass to include residential and commercial glazing. His sons Chris and Robert grew up working in the family business with their Dad through high school. Robert returned to help open and run the new Austin branch after college in 1997 and 1998. John was rejoined in the family business by son Chris in 1993. John, Jim and Chris added glass fabrication equipment and grew the business rapidly. Under its new name, M3 Glass Technologies, the company won the Inc 5000 award for fastest-growing businesses in America five times between 2007 and 2013. The company was named Small Business of the Year for the South Central region for three years in a row by the U.S. Chamber of Commerce in 2007, 2008, and 2009. John served on the board of directors for the National Glass Association for six years. He also was a founding board member of the Metroplex Glass Dealers Association. In 2015, John won the Johnny Lamb Award for dedicated service to the glass industry. John was known and respected throughout both the local business community and the national glass industry. He was an active member of the Irving Ambucs Club for many years. John loved to travel for both business and pleasure. He loved cruising with his wife Theresa, especially in the Carribbean and tropics. also made many other trips together, including Israel, London, the Panama Canal, and Alaska. John and Theresa enjoyed visiting Ruidoso, New Mexico together and made the trip many times. In 1994 John and son Chris traveled to Russia together, fulfilling a lifelong desire. He enjoyed traveling for business as well, making trips to Italy. Germany, The Netherlands, Spain, Australia, China and Israel. John was a Christian and a dedicated husband, father, and grandfather. With his sons, John participated in soccer, basketball, karate, bmx, Indian Guides, Cub Scouts, and Boy Scouts. Grandchildren Jon, Jonah, and Jadon were a great source of joy and pride for John. He loved babysitting and attending soccer and hockey games with them, and he recently got to fly with his pilot grandson, Jon. He cherished every moment spent with Jadon, Jonah, and Jon. John held various church leadership positions during his life. He participated in Bible Study Fellowship for many years and was a discussion leader as well. He was sustained by his faith and his family throughout his life and his battle with cancer. John was the spiritual leader of his family, influencing his children and grandchildren to follow his example. In the summer of 1993, John was diagnosed with prostate cancer, and for the next 24 years he regularly outlived the estimations of his doctors. John is survived by wife Theresa; son Chris and daughter-in-law Jennifer of Grapevine, Texas; son Robert of Austin, Texas; grandsons Jon, Jonah, and Jadon; and brother Jim and his wife Ann of Roanoke, Texas. Services are scheduled for , 16, 2017 at 2:00 pm in the J.E. Foust and Son Chapel. Family will receive friends on , 15, 2017 from 5:00-9:00 at the funeral home 523 S Main, Grapevine, TX 76051.
