Obituary: Anita Molina Maldonado, (Grandma) 97, returned to her heavenly home to be with Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on 28, 2015. Anita was born to the late Norberto and Ysabel Gallardo Molina. She was a devoted member of La Trinidad United Methodist Church in Seguin, Texas. She was immersed in the Christian community that would be her lifelong support from an early age. She was a member of numerous organizations such as the Womens Society of Christian Service, Retired Senior Volunteer program of Seguin, Texas (9 years of Service). She was also a member of the RSVP Advisory Council of Seguin, Lifetime Member of Methodist Womens Society, of the board of education for La Trinidad Methodist Church and the Council for Pastor Parish and relations council. At the La Trinidad Methodist church she was a board trustee, Choir member, school and Bible school teacher. She was awarded the Women of Action Award UMC Central District in 1982. Anita was blessed with a large and loving family. She married David Maldonado on 27th, 1935 in Seguin, Texas. She raised her seven children with patience, discipline and humility. From the very beginning, she dedicated her children to God and encouraged them to explore the beauty of the gospels which led her children to become lifelong Christians and servants of God. Anitas favorite Bible passage was Psalm 23. She found comfort in verse six Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life; and I will dwell in the house of the LORD forever. Anita was a wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, great great grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. She was kind and soft-spoken, and always had time to answer a question or solve a problem, no matter how small. She is dearly missed by her loved ones, who celebrate the fact that she is at peace with her creator. Anita (Grandma) gave unconditional love to her family. Her life was God and her family. She was a devoted wife and loved her husband David very much. Even after his passing she continued to honor him by always talking and remembering him with pride and joy. Grandmas loved to be with her family all year long. Her favorite time of the year was the Maldonado Family reunion. It was held every year in . Family would come from all over the country to be with Grandma. She would enjoy her family and the good times that were provided by this family gathering. Her favorite event at the reunion was Bingo. The game would give the family a lot of laughs and enjoyment. It also created time to bond and strengthen our love together. Anita loved to travel. She traveled throughout Europe, Mexico and the United States. She fell in love with the city of San Francisco, CA. Her most proud travel moments came when she visited the Statue of Liberty and the White House. She also was so excited to visit the Liberty Bell in Philadelphia, that she touched the bell, even though it was against the rules. Anita is survived by her children, daughters: Alicia (Jose); Rachel Salcido (Ruben); Emma Rios; Sons: David (Charlotte); Alejandro (Irene). Son-in-law; Daniel Resendez; Sister: Ysabel Luna; She had twelve grandchildren : William Ellington, Robert Ellington, Ricardo Salas, Jose Salas III, Cynthia Daniels, Judy Salcido, Ruben Salcido Jr., Donna Maldonado, Alma Maldonado, David Maldonado III, Carlos Maldonado and Nancy Rios. She is also survived by numerous great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She also considered all of her in-laws as her own children and grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband David; brother: Alberto Molina; daughters - Amelia Resendez, Anita Ellington, and son-in-laws Frank Ellington and Noel D. G. Rios, grandson in-law Jim Daniels. Visitation will be held , May 1st, 5:00 p.m. at Goetz 713 S. Austin st., Seguin, TX with a prayer service to follow at 7:00 p.m. services will be held at La Trinidad United Methodist Church 306 E. Gonzales st., Seguin, TX , May 2nd, 10:00 a.m. with a committal service to follow at San Geronimo cemetery, 1620 E Walnut st. Seguin, TX. |

Ambrosio was a hard working, loving man who enjoyed working in his garden.
