Obituary: LTC (Ret.) Glenn Wesley Madere, Jr., of San Antonio, Texas died , 15, 2012 at the age of 85. He was born May 1, 1926 in Reserve, Louisiana to Glenn Madere Sr. and Noelie Malarcher Madere. Glenn graduated from Holy Cross School and, later, from Louisiana State University. He was awarded a Masters Degree in Biochemistry from Georgetown University. Shortly after graduating from LSU, in 1947 he married Mary Gwen Boone of New Orleans, LA. Glenn was an affectionate and devoted husband to his wife, Gwen Madere for over 60 years. He was a loving, self sacrificing, and very patient father to eleven children. His service as a decorated officer of the U.S. Army Medical Service Corps spanned more than 24 years and included posts as Chief of Hospital Laboratories in Saigon, Ft. Lewis, WA, and Ft. Sam Houston, TX, and two tours as an Instructor and later Administrator at the Armys Medical Field Service School in San Antonio. He retired with honors as a Lieutenant Colonel in 1973. Glenn learned to fly small planes as a teenager. His never ending passion for flying brought much joy and many adventures to him, Gwen and his children. He helped to found the Ft. Sam Houston Flying Club where he enthusiastically served as president. He honed his flying skills to a high degree of professionalism allowing him to serve as a private pilot for former Texas Governor and Treasury Secretary John Connolly. He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Mary Gwendolyn Boone Madere and eleven children: Glenn L. Madere, Susan Madere, Tessa Hatler, John Madere, Connie Andrews, Lauren Hoel, Elaine Miller, Wesley Madere, Janet Settle, Steven Madere Charles Madere; over 40 grandchildren and great grandchildren; his sister, Patricia Bercier; numerous nieces and nephews. Obituary: Antoine Davant Madere Jr. known as Tony was born in Laplace Louisiana 5th, 1938. He married his high school sweet heart Mary Ann Cambre 3rd, 1959. Tony earned his degree in Electrical Engineering from LSU while in ROTC where he was the rifle team captain. His military service in the US Air Force started in 1961. He served in Strategic & Tactical Air Command as a B52 Navigator & Electronic Warfare Officer early in his military career and later as Computer Operations Officer. He also certified as a private pilot in the mid 1960s. In 1981 he retired as a Major having received military honors and awards including: Air Medal with 2 oak leaf clusters, Small Arms Expert Marksmanship award, Air Force Longevity Service ribbon with 4 oak leaf clusters, National Defense Service medal, Vietnam Service medal with 1 oak leaf cluster, RVN Campaign Medal, Air force Commendation medal and Meritorious Service medal. retiring from the Air Force, he worked at Wang Computer for 10 years as a system analyst and in a technical sales support role. Following Wang, he worked for the State of Texas, Department of Information Resources for 10 years evaluating technology solutions for state agencies. In his free time he was an artisan and craftsman creating countless woodworking projects from lamps and decorative items to furniture. He enjoyed designing his own tools and equipment as well as using them to create gorgeous projects. He made exquisite rosaries with exotic beads including some beads he made. He also enjoyed acrylic painting and sketching, camping, fishing, hunting, skeet shooting and was passionate about organic gardening. Active in various Catholic church ministries over a 50 year period, he served as Eucharist Minister, Religious Education Teacher, Lector and RCIA instructor. He also participated in the Fatima traveling Madonna program, Blue Army and Knights of Columbus. Additionally, he restored statues and art for many churches. Following a lengthy and heroic battle with cancer, Tony went peacefully to meet our Lord on All Souls day, 2nd, 2016. Tony was preceded in the death by his parents Antoine D. & Gerdie Madere and brother Clyde Madere. He is survived by his wife Ann of 57 years, his seven children: Wendy Winkler (Jerry), Jeffrey Madere (Angelique), Whitney Madere (Kathy), Mark Madere, Bonnie Humphrey (Devon), Gregory Madere (Jennifer), Jenny Carpenter (Robert) and siblings: Patty Watson , Warren Madere, Arlene Entremont and Yvonne Rongy. Tony had 17 grandchildren: Lindsi Graham (Brandon), Craig Winkler, Joshua Madere, Justin Madere, Brian Winkler, Theresa Barrera (Joseph), Jenna Madere, Julia Madere, Andrew Humphrey, Jessica Madere, Dillon Humphrey, Kody Madere, Christopher Madere, Jameson Madere, Joseph Madere, Owen Carpenter and Johnathan Carpenter and 5 great grandchildren. Obituary: Pedro Madera Alvarez was the 2nd child in a family of 16 siblings. He was born on 3, 1954 to Jose Madera de la Paz and Adelaida Alvarez Luna in Huejuquilla, Alto Jalisco, Mexico. At the age of 15, he left home to find work in the U.S. and received his citizenship in 2004. He settled in Irving, TX in the late 1980’s. Pete worked many jobs ranging from cowboy to cook and restaurant manager to construction manager. In 1997, Pete began doing business as “Professional Repairs” where many of his clients became close friends. In 2000, Pete met Jacqueline and they married in 2001. In of last year, Pete was diagnosed with brain cancer and the Lord brought him home on 22, 2014. Pete is survived by his wife Jacqueline, 3 daughters, 4 grandchildren, 13 brothers and sisters, and numerous nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents and two sisters. Pete loved his job and was always busy. He enjoyed golf and made many friends through the years at his favorite course. Pete was hard working, generous, kind, and he loved to laugh. Sus hijos la recuerdan como una mujer luchadora que amaba el orden y la limpieza, además de ser pacifica, respetuosa, amable y llena de amor para con los demás especialmente hacia sus hijos y nietos. Ellos recuerdan que en los momentos mas difíciles su vida, nunca se dejo vencer, pues siempre se encomendaba a Dios con toda devoción y no perdía la fe. Idalia su hija nunca olvidara como su madre siempre estuvo a su lado en los momentos de enfermedad; cuidándola, aconsejándola, acompañándola y poniéndola en sus oraciones para dejar las dificultades en manos de Dios. Obituary: Kelly Forbes Mader went home to be with Jesus , 24, 2016 after a massive heart attack at his home in Station, Texas. Kelly was born in Sheridan, Wyoming 12, 1952 and resided on the Mader ranches in Campbell until he moved to Littleton, Colorado. He was a long time Campbell resident, rancher, real estate broker and auctioneer. His passion for the state of Wyoming included; serving in both the House of Representatives and the Senate from 1982-1991. He worked tirelessly to defend and advocate the interests of the Wyoming coal industry. He was preceded in death by his parents R.A. Dick and Ena Mader. He is survived by his wife Nancy of 40 years, their three children, Amy Mader McReynolds (Chris) of Wilsonville, Oregon, Angie Mader Levine (Gary) of Aurora, Colorado, and Ian Mader (Brittany) of Station, Texas.
