She was born in Tulsa, Oklahoma on 17, 1934 to Robert and Francis Durham who predeceased her as did her sister, Gloria Sheehan and grandson Ryan Maas. Carol is survived by her loving husband Donald Maas, of 62 beautiful years, their children Joe and wife Debbie, Andy and wife Debbie, Larry and wife Debbie, John and wife Mary, Teresa Maas Cardin and husband Loren, Bobby and wife Deanna, and Steve and wife Kristie. Grandchildren are Brandon, Ashley, Courtney, Tiffani, Kristi, Kim, Ryan (deceased), Jeff, Jessica, Marissa, Jennifer, Michelle, Will, Ally, Garrett, Maddie, Kaitlynn, Stevie, and Emma and 11 great grandchildren. While working in the Accounting Department at Deep Rock Oil , she took accounting courses at the University of Tulsa. marriage to her husband, Donald Maas, she left the workforce to raise their family of six boys and one girl. Her 15 minutes of fame began at 12:01 a.m. with the birth of their daughter, Teresa on 1st, 1962, the first newborn in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Carolyn resumed her business career after the youngest boys matured. She was then employed a number of years at Poole Advertising and Keeper and Associates as Office Manager. retirement, she volunteered in the church office of Saint Catherine of Siena, which was her second love. She so enjoyed her church, the parishioners, and ministries, that she convinced her husband from returning to Tulsa after his retirement. For a number of years, she served as a Eucharistic Minister. She chaired the first major silent auction, organized the annual Fun Day, and several successful parish dances. She co-sponsored the Super Senior activities and organized Food For Families for church members in need and grieving the loss of family members. Her activities earned her the description as "Pillar of the Church" by her family. Some of Carol's happiest moments were in hosting church dinner club groups, and frequenting new restaurants as they sprung up in Houston. This led to preparing and serving dinners to visiting clergy at St. Catherine's for various functions over the years. To watch the CNBC stock market news, Don said they had to buy a 2nd TV as the one set seemed devoted 24-7 to cook shows. The family plans on taking a cruise to the Bahamas from the proceeds on the sale of her cookbooks over the internet. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Carol's name may be made to any disabled veterans organization or the charity of your choice.
