Obituary: Henry J. Mowry, loving husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather went peacefully to his heavenly home on , 30, 2011 under the caring hands of Hospice. Henry was born 27, 1920 in Gering, Nebraska. He served 4 years in the Pacific Theatre during WWII and earned a Bronze Star for his service. He retired from the Post Office in 1985 after working there for 33 years as a supervisor of plant maintenance for the Memphis Region. retirement he volunteered at MIFA and the Food Pantry. Henry was a member of Trinity Lutheran for over 56 years where he served in various positions such as Trustee, Chairman of the Congregation along with various committee chair positions. He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Johnnie, children David (Sharon) Mowry of Arlington, TN, Deborah (William) Clark of Kalamazoo, MI, his late son Rev. Timothys widow Roberta Mowry of Traverse City, MI, grandchildren Kelley, Tracy, Sarah, Nathan, Paul, Joshua; great-grandchildren, William, Katherine and Caroline. He was preceded in death by his parents Earl and Amelia; son Rev. Timothy Mowry; siblings Orletha, Earl and Delores. The family will receive friends on , 3 from 1 pm until service time at 2 pm at Trinity Lutheran Church. Burial will follow in Memphis and Memorial Gardens. Obituary: Helen Ann Mowry, age 71 of Graysville, was granted her angel wings when she passed away peacefully afternoon, May 17, 2015 at the Life of Rhea . Her final days were spent surrounded by family and friends that Helen had touched in some small way throughout her memorable life. Helen was born in Ringgold, Georgia on 16, 1944, the daughter of the late John and Jewell Alexander. Helen had lived in Graysville since 1960 where she was a homemaker and alifetime member of the Graysville Seventh Day Adventist Church. Helen spent 18 years working at Rhea Medical . Helen enjoyed watching the birds cover her bird feeders, hearing her wind chimes, helping out with the childrens Easter egg hunt at Graysville Park, she loved visiting the Apple Barn and cooking for family gatherings. She is survived by her daughter, Susie Mowry of Graysville whom was her pride and joy, several dear friends at the Graysville Seventh Day Adventist Church. Obituary: Karen Rebecca Mowery, age 55, of McDonald, Tennessee went home to enjoy her Savior , 14, 2015. She was born 7, 1959 in Chattanooga. She was a 1977 graduate of Tyner High School and a 1982 Graduate of the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga with a B.S. in Education. She was a former teacher at Grace Baptist Academy and was currently teaching at East Brainerd Elementary School. She was a former member of Grace Baptist Church and was currently attending Brainerd Baptist Church. Karens love for the Lord was evident. She could commonly be seen in the early mornings reading her Bible. She was dedicated to her husband and children. Her greatest joy was caring for her grandchildren and pouring her life into them. Survivors include her high school sweetheart and husband of 36 years, Mark E. Mowery; her three daughters and sons-in-law Abbey and Gabe Johnson and their children, Sage, Ian, Caden, and Eli of Ooltewah; Katie and Chris Dockery and their children, Caleb, Luke, Emma Kate, and Baby Dockery of Chattanooga; Sara and Robert Hetrick and their children, Wallace and Charlie of Chattanooga; her parents, David & Carlin Buddie Usmiller of Chattanooga; her two sisters and brothers-in-law, Donna and Jerry Brown of Signal Mountain; and Trudy and Ben Neubert and their children, Lydia & Hannah of Harrison; and her mother and father-in-law, Robert & Helen Mowery of Cleveland. The family will receive friends , 17, 2015 from 2-4 p.m. & 6-8 p.m. at the East Brainerd Chapel and , 18, 2015 from 10-11 a.m. at Grace Baptist Church. Services will begin at 11:00 a.m. with at Grace Baptist Church with Dr. Steve Euler and Rev. Tony Leonard officiating. Interment will follow at Antioch Baptist Church .
