Obituary: Ann Meredith McKay, 86, passed away , 10, 2014, at a local healthcare facility. Ann was born in Horatio, Arkansas, to the union of Robert Paul and Dessie Dean Marrs Meredith. The family later moved to Shreveport, Louisiana, where Ann earned a degree in medical technology from Centenary . In 1951, she married Earl David McKay and moved to Chattanooga, then subsequently to Signal Mountain. Ann worked as a medical technologist at Woman's Hospital until the births of her son and daughter. She resumed her career after her children reached adulthood, and she retired from Erlanger Medical . She was a very devoted mother and Nannie who enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. She was a seamstress, cook and avid gardener who won many awards for her flower arrangements. She was active in garden, sewing and bridge clubs in her Signal Mountain community. She was preceded in death by her husband, Earl David McKay; son, Paul David Meredith McKay; and sisters, Paula Gallien and Theresa Duke Thompson. Survivors include her daughter, Julie McKay (Stephen) Hunter, of Signal Mountain; daughter-in-law, Emily Winchell McKay, of Signal Mountain; sister, Maralene Pollock, of Lubbock, TX; granddaughters, Ellen Meredith McKay (Patrick) Rafferty, of Houston, TX, and Laura Jane McKay, of Signal Mountain; grandsons, David Preston McKay Hunter and Joseph William McKay Hunter of Signal Mountain; along with several nieces and nephews. Services will be held on , 16, at 1 pm at Signal Mountain Baptist Church with the Reverend Sally Ensley officiating. The family will receive friends at the church from 11:30 am until the time of the service. Burial will follow at the Chattanooga National , where she will be interred with her husband. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 7625 Hamilton Park Dr., Chattanooga, TN 37421. are by the North Chapel of Chattanooga , Crematory and Florist, 5401 Highway 153, Hixson. Obituary: Lillie McKamey, 86, of Rossville, Georgia formerly of Chattanooga died , May 22, 2016. She was born 14, 1930 in Chattanooga to the late George and Janie Smith. She was preceded in death by her husband James K. McKamey; great grandson Ryan Campbell; siblings Viola, Ernest, James and Edith. Mrs. McKamey was very active in the American Legion Post 159. She volunteered at the veterans clinic and was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star. She was a member of Fairview United Methodist Church. Survivors include her sons, Donald (Yvonne) Campbell, T. Wayne (Carol) McKamey, and Michael R. (Mary Ann) McKamey; eight grandchildren and five great grandchildren. services will be 2:00 pm at the North Chapel of Chattanooga with Reverend Ronald Ragon officiating. Interment will follow in Hamilton Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends evening from 5-7 and from 11-2.
